I understand how that can be. I came in Oct 2020 and got a few jobs after resilience and strategic applications. My advise is for you to choose the kind of jobs you want. There are several industries and you cant keep shooting one CV to all. Also, you should consider using recruitment agencies in Ireland. They always have jobs; some might be far from your house location. Speaking of which, where you live in Ireland could also be a factor. Recruitment agencies like Noel Group, Staffline, Temple etc. If you can be on their data base they'd always send you jobs whenever they are available. Don't forget the level 5 lockdown has hit the economy and only a few companies operate right now. I hope this helps. Cheers. |

Yes. You can apply for another Msc. But you must not mention your 1st MSC when applying for visa. Also, You will have to find something else to fill up the time you spent doing the Msc because there can't be dormant years where you didn't do anything. OmichaelO: 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello folks I submitted my application at VFS Lagos today and I think there are pieces information y’all need to have: -2 COLORED photocopies of all your documents (Bank Statement included qnd 32 pages of all international passports) Trust me I paid hugely for this negligence by vfs website. This means your documents must be in 3 sets i.e Original of all and two different sets. You should make extra copy of your bio data page cos you'll definitely need it. Take extra cash... It's important Asides the 27k paid online to book you'll only pay 28950 at vfs. - Bring ATM card no cash allowed for payment (maybe cos of the way covid spreads) to pay the 28k. - Come early, that time on your appointment is scam. The earlier you go, the better. I sense there will crowd in coming weeks cos the capturing machine used by the Ireland desk is faulty and this makes each person to spend close to 30 minutes getting captured. Shalom. 8 Likes |

Who has seen this on Ireland embassy website? Update 26 June 2020. Summary: Irish VACs to reopen in Abuja and Accra on Monday, 29 June 2020. New appointment system in effect. Original documents must be submitted along with a colour copy of all application documents. If you don’t bring the colour copy, then there will be a facility to make a colour copy at the VAC for a nominal fee. Only long-stay visas ('D' categories) will be processed initially. Short-stay Visas ('C' categories) will not be processed due to ongoing restrictions in Ireland. Certain Priority/Emergency cases will continue to be processed as normal. Those travelling will be expected to serve a 14 day period of self-isolation upon arrival to Ireland. The Irish Embassy is pleased to announce the reopening of the Visa Application Centres (VACs) in Abuja and Accra on Monday, 29 June 2020. This is the first stage of a plan to resume full services in the coming months on a phased basis - subject to Irish Government Covid-19 measures and any local restrictions that may be in place. The operation of these VACs will be carefully monitored by a range of stakeholders including VFS, Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) in Ireland and will be guided by public health advice set by the Irish Health Service Executive (HSE) and World Health Organisation (WHO). An appointment system has been introduced to assist with capacity and social distancing requirements. Initially, the VACs will only allow long-stay applications to be made ('D' categories – further info below). No tourism or short-stay visas ('C' categories) will be processed at this time due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions in Ireland. Please be assured that we fully intend to resume our full visa service just as soon as public health concerns have been abated in line with Irish Government policy. 2 Likes |

If anyone can provide a step by step for it, I will be glad. 2. My sponsor is in Germany, He has paid my full tuition and wants to do the Edubond, He is doing this because it is difficult to get 6 months bank statement and translate to English in that country. But he is willing to share his work contract, Employment letter and 3 months pay slip. Celebrities / Mayorkun’s “BOBO” Shouldn’t Have Featured Davido . . My Thoughts! by senitop(m): 10:37am On Apr 03, 2018 |
Since putting pen to the paper that now binds him to DMW, watching Mayorkun rise to stardom is like watching the rise of the Eastern sun. From the realm of depending heavily on promotions to get popularity for singles like Eleko and Sade to making records that get organic cheers and shouts like Mama did, Mayorkun’s knock on the door of super-stardom is becoming audible, the fans can hear it, the aspiring superstars are listening while the superstars at the other end of the door have their gaze fixed on it, knowing Mayorkun amongst other promising stars could walk through the door at any time. In 2017, he made the kind of move that separates one from the class of boys to make an appearance in the gathering of men – his run of hit releases qualified him to be considered one of most successful artistes of that year and he looks to continue the impressive run with the release of a new single titled ‘BOBO’, on which Davido appears as a guest artiste. Below is the review of the song and do remember to share your thoughts in the comment section. @ibironketweets The beauty of Mayorkun’s artistry is less in his vocals or