Good morning house

Im new to this ehailing business.
I register for bolt last week.

I didn't always pick order and most of my client will cancel after driving to the PU. My bolt account has now been suspended due to low score and low acceptability.

Pls how do some1 survive this.

I only pick 1 out of 20 requesting that comes in because this is a part-time work fr me as a side hustle.

My Toyota Corolla 2006 is showing engine light ON for a while now... A friend of mine assisted me to scan it and below error codes are displaying:

‎P2419

All codes related to EVAP system, leak detection system, EVAP switching valve, Faulty EVAP canister.

Pls what is the solution to these.... I have asked my mechanic and he pointed that I should not bother about the canister and this is a mere fault. Pls advise.

Tourist visa refused under 214(b) simply means the VO who adjudicated on ur case is not convinced enough that you will return to your home country after your visit to the US, and believes you might be a potential immigrant. U can reapply for the visa again but I strongly advice that you wait for ur situation to change before you will reapply again either funds, work, family ties which you need to work on it

So I started filling my DS-160 form and I presently need your clarification on the part where I need to input U.S. Point of contact information.

I intend going for tourism and I have made my accommodation booking regarding that. So I’m confused in the contact person they want me to input.

Can the house help me clarify what to input for the contact person surname and given names as well as the organization name.

My plan is solely for tourism and vacation.

You can input the name of the tourist attraction center you plan to visit incl their phone numbers and probably email details

Input the name and contact of the hotel you want to stay if staying in hotels

what i blv went wrong is you sponsoring your family ... the company should take responsibilities of a complete family package for the trip
.. so you sponsoring your family for the trip with your pocket money is a red flag that your family might not return back as a japa syndrome

everyone should think ahead and be smart if going for interview ...
the mindset of every VO interviewing a Nigerian in Nigeria is set to be japa due to the country current situation..
they saw what is going on with UK ..

Ur points might be valid, but I think US VO thinks differently individually... even before applying for the visa, we aiidy think of it if my company had sponsor the whole family and at the same time, we think it might be a red flag as VO might think if we didn't have the fund on our own as a family to go on vacation.
Same scenario another VO will think differently and approve us the visa.
US visa is just Grace of God.

If you were there yesterday you would understand the whole scenario. I'm an "expressive" individual. I have mastered the art very well I won't lie to you.
Firstly, this woman was not ready to listen, I was actually forcing myself to spew out the few I could. She was cutting everything. Immediately she asked a question and you are about to answer her, she would cut it instantly. The few things you saw that came out of my mouth, I spoke them forcefully. She wasn't listening to people, she was just issuing out the blue paper after few questions without expecting replies.
Firstly, she didn't ask a question related to how the course would help my career or company but I still wanted to chip it in when I was telling her about my funding, what I do and even why I picked the school yet she did not allow me to talk on it. She stopped me abruptly
Secondly, I already prepared financial statement and I cannot give her if she didn't ask for it, I can only defend it with my mouth and I think I did justice to an extent to that by mouth, by telling her how much I pay myself from each of the companies monthly and the total annual income. It is against their rules to bring out documents if they don't asl for it, that can disqualify one.
Lastly, on the home ties, we didn't get there in the first place. I wanted to use the opportunity of why I chose the school to explain home ties but she didn't allow me.
And I want to tell you that the few words I wad able to speak out, I managed to maneuvered her questions towards them, she didn't bother to ask or even care to listen. She was quick to say, ok or I got it. For example, check the questions you will discovered that when she asked that was that the only school I chose, that was when I started using the opportunity to let her know the reason I chose the school among the three. She didn't ask to that extent but since I have discovered her pattern I wanted to see if I could maneuvered myself to speak out my unique story. But the truth is you can only convince someone that cares to listen to you. At least, she gave more than 7 people before me blue paper, including a man that has travelled to different countries like France, Germany, UK, etc. The man was articulated enough and he has a strong home ties with evidence but what finally came out of the woman mouth was "sorry, you are not qualified for this visa".
And nobody should tell me that I didn't pray o, I prayed, I quoted the bible, I did everything necessary and I also prepared by reading more than one hundred transcripts and listening to Argo, an online organisation founded by over 20 former US visa officers, where they educate people on how to answer visa questions. And I practiced all these in mocks with people and alone.
I believe probably, that's just God's will. Maybe He has another plan for me

I have heard and read Abt ur story and almost same story happened to me on Tuesday at the Lagos embassy... I know u have really tried your best this time.. Better luck next time or better still you can retry other countries.

So sorry about your experience. Let me state a few things based on my little experience.

1. Travelling with your wife and child for a work related trip is a red flag.

2. It is not really a summer travel time for Nigerians. So it makes no sense to them for the whole family to take a trip at this time. Nigerians travel a lot around July - September when school is out. I checked and the conference is in June.

3. No home ties. Nothing to bring you back to naija. You are travelling with your family.

So apply alone next time then after the trip they can apply. All the best.

