Hello everyone,
Please which online paid resource will you recommend for a complete beginner to start learning French?
I have heard of a number of options like Frenchpod, Rocket, FrenchwithAlexa etc.
If I’m to pay for just one online resource that is well structured from start to finish, which one will you recommend?
Thanks |

So for the late comers, is DF and DS still good at current entry prices? DeRuggedProf: What you did with the proceeds is actually the problem....
I sold ALL my DF around N9.00. I have returned what DF will return only when/IF it gets to N23.67..... |

Good challenge. Perhaps just psychological thoughts and just concerned about current entry prices DeRuggedProf: Hope you are 18+. Have you stopped buying beef coz your dad used to get a pound @ N70? Missed out on DF. Guess it's too late to get in and should wait for a pullback...Views? Also, for stocks I bought at low prices, I'm finding it very difficult to buy more. For instance, avg cost of my DangSugar is ~7 and UBA ~3.5. So loading more at current prices will bring avg prices in my portfolio upwards. Anyone else having the same mindset. Appreciate your views. Also to note my portfolio is planned to be held longterm. sellydion: DF on steroid again ! |

@Emma Are you planning to hold for just 6 months or for long term. I'm going for my rights as well, although didn't explore buying additional rights before now. emmanuelewumi: MJ
The offer will be over subscribed, the issuing houses handling this offer are top notch, Stanbic IBTC capital, FBN Quest merchants Bank and Zenith capital.
Currently processing a N10 Million 6 months facility for this offer.
Your best bet is to buy the rights on the floor from those who won't take their rights rather than asking for additional rights. |

@feelamong Thanks for the info. Standard Chartered quoted a range 18% - 18.5% for 364 days. Do you advise we go with the midpoint between the two bands, say 18.2% or we stick with the lower limit of 18% to play safe? feelamong: The secondary markets closed at the same levels as it closed on friday...
I will advise that we go with the Rates advised by Standard Chartered Bank...
Am going with theirs |

@feelamong and others 1. Please what rate do you advise for 364 days 2. What does current market price and recent stop rate at OMO auction mean? And how does it relate to expected rate at next auction? 3. Is the current market price the rate one will get at the secondary market? Expecting to hear from you feelamong: As at on friday 91 days closed at 15.3
182 days closed at 18.5
364 days closed at 19.6
Lets wait and see the rates for monday first before tuesday bid date |

@Hajj, Lastpage Many thanks. Hello everyone, Pls quick question. Do I need parapet for Aluminium roofing (Longspan, Steptiles or Metcoppo)? Thanks in advance lastpage: @Selade
With those diagrams/pictures, l think Hajj M has nailed it completely. A Picture, they say, is more than a thousand words.
The only thing you need to do is take "pen and paper" and do some "mathematics" (if you dont mind), using Pythagoras theorem (C^2 = A^2 + B^2) where C is the rafter side of any chosen triangle within the roof, A and B are the other two sides
or you can also use that acronym we use in Secondary school days: SOH-CAH-TOA.
where S= Sine of Angle x°, C = Cosine and T = Tangent.
With these two equations, you can calculate all you need concerning wood and Aluminium cover.
My Take:
*Roof can beautify a house in unquantifiable ways!
*Choice of roof-shape is also determined by the Shape of your building
*The higher the King Pole, the costlier your roof will get.... but High Roof wont rust/leak easily as they dont retain water or debris, easily.

@Hajj, Lastpage, syder880 If you don't mind, can you pm me your phone number. I still need lots of guidance on roofing & subsequent stages on my project. My immediate questions is around the following: - Roofing design: I hear of gable, dorman , flat. Need a bit more clarity on the different types and how it impacts the cost for woodwork and roofing. - What's the best place to source wood for the wood work. - I expect the roofing dimensions to be about 500sqm. I need to get a rough estimate for labour charges for both wood work and actual roof installation, to use as benchmark. - Appears Tower & 1st Aluminium will turn out to be very expensive, so need to discuss further on the alternatives. etc etc etc Really appreciate your assistance. mufutau55: Is as good as any other. I don't really worry about buying name brand sometimes. I am not that rich for the brand name stuffs. I have used many imported sheets in my other buildings and no problem. Just make sure you don't get anything less than 0.45mm. But I personally never get anything less than 0.55mm.

@Lastpage, Hajj, EgunMogaji, n3xt, abdulwastecx Thanks for your comments. I have narrowed down to Steptiles or Metcoppo because of the beauty. Pls what's the difference between the two (Steptiles and Metcoppo) because they look similar to me. And what're your recommendations on where to buy? Tower, First Aluminium or the imported ones? To avoid been sold a different thickness, can I buy directly from the companies or do I have to go through a distributor? Appreciate your comments. Thanks in advance. lastpage: I am sure this question has been dealt with sometime in the past but cant lay my finger on the post.
For me, l like the extra beauty of the Alu-Steptiles. I know Hajj M used Metcoppo, maybe for cost or/and strength? Longspan appears too boring on roofs, for me.... but some people like just the simplicity, and it is cheaper!
And please, go and buy a Digital Caliper like my own, so you can measure the exact thickness of what they will sell to you. Imagine 0.65mm becoming o.45mm when measured?
Let us pass this one to Hajj M. He is the "official Library and Encyclopaedia" of "Links to past Events".
Just hold on, l trust my Hajj to come up with something good.

@angelo82 Please where do I get e-dividend form? I just called customer service lines for both First Bank and GTBank, and quite surprisingly they don't have a clue on new e-dividend portal registration (E-DMMS) angelo82: You will fill the e-dividend form and scan it to your bank and let them know that you are not in the country but for United Securities BVN is mandatory.Tell your bank to upload the form on the New NIBSS e-dividend platform and to confirm it to you when is done. But before upload your bank must stamp the form and sign. Then you can request for a stamped/signed copy, forward it to united securities via email and inform them to confirm the form upload on the new e-dividend platform. Then in a fews days it will be done and they will confirm it to you, after which you will request payment of outstanding dividends. But you should scan the document clearly in colored with your picture attached. |
