Woah there is really a ministry of women affairs , I thot it was a joke |
Beaf:Hehe you were screaming when yar'adua was missing- now you have renewed enthusiasm about Nigeria ![]() Dis Guy:You seem like a sexist. I am uncomfortable around you ![]() |
lol textile industry. They don chop our money finish. Beaf:He is from your region. He is a criminal lol. You think na clean hands u use to enter the naija governemnt ![]() |
Dis Guy:Some people are above the law, just a certain class of people. Like everywhere in the world it is who you know that matters. Its not an affair of migrant or not. If he was friends with the head of scotland yard or whoever handles police business I am sure his records would have been expunged. I have seen cases inan advanced country where someone got into real trouble (not rubbish like running traffic lights) and his file never reached the court because his father was high up in the police dept. |
blacksta:Not true, certain people in Europe are above the law, just not an immigrant black man from Nigeria. |
chosen04:hmm u did not even create a good word at least you could have started with igbophobic hehe. I am neither, I only get angry when I see news about igbo people claiming they are better than other people, or attempts by igbo people to secede. If I don't stop this now, the conseqeunces for you people might be disastrous. Are you sick Huh Huh HuhNo, I am not- you don't catch my drift and you never would so I think its a waste of time pursuing it. You're simply running away from the facts.Which facts? To start with your first assertion, no one thinks the igbos would become more advanced. From previous african scenario, I have a rough estimate of what would happen in the unlikely event that the igbo people form their own country. Moreover, the repercussions that could result from a secession- the Nigerian government blocking all transfer of funds of igbo indigenes, especially those who live in the south-west/north- yes they can do that (please don't be sentimental and start boasting about some assumed might of igbo people), trials and execution of secessionists and those abetting them (which some idiot would call later in the future a genocide), enforced restrictions of igbo in certain places in Nigeria e.t.c As for being concerned about the welfare of the igbo, I really don't care what happens to them, or what happens to Yoruba or Hausa- I am really interested in what happens to Nigerians. Further, my perspective is 50% academic, I really want an argument why there should be an igbo nation apart from silly sentiments. |
With all the terrorists running around britain, it is a wheelchaired man they are worrying about. LOLZ |
That notwithstanding, going back to your answer, your analogy “the reason why the igbo cannot leave Nigeria, is the same reason why someone cannot kill their fellowman” is not only laughable but absurd.I was simply showing you that people could not do what they want just because they felt like it- whats so intrinsically wrong with murder anyways? I doubt someone could give an objective good reason why we should not kill one another. Fellowman is quite a subjective and group think term. I usually leap logic and expect people to follow, another overestimation i make. Mind you, no entity is eternally bound to remain in a union for which there was no formal agreement. Unlike the US in which some states agreed to form a union and later incorporated others into it, Nigerian nations never had any plebiscite nor signed any agreement to form a country rather was imposed on them by our slave masters, which unlike Southern Cameroun, had a plebiscite before joining CamerounWho told you that? Divine law? Stop using the US as an example lol, its so totally different situation. Or canada- nothing in their history is similar to the Nigerian case. Moreover these arae bonafide first class countries- igbo are a backward group in relative terms of development- allowing them autonomy could be disastrous |
chosen04: chosen04:I am agnostic- stop all this satan and jesus crap. 006:Well everything you needed to know was packaged in that short answer. You need to be above a certain intelligence to unpack the message, but I apologize I super overestimated your worth. The igbo cannot leave Nigeria since for one, they are constitutionally bound to Nigeria. They hold a Nigerian passport, and their identity around the world is Nigerian. Doing so, is a crime against the political state of Nigeria. These laws were made to ensure the integrity of a nation and to prevent the breakdown of law and order. Laws like this are important because the prevent any single group of people opporessing others- albeit this goes on in Nigeria with the supposed presence of a Hausa/Fulani hegemony (An assertion I still don't agree with it). However, the reason why the igbo cannot leave Nigeria, is the same reason why someone cannot kill their fellowman, is the same reason why the rights of every individual is counted for in the constituition. Its the same reason why when someone asks me- where are you from? And I