the style of sound he works with but more in his prowess with lyrical composition. His word play game is so strong that he even outplays some Naija rappers in that regard. For a pop artist, it is a bit of surprise but it is teasing and enjoyable especially because Mayorkun delivers those lines in between nice melodies. I mean, how would one not like a line like “suit yourself like Jidenna?” While that is a pleasant surprise, the surprising input of Davido, gives the song a sour side especially because he undid all of Mayorkun’s brilliant word plays with lines like “I believe in water but I no be fisherman”, coupled with cliché lines like “she say she is a fan, she want to blow me.” Not that Mayorkun is stainless (he also said “butterfly na lababa” which is basic) but that only occurs sparsely in verses composed of thoughtful word plays. “Bobo” is another fine product of the ADM (pon pon) music sample which DMW stars seem to have monopolized and it has that secret spice of pop records – beautiful melodies. The DMW household have a reputation for making great videos and with this one, their reputation is added to – picture quality, interpretation of theme and theatrics, aced. Mayorkun is nearing that status of super-stardom with records like this one and indeed he would need support from his colleagues but not from Davido on a song like this. For ‘Bobo’, he should have done this alone. @dahnielz Being the flagship artiste under the DMW label, Mayorkun is starting his 2018 with a big bang! One thing that makes his sound to stand out, is how Mayorkun construct his lyrics, his word play game is always dope. Many would actually argue that Mayorkun has more ‘punch lines’ than some Nigerian hip-hop artistes. Lets talk about Davido though, originally I would assume he was not slated to be on this record but for some reasons best known to them, the singer was featured on it. Davido contributed little or nothing to this song, I feel we could have had more from Mayorkun on this song. All in all, BOBO is one of the few songs that will stay on my list, ‘cos for me, it is a HIT! Rating – 4/5 |
Celebrities / Is This How ‘big Artistes’ Are Killing The Album Culture In Nigeria? by senitop(m): 12:27pm On Mar 23, 2018 |
The buzz around Rendevous, MI’s latest album, is yet to subside as it has continued to garner rave reviews by major industry heads and condemnatory remarks by a few others. The 15-track project which includes collaborations with Cassper Nyovest, AKA, Ajebutter 22, Wande Coal, Terry Apala and many others, is a bold statement from the Chocolate City boss who has been under a lot of scrutiny since his Fix Up Your Life rant. That said, we could authoritatively assert that MI has thrown his hat into the ring with this body of work; which I can’t particularly say for a lot of artistes today due to the quality of albums we have been getting lately. The evolution of albums in Nigeria would show that we have had some great ones from the likes of King Sunny Ade who got nominated twice for the Grammys; first in 1983 for his album, Synchro System and in 1988 for his collection of songs, Odu. Fast forward to May 15, 2004 when 2Baba dropped his first solo album under the Kennis music imprint titled Face 2 Face. Who could forget songs like Nfana Ibaga, U No Holy Pass, Right Here, Ole and the evergreen African Queen; with production by the likes of the late OJB Jezreel? Another album within that period that shook the foundations of the Nigerian music scene was 9ice’s sophomore album, Gongo Aso with songs like Photocopy, Kind Life, Wedding Day, Street Credibility et al that catapulted the singer to international stardom. The genius of ID Cabasa on that album still remains indisputable. Today, the optimism to buy albums isn’t as it was a few years ago. And have you noticed that the quality of music from a lot of our “major” artistes dipped after their first or second albums? A lot of them sound monotonous, repetitious, void of depth and planning. You almost wonder what their A&R’s do. There’s also this craze for collaborations that almost makes the artiste seem insignificant as there is almost no track on his/her album with just them alone on it. Let’s not even mention the ones who sing R’n’B today, pop tomorrow, Fuji next tomorrow and are trapping the day after. Or is it the rappers who have becoming so comfortable singing with their terrible voices that you can’t really tell if their work is a pop, hip-hop or rap album? The music industry today is very singles-dominated so full bodies of work don’t come by so easily; but you would expect that when they do, they would be masterpieces…or at least close. However the reverse is the case. If you ever listened to Wande Coal’s Mushin 2 Mo’hits album, you would think the ebony-skinned artiste was singing from his mother’s womb because he was that good. However, I am not so sure I would want to purchase an album from him now, especially if it’s going to have Funke or Turkey Nla on it. No freaking way! Music is art. And as such, it should be meticulously and carefully done. Regardless of pressure from labels and other artistes, if you put proper time and energy into creating music, you could have one single whose relevance could span for months while the others drop their “indomie music” which usually fizzles out in weeks. Banky W is a proper analogy to exhibit how possible it is to stay relevant without necessarily dropping music