These ones don't even understand what's at play and the consequences of such statement by Trump. You are using the aide to a minister to respond, instead of the minister himself and better still the president to comment on it directly, telling Trump the government is doing all it can to stop the killings that affects all religions and tribes. You don't know what an erratic Trump will see as a sleight on his person and what action he may take if he feels disrespected personally or on the issue he posted on. |
What we also need Trump to say is this 'there better be free and fair elections in Nigeria' s next election. If not not only would any such government from such rigging not be recognized by the greatest nation on earth ,but all those involved in the conduct of any such MASSIVE ELECTION FRAUD,will face severe, unprecedented CONSEQUENCES.Thank you to your attention to this matter'. Immediately you would see the best election ever conducted in the annals of Nigerian history and a genuine winner emerging. |
michlins:You know South East die. Anambra-Enugu,1hr Enugu-Nsukka 1:45mins-2hr 30mins depending on road conditions and security on the road |
Angelfrost:You are spot on. Had a plan to travel once again to the North where I surprisingly enjoyed, then the entire SouthEast, particularly the villages on occasions where you get to enjoy the thrill of SouthEastern Village life, but alas insecurity put paid to such plans. Sorry to say but haven't felt that same travel urge to visit core Southwest states, probably because didn't feel those same nostalgia felt for the North and Seast |
kilmot:Guy forget that story. Someone in the military wants to benefit from this made up tale. It's even possible that other generals eyeing the service chief posts came up with this so they can be sacked.Which better way to have a genuine reason to sack them than a coup story. Check it yourself.Do tanks get paraded any longer on independence day?How are the officers sure they were to BD on duty on independence day?How would they have got to Tinubu and if they did, they would overcome the heavy DSS security and kill them with ak47? Critically look into the story and imagine how possible it would have been to succeed. If any person was serious of killing Tinubu and not a coup because killing him is not even a guarantee a coup would succeed,is to to have him poisoned one way or the other. You can't in today's Nigeria stage a successful coup because the society is heavily politicized and polarised. This is a staged coup attempt and not an actual coup.I am 150% sure of it. Another clue:trying to link funds said to have been channelled to Silva as the money to be used for the coup.To buy weapons, tanks or aircraft you ask yourself. So any reasonable and not mentally sick officer would risk his life and career over say a promise of 500m in a scheme that is more likely to fail than succeed? The story tellers can f ool gullible Nigerians, not me. Coup kor, Corper ni! |
I still find this coup plot story like a hoax because only a mentally challenged officer or a drug addict would think a coup plot would succeed. So they would move tanks for example from Ojo cantonment to Governors house in Lagos and believe that simultaneously formations in Abuja would move same to Aso Rock? I honestly believe there is a witch hunt going on or that at best these were just discussions of a few drunken people and someone out for them now overblew it and reported it as a coup. Do you carry out a coup with just AK 47? |
The aide shouldn't have wasted time and energy giving this response. That time and energy should have been used to sue Sowore. I repeat,it's only a mad man, cocaine addict or drunkard that would entertain the notion that he can get some military officers to carry out a coup in Nigeria of the 4th Republic, especially this recent era. Instead of coup to succeed, another civil war will erupt because military officers are now so politically inclined so if one foolish few capture a certain barracks, they won't get any support from formations in other regions,so how can they march to Aso Rock to murder the president or overthrow the government. If indeed the rumoured coup story is true, they should look into the drug habits of thd officers involved or send them for psychiatric evaluation |
Sahara Reporters and foolishness. No Nigerian politician will be foolish enough to sponsor a military coup against any sitting president, unless the person is high on crack or an alcoholic that just whispered coup in the course of his drunken discourse with some officers at a joint. SR should stop concocting all these rubbish. I wonder why Sowore has not been sued to oblivion. |
Mischievous people on X and stupid followers. $2.4 cannot build the stadium in Kenya used for comparison. Even if the NFF officials involved embezzled some of the money,it can only come in form of shortchanging the payment for the labourers or reducing the number used or in form of telling the contractor to give them a cut. If for example the contractor's legit payment is N100m,NFF officials may pressurize him to give them 30m directly from his own cut,not from the Fifa source funds |
