Based on subsidised life that are of no relevance and not sustainable in the long term which haunts us now.
The brain challenged one that said "subsidy is gone",one year on,show what that policy has benefitted the country. With removal of subsidy at least there should have been massive investment in the sector and fuel queues would have been a distant memory. But here we are.
It's not by shouting and taking populist decisions that makes you a leader,is looking at all the factors involved and knowing the best way forward.
Nigeria will NEVER recover from that ill fated, psychotic policy done at same time naira was floated.
There is no other way than for government to do what it's about to do,stupidly increase salaries of public civil servants and hope the private sector, now in intensive care, can magically follow to some degree.
But how can the business man or woman in that sector increase wages when their cost of production has shot up through the roof?

yardua reversed the sale of the refineries
yarduas policies chased virgin nigeria out
yardua killed efcc by sacking ribadu and appointing waziri

it is only the young and naive who will swallow this

several issues today are downstream of his decisions
See this ill and poorly informed:YarAdua started electoral reforms that culminated in the little improvement GEJ further consolidated,YarAdua stopped the Virgin deal because it wasn't beneficial to Nigeria.
He reversed the sale of the refineries because he clearly saw they were to cronies that would have crippled the sector or sold to third parties that could do the job, while they reaped massive profits just by selling.
It's the same issue happening with the power sector now,the Gencos and Dencos sold to political associates have neither added nor improved electricity distribution by a single kWh,they all saw it as a place where they could reap massive profits without being ready or having the funds to invest.
As a Northerner he nonetheless conceived the amnesty program,he reversed the kerosene subsidy removal because he knew the deleterious effect.
YarAdua wasn't a "socialist" as someone claimed,he was rather a pragmatist or social capitalist, the kind of economic model practiced by European and other developed Nations.
It's only the US that practices a pure capitalist economy, every other developed world practices some form of social capitalism.
He replaced Ribadu not for any other reason but the feeling that someone else could do better. If he had lived and seen that Waziri wasn't doing well he would have removed her.
This is the only president that lived up to the billing of being non corrupt in act and deed, declared his assets and those of his family,Openly and was ready to act on any corrupt case,no matter the person involved.
Remember during his time SM wasn't in vogue,so if he had come in this era when SM was is a large part of the world,I bet he would have acted on many of the ills being pointed out in officials and appointees of his.
The drawback YarAdua had was that his health was failing him,so he couldn't scrutinize what his family members and close associates were doing that was tarnishing everything he stood for.
For donkey years Buhari had been shouting on how corruption was our Achilles heel and how he was going to confront it,heads on.
When he gained power and was supposed to lay the simplest and basic of all foundations, declaring his asset publicly,he shirked from it.
Nobody was interested in the asset of YarAdua during his time, but without prompting he declared the entire family assets and forced GEJ to do same.
Forget,YarAdua 8 years would have transformed nigeria

You are insinuation she went for runs
Not necessarily runs per se,though that's a high probability
Could have been to a friend's house to stay, something went wrong, may even be that she had an ailment and died coincidentally from it,then out of panic, they or someone did this.
Why I don't buy the one chance theory is that if it had been one chance robbery that she died from,it could only have been from a object being used, she struggled with her assailants while assaulting her or she was thrown out of the vehicle;any of the aforementioned would have seen her with torn, rumpled clothes and at least bruises on different parts of her body.
None of this is showing from this picture

Wao.
Such a beautiful person gone like that!
Looking at her you would think she is just lying there after at worse getting high overnite, but to imagine she is dead is hard to take.
Whoever did this to this person should be caught.
All those saying it's one chance should also contemplate 1 other possibility I think the police should look into:she may have accidentally died in someone's home or a hotel she went to lodge in with someone, then out of panic the guy with other friends drove out to this spot and dumped her;or of it's a hotel connived with the hotel management to dump her,to avoid incriminating them, like happened to that postgraduate student that died in that hotel in Osun State or so.
This case with proper investigation should be sweet to solve:once she is identified, police should track her phone or plead for any of her female friends that last spoke with her to come forward without fear of arrest(females confide in their friends their "runs" or destination),from there they can easily track her movement or the place she last visited and I trust the Nigerian police for that, once her last physical location is known, they would get the truth from that person or people she stayed with.

Those people were also waiting to reap at least ₦100m profit, but they are gnashing their teeth now, only to income massive losses when the ₦ appreciated.
Any sensible person will know currency trading is a 50-50 and there is a line that should be drawn,i.e,even if one hates and detests Tinubu and even if he is the devil himself, anything he does to boost the ₦ will be welcome and those jubilating that the ₦ is depreciating are nothing but scumbergs.

Health / Re: Itching And Bumps On My Penis by seborrhic: 5:13pm On May 02
Hungrychicken:
Good morning good people of Nairaland, I want to share my own experience with itching and bumps on my private part. I want to share this so that any one having similar issues would have a better understanding of the problem. Because, I also read a few posts from other people here too that helped me.

