richidinho:Which edo state? Edo no be Lagos neither is Edo Anambra |
emmyN:When did he join the opposition? This is his 3rd year in a two term. Why didn't he do anything in the four years that he was with the ruling party? |
Obaseki was part of the same oshiomole government. For seven years in the administration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, his predecessor, he served as voluntary Chairman of the Edo State Economic and Strategy Team as well as Chairman of Tax Assessment Review Committee for Edo State Internal Revenue Service (TARC) and the Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises uote author=kokorokoman post=124607678] normally I am not supposed to answer because I see illiteracy and ignorance wrapping your comment but I just have to for clarification purpose. Can you mention the many roads obaseki has started and completed in seven years? Oshiomhole never borrowed 30 billion for the project, but it was a 30 billion project that was supposed to be financed and done in batches. The useless obaseki came and said the project was riddled with curroption and will investigate it. But today no investigation and we have heard nothing about the project again. And lastly, that obaseki didn't want to borrow is just the most foolish statement I have heard this year. Do you know that within the first three years of obaseki govt he had already borrowed times two of the total debt the three previous govt left? Go verify this and if it's a false I owe you a million naira. Foolish people everywhere defending nonsense online. Mumu.
|
kokorokoman:Grins Let me try and help him out Ekehuan road Tenboga road Arbor road Sapele road Ovia Bridge Evboriaria road Roads that local governments will.do the state has hijacked. Meanwhile no local government election for years now in Edo state. Tax is collected from motorist that ply the roads but when it comes to.fixing the road is now federal |
nairamaniac:The roads are majorly disposable roads, give most of the rods six months and the rest is history |
[God bless ypu, na sos MOU we dey hear quote author=kokorokoman post=124597946]I am from edo state and I will say edo state cannot be compared to any state in South South or South West in terms of roads. The only good road in edo were the ones done by the previous govts. This obaseki is a curse to not only edo state but to the Nigerian political space. Never in my life have I seen anything as useless as this man, just come to Benin and see for yourself. Edolites are busy building houses but there's no single road to connect them. Everyday he will just come on air and start speaking Grammer, "industrial clauses" and nonsense Grammer. This man is a big punishment to us here in Benin.
|
[You must look for.a.way to.come in with politics, the same road i mean sapele road that was blocked for close to.a week that the same governor promised to do.something about but failed. Don't come with that federal road bullshit,do the state tax collectors not collect tax o vehicles that ply that road quote? Which ugbowo and agbor roads are in good shape? This is his 7th year Ekehuan road is still uncompleted quote author=Osariemen1post=124597757] Same Sapele Road Oshomole and Obaseki worked on. Let's be honest, the possibility of flooding during and after rainfall in Benin City is high, and it doesn't start today. From Ugbowo to Agbo Road, Uselu to Aduwawa, Tv Road to Textile Mill Road, Ekehuan Road to Okhoro. And these roads are in good shapes, by Nigeria's standards. We experienced same thing during Oshiomole and I don't think the next governor can do anything about it. What I won't permit is someone living in the dirty waters of Ogbomosho or Udi to malign my hardworking governor because we rejected APC at the polls in 2020. Yes, Edo no be Lagos, the slum headquarters of West Africa. .
|

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu presented the Certificate of Return to Tinubu in Abuja on Wednesday, having won at the polls with 8.8 million votes. Meanwhile, the main opposition candidates Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, secured 6.9 million and 6.1 million votes, respectively. The United States The United States, through its State Department spokesman Ned Price congratulated Nigeria and Tinubu, yesterday. "The United States congratulates the people of Nigeria, president-elect Tinubu and all the political leaders," Price said. "This competitive election represents a new period for Nigerian politics and democracy," he added. Price acknowledged the dissatisfaction among some Nigerians over the validity of the results, but called on the largest African country to embrace peace. "We understand that many Nigerians and some of the parties have expressed frustration about the manner in which the process was conducted," he said. "Nigerians are clearly within their rights to have such concerns and should have high expectations for their electoral process," Price said, urging political leaders to register their concerns through established legal "mechanisms." "We call on all parties to refrain from violence or inflammatory rhetoric at this critical time," Price added. The United Kingdom Also, the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, yesterday, congratulated Tinubu on election victory via Twitter. "Congratulations to Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory in Nigeria," Sunak tweeted Wednesday. Sunak affirmed that, "The UK-Nigeria relationship remains strong. I look forward to working together to grow our security and trade ties, opening up opportunities for businesses and creating prosperity in both our countries." France In the same vein, President Emmanuel Macron of France congratulated the former Lagos state governor on his victory at the polls. Tinubu made this known while fielding questions from journalists after the presentation of his Certificate of Return. He said he has received many congratulatory messages within and outside Nigeria, mentioning French President as one of them. "Oh very many, many of that, in fact as far as Europe, the stock market reacted positively well, there was a goodwill message from Macron, the President of France," Tinubu said. |

I am 100 percent sure it's the video and I have had to correct this misconception in several forums The video is from the recently concluded joint south Korea, Japan and US military exercises and shows the US carrier task force group in parade formation. There's indeed a B1 Lancer long range strategic bomber leading the formation of the air wing parade. Closely escorting the B1 are F35C fighters. The civilian looking aircraft in the 2nd wave that could be mistaken for the speaker's aircraft is an AWACs from the carrier airwing escorted by F15C fighting eagle fighters Note that there are 2nos aircraft carriers in the video, the only dual deployment of carrier groups in the past 12 months in the joint exercises mentioned above. Normally, carrier task force groups have thousands of miles separating them as their geographic AORs are widely dispersed. 2ndly, in standard "alert" formation or combat stations, the surface ships of a carrier group can be dispersed well over 30-40km, the subsurface craft well in excess of 70km ahead of behind on flanking patrols and the CAG or combat air group would be flying 24/7 CAPs or combat air patrols in rotations of 4 fighters and 1 AWACs airborne and covering a 300km radius of control around the carrier group Take note that the journey of her flight wasn't telivised until the plane landed squote author=VEHINTOLAR post=115431086] How did you know that it was the video you're talking about here that I watched ?
|
VEHINTOLAR:That video you watched was misleading. It was from a joint military operation with US and Japan |