hastily. And yeah, can we pay more attention to the music this year, please? Let’s leave all the “freestyling” and baby lyrics with 2017. It is a known fact that the music buying culture in these parts is not exactly great so artistes have to look to shows and endorsements for proper monetary reward; but we would get there eventually. Davido’s maturity in terms of instrumental selection, lyricism, consistency and delivery has blown me away. I am definitely looking forward to the next OBO album because I know it’s going to be pure fire! One can only hope the other artistes follow suit and do music right so when they put out albums, we would gladly support them by buying their music because we know we would be getting our money’s worth. Celebrities / “IRE” Will Adekunle Gold Bring Home Nigeria’s First Grammy Award? by senitop(m): 11:05am On Mar 19, 2018 |
Even though he was discovered into a musical unit whose collective success could be majorly tied to the event of trends, he has excelled at managing a small niche that once wrestled hard to attain commercial status like the other genres polarized by the industry’s leading folks. With the release of ‘Ire‘, Adekunle Gold ascertains musical purpose from a firm grasp on the art form we now refer to as ‘Afro-Alternative’ which he appears to have settled comfortably into. The onus now rests heavily on this small community of creatives with ‘Kunle as the unofficially constituted honcho to further catalyze the commercialization of this unusual order of sounds from this side to the much relished other side. Read our thoughts on this! @dahnielz Oh Adekunle Gold! the talent disposition in this man is just too much. While many of us still crack our brains to fix a genre for his kind of music, we can’t help but to let loose our amazement of his delivery on IRE. Several times in the Nigerian music industry, we give unnecessary hype to songs that shouldn’t have made it out of the studio room, that we forget the ones that deserves daily airplays for years, if not centuries to come. The use of the ‘Ilaje’ choir on this sonorous tune is probably the best music idea I have witnessed in a long time. Ire is spiritual, it cuts across religion or ethnicity. It is the kind of music that reminds us that all hope is not lost for a Nigerian artiste to clinch the Grammy Awards… Yes I said it, the Grammys. Right now the only thing I’m looking forward to, is the amount of good music Adekunle Gold will bless us with when the ‘About 30’ drops. Rating: 5 @jimancipation I do not think there is any song in very recent time that speaks the kind of sincerity, communicates this order of truth, entreats the message of hope, showing the depth of heart and revealing the rawness of soul, like Adekunle Gold’s “Ire”. This, in my opinion, is the sole essence of music. Music that one can never get tired listening to. Music that is exceptionally beautiful in its assemblage of parts – from the dynamism employed in laying the vocals – to the formation of harmonies on the backups – the blend of percussion instruments in effortless audible sync with the strings, and of course engaging innuendos that structured the song lyrics. “Ire” has the absence of the usual story-telling device, which has become especially synonymous with ‘Kunle and his sonorous concocts. I feel like it speaks to his talent versatility in creating relevance and giving value to whatever he decides. It is so original that it reaffirms my belief in this new generation of impacting sounds, Africa needs to do better in promoting in order to gain proper recognition and appreciation for music that comes from a deeply and culturally rooted source (people). What result speaks better of a fail-proof theorem in simplistic simplicity that quells down concepts about creative sophistication than a song of this nature? If rappers, country-rock musicians and seasoned R&B singers are finding reason to apply themselves on this Afro-fusion goodness, then you know the ante definitely has been upped this time. Lest I forget, watchout for Seyikeyz! Rating: 4.5 Source : http://tooxclusive.com/content/ire-will-adekunle-gold-bring-home-nigerias-first-grammy-award/ |
Celebrities / 5 Most Inspiring Nigerian Artistes by senitop(m): 10:52am On Mar 12, 2018 |
‘Any work of art which is not a beginning, an invention or a discovery, is of little worth’ – This is how I view every song, every painting, every writing, every speech and every artiste. I do not listen to artistes who do not inspire me. I feel like they take from me and give me nothing. That’s why I always recommend that people listen to artistes whose lives are inspiring and those whose music, inspiration can be drawn from. Everyone needs as much inspiration as one can get, to course through life. We need to feed off positive energies and channel these energies into our passion and drive to achieve success. So where do we get these energies and inspiration from – from music, from art, from artistes, from friends and more. I want to look at my favourite artiste, listen to his music, and be inspired. I want to look at his/her life and achievements and be moved to do same in my life. I expect you to do the same. So I decided to draw up a list of 5 inspiring Nigerian artistes: Olamide From the streets of Bariga, he rose to prominence, hurdling over challenges and rising above the struggles to catch his date with destiny. Olamide’s success story has become a lore told