Thanks for your kind advice. We applied that I'm going for a conference and after the conference I will be visiting some tourist places with my kids and wife. Yeah I can equally understand to apply alone next time as applying with my family triggers japa alarm.

I had my B1/B2 interview yesterday 18th Apr and my visa was denied along with my wife and my 3yrs old baby.

Location: U.S embassy Lagos

Our interview timing scheduled for 7:30 a.m we reach embassy around 5:45am, soon the security screening started and people started lining up according to the timing slot. We were lined up and like 70 other applicant were in front of us. But due to the fact that we had a baby, the security guys gave us expedite service and we were brought to the front row for the security check.

Fast forward getting to the interview hall. Also many applicants were aiidy lined up. Again they gave us expedite services and we were lined up to the front when they want to check our documents. The guy collected our passport and after checking all our docs. He asked me hw old is our baby and I said 2 n half years old, he then insert a pink carbon paper inside my baby's passport that we can show them on the next queue so they will attend to us fast.

Again they place us in the front to have our biometric. It was a white woman who did our biometric, and told us my baby won't need to do biometric .. but my baby insist she wanna do biometric and started disturbing us.

Now, after biometric and again they took us to counter window 5. It was a black America lady.
She approves the 2 guys in front of us for F1 visa.

Interview proper.
VO: Good morning, hw are you
Me and My Wife: Fine...Thank you (with a little smile)
VO: Ur passport pls
Me: (gave all our 3 passports)
VO: (first question asking me) have you travelled before?
Me: Yes, have been to India and Dubai.
VO: (she asked my wife the same question)
My wife: Yes, have been to Dubai and Oman

VO: why are you travelling to the United states
Me: I'm going to the United state for the 2023 Midwest Travel Network conference which is coming up in Kansas city...and as a travel Manager in my company.. my company is sending me for....(VO cuts in)

VO: Midwest what?
Me: Midwest Travel Network conference, and I try to expatiate on it further. (keeps typing)

VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: my company will be sponsoring my trip and I will sponsor my wife and my kids

VO: is company sponsoring ur family also?
Me: No, I will be responsible for my wife and my kid.

VO: how long will you be staying?
Me: 2 weeks

VO keeps typing... for another 1-2mins and turns to my wife.
VO: What do you do?
My wife: I have a restaurant which I run and I have some staffs there
VO: (keeps typing) and ask my wife again
are you seeking any medical attention.
My wife: No...
VO: You are not going for any medical attention?
We both answer together: NO
VO: keeps typing again for long time......

VO: Sorry but you are not qualified at this time
She hands us the blue paper (214B)

Me: Thanks and we left.

Note: we have all documents intact all letters from my company, payment receipt for the conference, invitation letter, bank statement both company and my personal statement.
She didn't give us any chance to present any of the documents.

What really went wrong in case of another time.

Kindly go ahead and input your child passport numb... Irrespective of who filled the form (preparer)... U must input the child passport numb.

Ur friend can state his travel history on the DS160 form, but it will be better of he gets photocopy of his lost passport along with the stamp entries for each countries he has visited in the past

Login to your CGI click on provide feedback. Use Update my DS160 as subject or anything you can use like New DS160 or anything then tell them that you want to change the DS160 forms in in your profile. detail it for them iN this format OLD DS16 - NEW DS160. you can include the names of the applicants. Thats OLD DS160 - NEW DS160 - APPLICANT NAME.

If you're doing this make sure you do it 72 hours before the interview.
When my parent renewed I applied in Feb and the interview was in November I didn't update the form(a personal decision and just sheer laziness on my part) but it did not affect anything, she got her visa.

Lemme answer this to the very best of my knowledge:
1.You need to update a new DS160 for urself, wife and ur son since the previous DS160 is over 9month when u applied. Some things might have changed Abt you for the past 9month. U will only able to update ur own DS160 on ur profile but meanwhile you need to call up the embassy in other to update ur wife n ur son DS160 onto ur appointment profile.

2. I bliv this is a 2 way thing... you can try to get a passport for ur new baby.. purchase MRV fee for the visa and make a new DS160 for ur new baby...take it along with you on the day of the interview. They may allow you in with the new baby because u won't be able to get appointment date for d baby on the same day as the rest of the family. Otherwise you can go ahead to do interview waiver (Dropbox) for ur baby so far it's less than 2yrs old.
Congrats in advance on ur visa approval.

1. Did I need to update the new passport number on my profile?
2. Can I use the old passport number or the new passport number to fill the new DS160 form?
3. Will my invitation letter for the conference bears the new passport or old passport number?

Yes you need to fill a new DS160 firm as the previous is over 6 month... Just update the new DS160 form on ur profile

I have a question regarding my B1B2 interview wc is scheduled for April 2023. But my passport has expired on 10 Mar 2023. I have applied to renew my passport since January but up till now, my passport is not yet ready.

Please kindly advice if I can go ahead to my interview with the expired passport if the new passport is won't be ready before then.
