Simplyleo:
I support Imo state govt on this.

Why are they disturbing the gov's peace?

Can't the workers find their ways to either Lagos or Abuja and start protesting in front of bourdillon or Aso Rock as the case may be?

Are they not aware it is Tinubu and Buhari that embezzled their salaries?
I was expecting to see this kind of comment only that I wasn't expecting to it as FTC. I'm not too disappointed, in fact this was the reason I click on the news feed.
this is just to dumb to be in the class of sarcasm...............when will you wake out of your nightmare?

I am not ‘pained’
But I think with the level of male violence against women in this day and age, people should guard against criticising a woman for her own styles. Why would another man feel entitled to criticise a married woman in a photograph with her own husband? Must I be emotionally affected by something before I comment?
I don't know what to say but still I'm in support of the point he raised.
come to think of it on the other hand base on your point, I won't support you less. I'm a male who is equally tired of Nairaland for many reasons of which the rate at which platform has become a weapon in dehumanizing our girls and women is out the ordinary.
I tend to ask myself are women this so bad but answer is always on the negative. truth is the attack is good enough for our government to profile this platform. if the platform is profiled who loses? Seun. this deranged and unbridled lose animal will still find another platform to go exhibit their madness.
on the issue he raised, I'm equally tired of us losing this African touch in our society. all we bring from the west destroys our own identity but leave out things that would develop us.
I love it when I see our women with their natural hair, most is when it is done in our local weave style but all this foreign stretched hair are nothing near the beauty our local hair style brings our women I believe that was same sentiment that guy was sharing.
for the gender base attack I stand stop it because mare saying it on world standard platform as this the idiot that started would sell the wrong notion to millions of innocent and gullible ones.

I do weekly contributions as well, but that's not a direct loan. The problem with our people is impatience and sacrifice. You tell them that they have to save and wait for 6 months before they can obtain loan from the cooperative society, they will pass. Or, the weekly contribution that could span over a year!
you've finally open up our people and finished them. no one is willing to grow and groom their way to success but they want it quick and hot at the end it will get their tongue burnt and throat choked.
I strongly advise those around and who ever cares to listen to go into contribution for it is easy even faster than all the scheme they run after believing they are better, easier and faster but leaving them devastated for more longer time than they would have waited.

The guy I quoted said "borrowing leads poverty-tea", he was being general and not specific.
I quoted you too on Lapo issue. All those loan apps, I understand everything about them and I wouldn't advise anyone to borrow from them. But micro finance banks are entirely different. Let me give you an example: if a member default in a particular week, another member who wants to take loan will be ask to pay for the defaulter for that week. They don't take extreme measures like what I'm reading here. Me, I'm a cooperative societies guy.
what I know about the online platform is they cast everywhere even down to you family members.
though for micro LAPO, I can confirm to you they extra miles in redeeming the fund. I have one on my street, besides I've had people I that did the scheme even before the one on my street came, the way they scamper to pay back is hypertensive.
for cooperative scheme bro you be chairman o, you money is the one speaking and working for you now. unlike this one without dividend and still you over pay interest.
it better to go into contribution or cooperative than all this devilish soft loan scheme. you running a scheme that gives you rest of mind and room to sleep unlike all this soft loan and micro scheme. the greed in our people won't make them want to.

Lapo is a micro finance bank and loans from micro finance banks are not quick loans but short term loans from 6 to 12 months. And you have to be a member/customer for some time first.
yeah thanks, I knew this was basically for the online and other platforms, I just have to group LAPO because of the same devastating effect it does bring even worse than the one being treated on this thread.

May be you are referring to borrowing for consumption but not borrowing for investment
sir it seems you don't know or understand this loan we are debating here? it's not even a soft loan na quick loan, sharp sharp loan, it is generally know as LAPO in my environment, though there different schemes that has the same modus operandi.