say, I am from sefago nation, of sefago race. I hypothetically could, but I could do so as a nonconformist and people would just see me as crazy. You figure it out. To give you a hint think of the consequences, if every Tom, Dick and Harry were given the right to autonomy- then how will nation states strive? This present socioeconomic and political order in the world- the one of Nation states- emanates from an unspoken agreement about what type of power structure that should be in place. Such a power structure depends on suppressing any right for an individual to declare himself independent of any nation at a whim. Groups like the Hmong and Samoans are shady cases as lamii pointed out. For example, I know there are a lot of Hmong people in the US because of genocide attempts on the aforementioned people in Laos. So a significant number of them moved to America for political purposes. However, the Igbo are not a recognized as a distinct political and state entity by anyone. |
^ whats the purpose- and why do you want us to join in the practise of stupidity ![]() When the police are racially profiling black ppl they dont ask for ethnic group. I really dont know what benefits one expects from just creating their own psedogroups. I might well create a n ethnic group called smurfs and secede with my bloody family. |
Just give me a reason why you want Igbos to remain in Nigeria? The same reason why I cannot form my own country. group of people cannot just decide to leave a country- are you guys blockheads slol? |
lol. I'm yoruba and I got a bit disappointed on reading this topic to be honest. because I find some igbos on nairaland to be a bit exclusive and not too loyal to the country (nigeria).Thats the main reason why I get angry when I hear these people talk- not that i have anything against igbo just that they seem to be obsessed with leaving |
Beaf:I can't believe you lol. You are obviously seeing the goodside of this criminal because he is from your ethnic group hehe. |
^ lol. So sad that a nobel laureate for retardonomics is not awarded, some people here deserve it and would be more than exceptionally qualified. |
Onlytruth:Yoruba ppl are diplomatic- we will kick you guys out one at a time ![]() |
haha the deluded king of africa is focusing on naija instead of his sh.ithole of a country. Tufiakwa |
LOL, chief speaker for Ekiti state |
for those of us laboring under the illusion that spliting nigeria will lead to an end to bloodletting . . . interesting thread - you'll get to see ezeuche talking out of the other side of his mouthOh and you forgot the part where ibos might still be killed in the North of Nigeria regardless of a separation. The problem isn't alaigbo as part of nigeria, its the christians in the north who are ample prey for crazed arab wannabes. |
And I think it is selfish of you to keep people in this country against their will. For the record, we Igbos could care less about the oil that is found in our land. You do see that there is not much oil exploration in Alaigbo even though we have the oil. The reason being, is that we seen the mess the Federal Republic of Nigeria has done in the Niger Delta. We do not want that nonsense in our land. Then those people should leave Nigeria for another country. What does this have to do with seceding? Pssh people should learn a lot about international law- no one has the right to leave a country just because they dont like it- wtf. The present system of nation states is for a reason, and the continual formation of useless umbrella nations would just lead to chaos in which one man decides to form a country by himself. |
platinumnk:Interesting you form an analogy with South Korea and North Korea when these two countries have a track record of successs. Even North Korea is 10 times more developed than anywhere in Nigeria. The only difference is that they are socialist/communist. LOL, this is so much different than the Nigerian situation. Moreover the Korean situation was a result of the second world war. further, I am always skeptical of any analogy because they are more often than not spurious in nature. frosbel:Hmm. how are the hausa/northereners plotting your downfall? Nigeria is still a tribal nation after 50 years and that its situation looks ok to me. You mentioned that Igbo people are being slaughtered in the North, but is it because they are igbo or because they are christians. You interacted with igbo people but did you try and find out from hausa people themselves why they used to kill igbo people in the north. By the way separating would serve no different solution, than all the igbo people moving back to alaigbo and staying there, so why not seek the alternative. |
@sefago, when you need to move and you drive into a cul-de-sac (close ended street) naturally you will want to reverse and seek another option, road, street or even swim across a canal. We have come to the end of the road here, do you want to remain in the cul-de-sac?
Then we could consider other options, i.e la revolution, we dont need to break up then, that is not the only available option |