It started around mid February, I was having eczema on my back and little bit of itching on my penis. So, I got some anti-fungal and tropical drugs for the itching and eczema that had started to spread on my body. After a while the eczema cleared but the itching continued. I spent so much already on the itching so I just ignored it. Since I wasn’t sexually active.

After a month, it developed into bumps around my scrotum, gland and buttocks.
This bumps would later itch like hell, and very sweet sensation, not painful no pus. Just sweet itchiness. The sweetest part of the itching was on the bumps.

I searched on Nairaland and started to hear similar stories and thought maybe it was scabies. I went to a Teaching hospital , and had a clinical diagnosis of scabies. Treated with ivec, benzoyl, etc but the itching and bumps were still not cleared.

I decided to go for a lab test 2 days ago, urine m/c/s. The result came out as Staph Aureus and yeast infection or so.
The pharmacist says 25,000 naira for treatment, injection, and drugs with cream.
I pray this get treated ones and for all.

This is for someone going through a similar problem. It might not be scabies or it could be. But First, get tested at the Laboratory to be sure. To avoid spending on whatnot.

I also need your thoughts in the comment section. And the test result interpretation. Thank you! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

A photo of a similar situation is below for better understanding. Also, my test result.
Pharmacist or chemist has scanned you with staph aureus.
Bet you after the drugs it may still not resolve because the bumps and itching there maybe a viral kind of infection,Herpes or even simply from a skin infection caused by using your boxers or underwears for long or under a moist environment(in this case it may accidentally resolve from the concoction of medications you got,not that the so called pharmacist was correct about you having staph).
Ask yourself this:if staph showed from the urine test, which indicates it must have passed through your blood and kidney then shows in the urine, why is it only your joystick that is affected and not your entire skin or other manifestations in your body?
Staph kor,coccus nil!

The sad part is that they are very quick to debunk any information against them as lies, see how the lady displays unprofessionalism by calling the information "false" at least she can use their normal tactics " I will get back to you as soon as I investigate".
So u resign by telling someone you are resigning and dropping your uniform or rifle without an official letter of resignation?
What if he did that under duress or under some internal or family issues that will later be tackled.
To show someone is in good mental health and is serious,he should tender an official resignation letter.
The wireless communication is also not a sign that he resigned of his own volition because the boss can as well have sent that communication.
The PRO did her job very well.
Oral or absention from duty or dropping of d
official items are still not accepted means of resignation.
A letter was given when he was employed,a letter too has to be given by him if he is serious or when he is sacked or dismissed from the force

Goodluck was not a competent leader,he only now appears so because the 2 buffoons after him have been nightmarish and outdone him in incompetence:one was a monumental disaster and the present is trying to rival his predecessor on who would ruin Nigeria the fastest.
The only good thing GEJ did was concede the election, which even happened because he had an inferiority complex and chickened out when the US threatened him a little. If he
was bright and was a little competent he would have figured the US and other powers threatening him wouldn't do shi t.That if he had forced INEC to annul the election or declare him the winner, the North would have erupted in few days or weeks of violence, the US would have imposed limited sanctions, mainly on GEJ appointees, but would still have been doing full business with Nigeria and after witnessing a few days or weeks of riots, mainly in the North with counter massive protests in the South, particularly the SS with it's massive oil resources, the fabric of the Nigerian economy and threat of both agitations destabilising Nigeria and affecting neighbouring countries, would have called for calm, for people to accept the flawed results and that the GEJ goverment has promised 'to reform all electoral institutions, release Buhari from detention, allow free, fair elections in the next election(2019)'etc.
Life would have returned back to normal after about 6 months and Buhari would never have become president to unleash his unparalleled incompetence on us.

That the likes of Buhari and Tinubu have been disasters doesn't mean GEJ is the answer.

Politics / Re: Nigeria’s Declining Economic Activities Worrisome – CBN by seborrhic: 3:08pm On May 01
They are talking of a shrinking economy and one clown is talking of increasing electricity,to further shrink an already distressed economy!
When you increase tariffs, companies reduce their working hours to reduce cost, they also have to reduce staff or even close some sections of the company.
Even the night time kiosk or small business outfit have to cut their hours, instead of eg,staying till 12 or 1am,they decide to close by 10 or 11pm,reducing their income.
So just by increased electricity tariff alone, there would be some contraction in the economy, added to that already caused by fuel and ₦ floating.
Assuming Nigeria even had a reliable data base and had been tracking economic activity professionally, they would have known that the economy started contracting since diesel prices went to the roof in previous regimes.
But in an economy run on faulty foundations, where a politician can steal government funds and build an estate or companies chiefly for laundering purposes or bragging rights,or where a scammer or kidnapper can hit a goldmine and construct mansions or business mall, all these things don't matter
What a sensible goverment would have done now is freeze all increases so people can have more disposable income to buy essentials and 1 or 2 not so essential but driver of the economy.
Even this idea that increased electricity tariff will improve the sector, run by political businessmen,is a fallacy
Make electricity 1k/kWh under these same companies now running it and there would be no change!

