SeraphicWind:Thank you, don't mind the oponu. Relatively at ₦6000,a crate of egg is far more expensive than the $16 those in America are buying. At 6k that is almost 10% of minimum wage in Nigeria while at $16,that is less than 1% of the least wage earner in the US They indeed make stupid comparisons |
Aayemojuba:This your reasoning doesn't follow. So the man would be so foolish to be making a call to alert the robbers that their target is with him or so so place now just to steal a gold necklace? You people sometimes reason with the back of your brains. Infact the man that made that call should be the most innocent person in that group of persons if any of them were to even be suspected of involvement. |
Uhm! |
Pretty sure both deaths, being politicians in Nigeria, would be attributed to "spiritual attack" from their political opponents vying for their offices. No one would bother to know if they had health issues,if it was cancer, kidney or heart problem they had been managing with traditional means, naively believing they were ailments "thrown" upon them by opponents and thus could not be cured by orthodox medicine. |
"Give the Nigerian a gun and put a uniform on him/her and you would see they are no different from any other animal in the jungle" - Anon 1958 |
All the people saying Utd played well are the ones not well. These are 3 valuable points lost at home. Amorim has been given all he needs, yet he is still being tolerated. No one is questioning why he continues to use Ahmad as a wing back, how he hasn't improved a single player in that united team. There is a fundamental coaching problem. All said, let's see how the next few matches will turn out,but if this is what he has to offer over the next 10 matches, then united season is over before October |
Amorim may turn out to be the worst ever manager in Utd's history. For a coach not to know that Beyandir is a clown, that should be playing in English league 2,not even league 1 or the championship that should never be near a man Utd training pitch, tells you all u need to know about Amorim. Then benching Amad. If he can't beat this ordinary looking Arsenal team at home, then he has no business being in the Utd dug out. |
BreconHills:It's the eye service and selective justice I am against because it's likely the infringement didn't start during the break period. I bet you if it was another college,it would have been sealed even when the school was in session |
How do you pray for someone when you don't know the nature of the illness? What is shameful in saying someone has a cancer or a non curable ailment but with prayers of all, maybe a miracle can occur. We are all humans and a percentage would fall prey to one debilitating medical condition or the other, not out of any fault of theirs. |
Tokunboh trying to be ingenious by half. School would be sealed when not in session. Before resumption,it would be unsealed with claims they have complied. |
ikorodureporta:Typed by a road typist and no one capable of proof reading went through it. Seems like something put out by an illiterate. At least the secretary of the council must have some higher education |
Did I read "I and my partner"? That has a gayish tone to it. It should not be used in an African setting |
werthy:Indeed sounds fishy on the surface. I think though because it was a murder case, the police went the extra mile to carry out their professional duty probably with the phone tracker or an informant gave up the suspect but the Nigerian police now spiced it up with this tracking story. |
Stole somebody's phone and still killed him! Only a heartless or drug fuelled armed robber can do that. Public executions should be brought back so that it can dissuade robbers from their ignoble act. Also shows the danger of buying second hand phones from non reputable or legal stores. |
casualobserver:Funny enough, his is a much more grievous offence because he endangered the lives of passenger and crew In sane climes, unless he proves mental instability,he would be charged for terrorism because they assume only a mad man can stand in the front of an aircraft to stop it's moving. |
But Kwam 1 is walking free VDM should look into this matter because he seems to be the only one that has the guts to act,not many of the online warriors we see parading up and down who are easily bribed by money to do whatever influencing they do. Unless VDM has also been bought |

Pilot was stupid. This is an open and shut case of a passenger disrupting an airline operation and a plane from taking off at the tarmac, with evidence, that would have nailed him and given him appropriate sanctions,in addition to SM scorn and disdain, that would have affected him in many ways. But the st upid pilot has now turned himself to a subject of discourse, distracting from the main culprit and original offence. That pilot should be investigated because it looked like he/she had something to do in Lagos, that he/she wouldn't tolerate anyone that would cause a delay. In saner climes,Kwam 1 would have been arrested, banned from flying for several months and given a sentence and fine in a court of law. Then the pilot would have had licence suspected, sent for psychiatric evaluation,if proven sane, charged to court for endangerment of life. |
![]() Do they even know how jobs data are collated? Or 1 person sits in an office and starts conjuring stats from his a rse? If they know what they are doing they should give a break down of the sectors these jobs were created. Then they should give data of job losses. |
They have already been hosted and rewarded by the FG. This one is to singularly appreciate the Imo state indigenes of the earth, showcasing them and to serve as models for other aspiring talents from the state. There is nothing wrong with it. VDM is now feeling like one moral and nationalistic compass of Nigeria and in the process overdoing it. |