For these sacks,Tinubu deserves commendation. It was long overdo because the security situation was getting worse. But I feel it was the growing pressure and noises being made in the US that forced the president's hands because they felt once the noises got through to trump and he acts,no one can predict what action he may take that may include restricting families of government officials from travelling to the US,exposing and imposing sanctions on their assets, the fear of the average Nigerian politician with all their ill gotten wealth that they like enjoying in foreign western countries especially. |
See this mumu that was on the winning side in his battle with Blord now introducing the tribal angle to it. He wants to give Blord back the edge on a platter in a battle he had already taken as lost against VDM |
Smartcitizen:Point. How many people now watch Seun Akinboye of politics today or the morning show on Channels now compared to before? Nobody wants to sit down to watch goverment propaganda, especially on a private TV station. If they wanted to they have NTA to serve it to them. You wake up in morning before going to work or after returning and want to sit down and watch one minister or appointee spill out policy achievements without the presenter querying him or her or disputing it,no Sir! When Channels started being sympathetic to goverment officials and views people started abandoning it and switching to Arise because what the average tv viewer wants to watch is officials being taken to task, being exposed and government policies being scrutinized, rather than officials and policies being celebrated when they spill out mundane achievements or Propaganda. I would for example rather not watch TV than watch what Channels now ditch out,if Rufai Oseni is chunked off Arise Tv |
okomile:They were probably having issues while Dokpesi himself was alive. He probably was using his influence and connections to be getting loans to sustain the company and his life style. Now he is deceased, banks and probably friends that were lending him are either not doing so again or less inclined without substantial collateral. I bet you that once it's confirmed liquidated, that office would be taken over by the banks because of the amount of debts AIT has accumulated |
Foolish proposal. If an incumbent president or governor loses an election or even one that has completed his tenure,u are effectively making that person a lameduck for good six months or if bad one that has 6 good months to effectively put up policies that would handicap the incoming! People in that NASS behave like drop outs atimes |
Funny guy. How do you resolve a marriage between a drug addict and his non addict grandfather of a husband. This one doesn't know what hard drug addiction does and the havoc it can cause in a marriage |
Lies can only travel thus far. First lie, some years ago when power was barely had in nigeria with nationwide constant power outages, many Nigerians were saying that if people can have 24hr power supply, they won't mind the cost, they would pay. I laughed back then because I saw it as the height of f oolishness to think people can afford to pay for 24 electricity at any cost, even when the economy was ok and people living ok during time of GEJ. 2,Nigeria presently doesn't have the capacity and power infrastructure to guarantee a regular, uninterrupted power supply, even by private Nigerian companies. It's only foreign enterprises like happened in telecoms that would build generating and transmission facilities, that can. Second lie, when Aba electric came on board initially, many Aba residents were giving false info of having 24hour supply. Now that lie has been exposed |
Daejumong:Seems like old age related brain degeneration syndrome took old of him in his last days because this thing he said is disjointed and doesn't make any sense |
Nigerians. It's sweet to have a chance at still qualifying for the world cup and something tells me Nigeria will make it with the way luck with CAF rules has favoured us to reach even the play offs when all seemed lost just a few matches ago. But in our usual short term memory, nobody seems to want to start looking beyond this stage and start trying to correct our lapses. -Nwabali is a disaster waiting to happen. -We played very well against a Benin Republic team without some very key players. Nwabali in particular has been giving signs that he needs to be urgently talked to and he reassures the manager he won't try any of his s tupidity in the playoffs or his replacement needs to start being looked into, otherwise I know Nigerians, the same people praising the team now will be the same that will start crying that why didn't Nigeria look for another keeper with the errors Nwabali was committing! |
Cowards. What has that one man's action done to be the cause of reelection of Biya? Instead of there to be nationwide demonstration and strikes, ultimately resulting in marching to the Presidentia office to sack Biya, they are looking for a poor scape goat. |