Politics / Re: Nigeria’s Declining Economic Activities Worrisome – CBN by seborrhic: 2:55pm On May 01
This is the one CBN top ranking official that has made sense and probably knows his onions.
Increased fuel price and full floating of the ₦ alone without commiserate increased wages across board, public, private led to one of the most dreaded economic nightmares, for any country that is serious:contraction of the economy because people can't afford to pay for some goods and services, even if available.
What does that do:reduces the buying of goods that manufacturers and producers depend on,reduces the income that artisan, bricklayer, small shop owner, medium shop owner, non foods businesses get.
Even transport reduces because some go on only essential days, then even fuel consumption reduces because car owners don't get to buy as much;etc, all these lead to contraction of the economy.
In an economy run property, even goverment income should reduce because there is less profit or income generated by companies to pay taxes.
But since the Nigerian economy is headed by profiteers, scammers, politicians and others with looted funds, all these don't affect what the government sees at the end of the day,so business and life goes on as usual from the government side

Look at yourself in the mirror very well and see the clown 🤡 that you are.
You've been fed with propaganda about GEJ government. If you are literate enough, you can check the indices of government and see that our economy was growing steadily under GEJ until the criminal Buhari came in.
Buhari and his gang of thieves stole Nigeria dry, the worst part is that he borrowed and stole what he borrowed, plunging Nigeria into the worst debt we have ever been in. Now we have another proper kleptomania that will finish the country finally.
You said the ₦ is depreciating because we are not exporting and only importing.
During GEJ'S time parallel market was at best 300 or 400,so my question which you have shifted the goal post on is this:what was Nigeria exporting during GEJ's time that we are no longer exporting.Or did the amount of fuel Nigeria export suddenly drop after he left office?
Secondly,so since he left office Nigeria has been importing far more than was happening during his tenure? How could that be possible I ask you when the ₦ had far more value, making imports cheaper for individuals and businesses and when there were no restrictions on what could be imported during his time.
As I said I am no supporter or fan of Tinubu, but these argument being chorussed that the ₦ is depreciating because Nigeria is suddenly no longer exporting and is mainly importing,is not only nonsensical but is like what children that just entered JSS 1 would put up in a theatrical debate
Business / Re: CBN Bars MFBs, Opay, Moniepoint From Registering New Customers - Gazette by seborrhic: 10:35pm On Apr 29

Nigeria was using her external reserve to support the exchange, that is what Tinubu said he stopped when he floated the naira.
During the time of GEJ, Nigeria was equally selling enough crude that we were seeing enough Petro dollars revenue. Go and check, Buhari has even collected advanced money for the crude we are yet to produce.
It's a simple math, you currency gains value when you have products that people are buying from you, they exchange their currency for yours, this adds value to your currency.
Clowns.
I am far from a Tinubu fan or believe in his competence but this argument guys like you sometimes come up with is laughable.
So when GEJ left,Nigeria crude exports declined?Gej tenure wherein ND militants were stealing crude like there was no tomorrow and ministers were siphoning part of our oil export earnings into their private pockets and foreign bank accounts?
GEJ tenure when people were travelling abroad to Dubai for every possible reason, even to buy Okrika shoes and bags to sell and people were travelling abroad for every manner of reasons, birthdays, get together, school child enrollment, graduation, parties etc.
Funny lots.

Chasing shadows.
Someone should tell Tinubu and Cardoso to leave Crypto a d it's traders alone.
You're not exporting anything and importing everything, yet you want the naira to magically appreciate.
What was Nigeria exporting during GEJ and Buhari's time that saw the Naira pick at ₦650 at the parallel market?
The converse question is:did Nigeria suddenly stop exporting when Tinubu came in,to make the ₦ depreciate so bad?
No matter how you look at it,an objective person will know that at least 25% of the Naira's depreciation has been caused by speculators and hoarders, not due to any sudden loss of export and increased imports because Nigeria was even importing more during GEJ’s and Buhari's tenures when ₦ still had some reasonable value.
My only grouse is that the CBN is not doing anything about politicians, goverment officials and even government agencies that mop up the dollar, hoarding it in order to make profit from it or just store till heaven knows when

There is also the other part of the argument wherein some people,on many threads will always come out to categorically state that once you lose your ATM card, your money is almost good as being wiped off.
I have tried arguing on many such occasions that it isn't as straightforward as that, that having access to one's card does not translate automatically to your funds being wiped off, unless the person has access to your pin,one way or the other.
I have usually cited an example of once losing my ATM card on a Friday and didn't bother blocking the account or the card till the following Monday and nothing happened.
I am not saying there maynot be advanced systems of card compromise, but it's extremely difficult, contrary to impression some Nigerians are creating and many Nigerians have, that a lost or stolen ATM card is automatic account wipe off.
