Yeah guys, Customer service at UBA is quite annoying. There are always long queues et al. Also their charges are crazy even while i was serving, STB deducted something from my paltry allowee. On the other hand, UBAs stock price is making me happy |
Business / Re: Lagos Imposes Levy On Generator Owners! by senetee(m): 2:46pm On May 31, 2007 |
But what is this again? Which individual or firm would want to run on generators if public power supply is available. Any kind of levy is not fair. Remember high costs of running gens raise product prices. Kai, what a country |

Travel / Re: The New Yorker Magazine Article On Lagos by senetee(m): 2:02pm On May 24, 2007 |
@Big B1 i salute you fro your seemingly genuine patriotism. Yes. lagos is rough, smelly, overcrowded and quite difficult to live in(lots of destitutes, beggars, crime, uncomfortable public transportation systems etc) presently BUT should we write it off completely and promote negative images and stories about our land? We must remain optimistic and help in our little ways to improve our city and image. Lets not forget, some of its societal and physical structures may just be downright ghetto presently but good things will happen. Remember it may take years to erect a skyscraper or destroy a clean and functioning city but only a bomb to destroy it i less than an hour(9/11 sounding familiar?) LAGOS must n will get better |
Music/Radio / Re: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by senetee(m): 3:55pm On May 23, 2007 |
Wow, tough choice 2 make between the two. Let me say nobody needs to tell me its Timi singing on the radio and can't say the same for Omawunmi even though it seems she has got ideas and remarkable stage performances. Timi can really work his voice and can be groomed to acceptable international image standards. So, I'll go with Timi. |

Career / Re: Access Bank: The Highest Paying Bank In Nigeria? by senetee(m): 11:55am On May 14, 2007 |
Hey, Hear the amount is really high on paper and much of the package is tied to performance but i wonder why people complain of plenty stress @ access. They must be shortstaffed and overstretched cause i also know someone who left access for a lower paying bank for those reasons. |
Romance / Re: What's The Foundation Of Your Relationship? by senetee(m): 2:12pm On May 08, 2007 |
True talk people, sex should be the essence of a relationship. Being true friends is a great way of fostering a long lasting relationship but that does not mean sex should be totally relegated to the an unimportant issue. We are still human. |
Autos / Re: Hit 300km/hr On 3rd Mainland Bridge With My Maxima, (check D Pic Out) by senetee(m): 4:01pm On Apr 03, 2007 |
Fake guy, how could that pic have been taken at that speed bearing in mind that the 3rd mainland is not a straight stretch. At what time of the day did he do that? Also, that pic aint that of a nissan. Looks like an ALPINA customized beemer. |
Career / Re: You Can Start With A Low Paying Job by senetee(m): 11:16am On Mar 20, 2007 |
Time waits for nobody. Idleness is a terrible thing especially for a young person. Also, how many vacant positions are actually out there for graduates? Even if there are, do the graduates have any practical and implemetable skills at the point of NYSC exit? Therefore if you cannot get into a high paying firm, PLEASE get something to do that will eventually help you get that cool job you need. So, there is nothing wrong and degrading with starting with a low paying job. |
Career / Re: Should I Accept This 25K Job? by senetee(m): 4:57pm On Mar 07, 2007 |
Guy, go for it. Firstly, would you rather sit at home doing nothing ? Secondly, EXPERIENCE is something you do not pick up in the bathroom, living room or anywhere in your compound. In my case, i started with a job that could not take me home and even at that job i was almost cheated on some allowances(change) by my former employer. However, in a year, without even applying for my current job, i was noticed and recommended and within two weeks i was holding a new letter of appointment after a test and two interviews. My last words are DO THE JOB WELL, KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN, INTERACT WITH AND IMPRESS PEOPLE AND AN EMPLOYER NEEDING YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL POACH YOU. All the best. |
Music/Radio / Re: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by senetee(m): 9:13am On Mar 01, 2007 |
Guys, the auditions in Ghana were really hilarious with those terrible attempts by the contestants. One even declined rendering the song ' I believe i can fly' while another believed she could 'fry'. By the way, it seems 'Greatest love of all' by Whitney Houston is the most auditioned song by female contestants Wow, generally idols is the number one programme for catching a good laugh after a stressful day. |
Romance / Re: Good Men Are All Around Us by senetee(m): 5:05pm On Feb 15, 2007 |