favour32:Though this story was copied from Punch newspaper,I totally agree with you on the dealth of true journalism in Nigeria, probably since the days of SM and bloggers. Even in the Punch report itself, you can see how poor things have become from this part of the story:"... who craved anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the subject" For heavens sake what's the need of telling us the anonymity is due to the sensitive nature. We already know this of course. Simply source wants to remain anonymous is what is required! |
Multibillion dollar contract and it's being signed in room and parlor office with just a few attendees. The contract maybe legit, but claiming it's worth multi billion dollars is just hard to believe from what I am seeing here. Nigerian outfits are known for exaggerating figures and data |

The opposition ticket,as detestable as it would be to some, with El Rufai's antecedents, should be Obi/El Rufai with Atiku playing the role of a leader but with concrete agreement of having a say in the goverment if the ticket wins, which it would if they get their acts right. Obi on his own guarantees you votes in an entire region,2/3 of SS,Lagos,Abuja, some states in the North(christian states guaranteed). What any Northern VP has to do is neutralize whatever Tinubu would achieve in the other northern states and this is where you need a popular Northerner like Kwankwaso or Rufai, though even doubt how many states or votes Rufai can bring to the table.Unfortunately there is no Northerner with formidable presence, except for maybe the Bauchi governor who doesn't seem inclined to pitch his tent. The only way Tinubu can defeat Obi is by rigging or using incumbent governors to empty their treasury to buy votes:20k per vote can turn many heads.20k per vote for even 500k votes is just ₦10b that is not up to the security votes of some state governors. That is where someone with real financial muscle comes in to booster the ticket to avoid large margins in states Obi would lose if left exposed in those far Northern states with extreme poverty and high illiteracy levels |
An 80year old man not wanting to accept the fact he can't ever be president. If Atiku so loves Nigeria he should allign behind Obi and play the role of a godfather and in the nature of politics everyone would understand if he gets to have a say in some Obi's appointments. That's the price every politician must be ready to pay,if you must wrestle power,be ready to dine and concede some posts to someone you wouldn't ordinary want to. Atiku doesn't have a path to the presidency:he would lose the entire SE to Obi,even if Obi makes the fatal mistake of being his vice SEasterners would rather stay at home than vote an Obi VP ticket;lose Lagos,Abuja,Kano,Katsina, the entire NE and almost the entire SW now that Adeleke wants to port and Oyo governor has his own ambitions. Wike would easily rig him out of the core SS states of Rivers,Delta and Akwa Ibom with massive margins. So where will he get the votes? But here is Obi's path:the entire SE,at least half SS,including Rivers if Wike's rigging machine there can be stopped, viz Edo,Delta,Cross Rivers, maybe Akwa Ibom. Obi would win Lagos and Abuja again He wins Taraba,Benue,Nassarawa,Plateau with impressive votes in Kano,Kaduna. The margin of Tinubu's victories in the SW states would be wiped out by those of Obi in SE. So vote tallies would be tied, leaving the deciding states to be those of Katsina,Bauchi,Yobe,Borno, and this is where Atiku's support can tip the margins not for votes per se but to use his financial muscle to prevent manufacture of large margins in such states that would tip the election to Tinubu Why would any reasonable person vote Atiku, the devil you don't know,in place of the devil you already know in Tinubu,if Obi is not on the ballot, knowing Atiku's path is almost non existent and his presidency risky? |
Love800:Manslaughter means someone was killed but the person that killed him/her didn't do so intentionally,eg,a car driver that had a break issue or overspeeding that now killed bystanders or other people in an accident. Also 2 people fighting, one pushed the other who then fell and died. Murder is when the act was intentional like in this case or poisoning somebody or the basic assassin |
planetx:Rather concluded he was a Yahoo boy. Even if he was,the callousness and devilish act must have been perpetuated by someone with the darkest of souls. Raped the girl, then murdered them, for what?800k and to hide the exposure of your identity. Jealousy may also have contributed to the dastardly act. The question I always ask:these people that commit murder, not someone involved in manslaughter, how do they think they can go scotsfree? |
Please where is the ageless and where is the beauty? |
Mabuggi88:Check Obi's spread in 2023,check Atiku's. A man that won in both Lagos and Abuja. Obi has more chance of wrestling the presidency than Atiku Many people would rather vote for Tinubu, not vote at all, than vote Atiku. Me for one, rather than dash a vote for a 80yr old,Northern oligarch, would rather give it to Tinubu, despite his shortcomings. Obi as VP would generate same lack of interest. The mistake Obi made was rushing to join the ADC when he wasn't sure of the ticket. I am sure the game Atiku and his followers will be selling to Obi is that he should be Atiku's VP,Atiku will do just one term and then back Obi in 2031.That will be the scam idea they would be floating to him |
Much as nothing can justify the man's action, but it's also a lesson for the wife to have tried to tamper the mother in laws actions. It's possible that the woman came to Canada and teamed up with the daughter to be oppressing or supporting the wife's stubborn and disrespectful attitude to the man. The 3 sides have fault |
Maxymilliano:He was not supposed to die because he was in a London hospital being treated by White doctors,if we are to go by Adeshina's reasoning. It's good he died in the London Clinic because if he had unfortunately died in a Nigerian Hospital, even if it's the likes of Reddington,Evercare,Duchess, the talk would have been that he wouldn't have died if he was taken abroad for treatment and the goverment may even have ordered the IGP to investigate the "remote and immediate causes of his death". |