Sometimes one runs into an unexpected expense

Thats why
well what else can I say?
I don't want to be diabolical but permit me to this money is devilish. it's no live saver in its entirety.
you need to see the devastating effect on people. though some do well with it (unarguably 5%, even if up to that). during payment and after it is always devastating.
I have case at hand, a woman who's my wife adopted elder sister, she does sell pepper and was doing well but now hardly does she goods for sale.
very early a certain morning barely a now she rush down to my wife for a loan of three thousand naira, unfortunately she not been to pay back. this how this useless loan turn almost them all.
another case was when I was with a private school, the woman selling grocery the pupils was very good friend of mine, same way I loaned her around ten thousand though she paid up but in bit. I can't tell if finished the repayment, how much do I earn that I could be loans a business woman. the bottom line here is the effect of the loan on her life made pray never to fall victim.
it goes as far as bringing the humiliation in the society, you never knew when the agreement for the loan was being signed but t he entire world would know it's time for the weekly repayments.

I keep wondering why people go for this loan, it beats my understanding and imagination!?
from my observation greed is all I see in person going for this quick loan popularly called lapo.

your understanding about MKO Abiola and the west is limited so I leave it at that.
you would have made your opinion count with insulting my personality and understanding. I don't respond to insult, you can do better to pass more the internet remain an abstract world.

I agreed with you on the airpeace case. But Dangote our own, selling us product in higher rate pains me a lot. But thanks for your clear write up.
I can't agree less with on the high cost of products though I won't take side for Dangote but good number of factors might play out of which I will say high cost of products is just the reason he is a capitalist (our government liberalising the system, my main reason not being in full support of outright privatization of the system), another play out here might be cost of production, also exchange rate and landing cost of equipment and raw materials.
for all aforementioned the government isn't helping in any way to alleviate the pain of its citizenry. if you've being following trend, you will notice the government always tightening up anything that will bring succor and happiness to citizens.
we need more competition in the system to break Dangotes monopoly which I don't really see as monopoly because we have other competitors who only wait (order than being a competitor), seizes Dangote move to inflate price of their commodities. still we don't have to support the west to destroy the few successful ones we have, never should it happen to us, we can handle our own case ourselves. their impact and devastating effects on the arab spring can't eroded so soon at usa should mind their business.

he's right.. Beside, it not about using two account on one platform that makes you smart. We all know how the system work, who the system favours and why the system revolves around one geographical region. Stop supporting nonsense because you're from same geographical region. That guy don't know you and he won't put a dime in your table, just as nor will do for me. But let join hands together and flush them out!
how old were you during the 'HOPE 93' saga and struggle (I come in peace)?
the same they silenced MKO Abiola is about playing out already. Dangote is more of a threat to the west than you and I.
the rate at Dangote and is like are industrialising the nation would cripple the west and it's business interests in Africa (just get that clear). usa can't afford any African nation or nations go the way of Asia or China. as at the time Nigeria established the television and radio station in Africa the entire Asian Continent never a single box set of a chrome or a black and white tv but today we have the 'Asia Tiger' business block, China the lone ranger, etc.
Dangote is our own headache not theirs as such we will deal with him in our own terms not theirs. we can't afford to go the way of 1993, delivering like we did MKO. the gap is still the we are still leaking our wounds.
forget the regional wahala, na our own internal issues be that nobi one the few industrialist wey we get dem for target now. why were they after the owner of airpeace? innoson, proforce are doing us proud let us protect them.

Is the US that would hold your government accountable for you?
Do you think you can really compete with them?
if we put our home in order we would sure do compete with them.
they can to some extent help us hold our government accountable and if can't in anyway they should outrightly stay off our affairs.
if our corrupt government is volatile and untouchable to for them, then our citizens that are driving the economy shouldn't be their headache. the same way MKO Abiola became a threat to the west with is fame and political influence same is about playing out.
the west is gradually sending the signal, working towards silencing Dangote the way they did MKO Abiola.
usa should let us be, the have more than enough on their plate for a headache to handle than nose around looking whom or nation to destroy.