99thEnemy:Wherever you see how this superflous, humongous sums being quoted as investments coming to Nigeria, you would always see a nigerian goverment official or hurriedly assembled business as the go between or the ones co making the announcement. At the end it's just an avenue for them to acquire unfair favourable business terms or vast expanses of land for almost free they will then commercialize and years down the line you don't see a chichi. Let an official goverment delegation meet the president and tell us they are investing so, so billions in so so specific areas. That's how genuine country to country investment goes, not 2,3 nigerian bizmen with some white or Arab faces telling brown envelope journalists they are coming with trillion dollars and no questions are asked. |
Na true! Average of $30b per year, more than our National budget and yearly foreign investment Western Nations would be struggling to get from Qatar. They have seen dimwitted people to deceive. |
RetroviralS:You are mixing things up and getting yourself and readers misinformed. Some of your assertions are correct, but the one about alcohol is not totally true. Fact is true and sacrosanct;that drinking alcohol in moderation does not translate to having hepatitis.Even daily intake for many people will not cause Hepatitis. But you are wrong when you claim also that it's only Viral infections,B, C that cause hepatitis. There is indeed hepatitis caused by alcohol intake,IN SOME INDIVIDUALS,either due to excessive intake or some individuals peculiar make up.It's called ALCOHOLIC HEPATITIS Though, the majority of hepatitis is still csused by viruses, but don't downplay the role of EXCESSIVE intake in some people. That's why moderation is key |
Putindbutt:What was good about Lagbaja? |
treesun:Spoken like a brain deficit individual. Yes,union leaders have their own faults with some selfish interest sometimes disguised as fighting for the general working class of the petroleum industry, but how would you say Dangote must be protected at all cost? Without loans he won't have built that refinery in the first place,so saying he would have invested the $10b shows how deficit this man is. So he thinks Dangote has a free $10b or more he would just go invest in stocks. What happened when Dangote monopolized the cement industry? Did cement price come down or increase? Instead of looking at all sides to take a decision that would benefit the entire country,he is already taking a hurried stance,so tomorrow if Dangote acts anyway he wants, nobody would question him |
Truths9ja:This one is deluded. Does he not also collect offerings? Unless he is working, otherwise he is getting funds to run his church and fund his life style from the church members one way or the other |
NassBoy:Sorry to sound bit harsh, but you are obviously beating the wrong bush and looking at the wrong corners. How will someone murder his wife for his mere suppport of a candidate, when he is not even a candidate himself? I repeat, get the spiritualist arrested with the 2 men you people mobilized. If the police do a forensic examination of their phone records or interrogate them well, they will point to the culprits. The person(s) that knew where the corpse was buried knows the killers. Does it not sound suspicious and odd to you that the spiritualist with his so called powers could tell where a corpse he is assumed to know nothing about, was buried, but can't use the so claimed same powers,to tell you people who killed her. Commonsense should tell you it sounds odd and needs further probing. Jun |
NassBoy:If you believe any fake "spiritualist" without having first hand knowledge could tell where her corpse lay, then you are certainly not ready to get justice for your relation. Arrest the spiritualist or confiscate his phone and go through the records. It will show his culpability directly or information he was supplied to by the perpetrators. He has no iota of power to see beyond even you,the Op. |
Where in this suit did he admit he forged his credentials? It's clear he,like many other government appointees and elected officials, forged the certificates he presented for screening, but PT is here trying to play smart by alluding to claims of admittance of forgery in the lawsuit that Nnaji didn't make. That's disengenious of them. |
Funny way to change names without changing names: Excel(Eko electric) IE (Ikeja electric) Electricity would soon become pretty expensive for everyone and there won't be anything like bands again.Every consumer will soon be in band A+. Lagos will soon be unrivalled as the most expensive city per GDP in the world. Families are now sharing flats,a modern version of face me, I face you. Transport cost is so high that on their legitimate incomes, civil servants can't afford to be commuting daily to places of work that exceed 10km from their residence. If you have a car you can't afford to fuel it daily,so you either abandon it or turn it to a taxi when going or coming back. |
