And then he said he has every reason to grant me the visa and I was told to pick up my visa in 1-2 weeks.

Please, How soon did you guys get your visas after the interview cos I need to buy the ticket ASAP.

Also my medical report was not returned is that OK?

Congrats on your interview!

It's much better you buy your ticket once you have your Visa & Passport in hand.

Just like the CO said, it can take btw 1-2 weeks to get your Passport back.

Which of your documents were returned back to you? I hope the DS-3025 is included? Because you will still need that, when you are processing your Adjustment of Status.

My fiancé filed for K1 visa and has received the approval on 30th of August, meanwhile in the approval it is stated that the petition has been forwarded to Nigeria consulate but I haven't received any mail.. Am guessing it's still in NVC. Please what should I do? Wait? Call them?

Tell your Fiance to call the NVC and confirm if it has been sent and when it was sent to the American Consulate in Nigeria.

You will need to go to the NPC office and get the current price. Unless someone else here has more info on it.

Got there around past 8 and met so many people there already. Just 2 or 3 people came after me.

BTW, can anyone confirm this, the lady I met at the clinic said I don't need the appointment printout and I only needed the letter sent from the nvc with my case number

Yes, you can do your medicals with the letter from NVC, which has been confirmed by the lady at the clinic.

You don't need a Priority Date for I-485.

K-1 doesn't have any Priority Date, unlike some other types of Visa categories.

Yes, you can take your old passport if you wish.

You don't need a spinsterhood certificate for your interview. All the other evidences you have, should be enough proof to show that you are not yet married.

Also refer to https://www.uscis.gov/i-485 for more info and the Instruction Manual. In the same manner, you can type the other Forms in Google, which will lead you to the other Government websites, where you will download & print out all the Application Forms.

You don't need to do a new medical exam. You only need to submit a copy of your DS-3025.

You can also use the same Affidavit of Support docs, especially if the financial circumstances of your partner hasn't changed, since you did your K-1 process.

For K-1 Visa, you don't need a Priority Date. You can ignore that part.

My man is planning to come to Nigeria in October. Please, how is he going to secure a Nigerian visa from g Tallahassee, Florida. How much is he expected to have on him and in his bank account ? Can the visa be gotten on arrival and if no what’s the steps in getting the visa? Thanks for all the help

Tell him to contact the Nigerian Embassy closest to him and apply for a Tourist/Visiting Visa ASAP. See below for list of required docs:

DOCUMENTS FOR TOURIST VISA

Current passport (with at least 6 months validity)
Completed visa application form
Confirmation of online payment
2 passport size pictures
Letter of invitation from Host accepting full immigration responsibility
Data page of Host passport,
Confirmed hotel reservation, if the applicant is not staying with Host
Valid return airline ticket.
Evidence of funds to cover stay in Nigeria (letter from bank etc.)
Holders of non–U.S passports must provide proof of legal residency (photocopy of Green Card).

Please for someone who has bachelor's degree in Nigeria will having a master's degree in US compensate for it in terms of job opportunities or its better to start afresh from undergraduate level at 28 years cc Bossman

Getting a Master's degree is a good step to take. Taking another Bachelor's degree depends on what your preferences are and if you can afford it.

Time is also of the essence, so make the right decision.

Good day everyone, Is there a safe within the US Consulate where valuables and mobile devices can be stored since these things are not allowed within the premises.

I doubt that. U need to go in only with the documents you are required to take in there.

Keep every other thing in your car or leave them at home.

Though it seems there might be one or two shops around there where you can keep your phone & stuff like that, for a fee.

My K1 visa was approved on the 3rd of July,though I collapsed during the interview process from exhaustion and low blood sugar issues because I was on a 3 days mid year fast and had not slept for up to 5hours in 2days.God showed me mercy and it went well. My fiancee and I will get married come 24th in Texas. The wedding is a big one,we have spent over $18k preparing for it since November 2018.Expecting friends and family from Europe and Australia and Africa.
I flew into DFW through Frankfurt from Abuja on the 9th and 10th. POE was smooth,normal secondary processing and agric section checks. Had to fly to Lagos twice,one for the interview and the visa collection.
My candid advise to us all intending to apply is to ensure that your intentions are genuine because God won't bless a lie except you are trusting in something else to pull you through.
My appreciation goes to God and those who make this forum lively eg. @legitbachelor and others.
Mine was a miracle because I tot by collapsing during the interview I would be put on enquiry and further drilled and denied.Infact I was wheeled out of the embassy with the option of an ambulance but I declined and choose to speak with my doctor instead.
My visa pickup letter was given to me by the head of the Consulate himself,he cracked jokes with me while I laid on the floor receiving attention from the nurses and doctors.It was a miracle cos many where denied that day.
Be careful not to lie because they do background checks.They sent someone to check my address to see if it was real.
Also it is important to know that the embassy people read through forums too so if you have something sinister to write pls swallow it.
If you stay around the Dallas Fort Worth area and would be free to attend my wedding do hit me up and get an RSVP ASAP.