to every ghetto kid aspiring to make something out of life. Millions of young boys have found hope in his story. This belief has taken a central position in his artistry and his music feeds the streets with hope. Songs like Hustle Loyalty Respect, Anifowose, Eleda Mi, Letter To Milli are some of his most inspiring materials. M.I Abaga Music is a powerful tool. Hip-hop is a boundless source of inspiration even though it is often seen to promote violence and social vices. It is a tool that can be used depending on the handler, and for 10 years now, M.I Abaga has used his gift to inspire people. He has been a beacon of hope, brilliance and a role model to many. I felt particularly inspired when I heard his line, “tell me what it costs to be great, I’d pay the whole bill.” It planted a seed in me that made me believe that if I’m willing to sacrifice, I can be great. M.I makes this list because of lyrical contents like that. He has also played a role in the success of people like Wizkid, Ice Prince and co. which should count as testaments to his inspirational character. Banky W “I connected to the spirit and mentality of what he was saying and it inspired me to go out and conquer my life.” Banky W stressed the importance of listening to inspiring artistes when he said this about Jay-Z. Interestingly, Banky has been able to infuse inspiring elements in his artistry, and his lifestyle remains a model for people to learn from. He has managed to overcome setbacks to live a life full of wins which mostly can be attributed to his versatility in music, acting, film making and event anchoring. He sets a perfect example for aspiring young men on how to enjoy a successful business and romance life. 2Baba He is called the father of many nations for his history with women and making babies, but beyond that, 2Baba has inspired a younger generation of Nigerian creatives with his achievements and the content of his music which carries a lot of social conscious themes and soul-lifting messages. When you talk of 2Baba, you remember his grass to grace story and it helps you believe that anything is possible. Cobhams Asuquo How he plays music instruments and how he turns the sounds into quality music even without sight, is a thing to marvel at. People think he is the one with disability but he sees himself as a man full of abilities and that’s how his mind is set, that’s how he trained himself, according to a friend of mine. Cobhams is one of the leading producers in the country with a penchant for making inspirational and soul-touching music and he has managed to do this without the privilege of having a functional eyesight. He is the Nigerian Stevie Wonder and if you’re thinking it is impossible to achieve certain things when you’re faced with challenges, the life and art of Cobhams should inspire you and help you faith hope. Celebrities / Lil Kesh’s New Single “apa Mi”. Hit Or Miss? by senitop(m): 10:05am On Mar 12, 2018 |
Lil Kesh peaked as an artiste during his days in YBNL, under the watchful eye of Olamide who introduced him to the niche of street-based audience which welcomed him as prince while Olamide remains King. Even after gaining his freedom after the completion of his apprenticeship at YBNL, Lil Kesh continued to make music for the streets even though he struggled to maintain the high standards of his YBNL days during which he was earmarked for as future leader. Leaving behind the relatively lukewarm 2017 which was far from his best music years, Lil Kesh looks to shake off the laden of fear and doubts in a mission of resurface from having been lost in the dark hole. He stretches his hands, offering a new song titled ‘Apa Mi’, to his audience with the hope that it would be accepted like his biggest releases under YBNL were. TooXclusive team members reviewed Lil Kesh’s ‘Apa Mi’ and here’s what we think of it: @ibironketweets In about 4 minutes of play, Lil Kesh’s ‘Apa Mi’ succeeds in stimulating dance moves commonly seen in mainland parties, with the groovy instrumental supplied by rising producer named, Princeton. Lil Kesh however leads me as a listener hoping for something of substance, near the point of being bored to death – irregular rhymes, repetitive words and unnecessary pauses that plagued what sounds like an almost catchy tune. And much of the interesting features of the song can be traced to the application of Yoruba nursery rhymes which aced as the much-needed flair for ‘Apa Mi’ to be considered a club-friendly song. @therealmarcusbrown Lil Kesh seemed to be one of those few talents who would grow on to be the dream of the Nigerian music industry but of late, it seems like the singer might have fallen off that radar because he hasn’t churned out anything outstanding in the past few months. Is Lil Kesh possibly on his way to redeeming that feat? Well, ‘Apa Mi’ is that record which ought to put the rapper on track but unfortunately, the record is just one that is below par as the rapper cum singer tries his best to flow with the Shaku Shaku wave. Talking about the production, Princeton just does the regular up-tempo beat for the dance floors. Hopefully, in the nearest future, Lil Kesh might come out with something more tangible. But if you are just here to dance, ‘Apa Mi’ is that average dance track for you. In the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, we hope we find his footprints on the sands of time. Celebrities / Kiss Daniel/yung6ix/burna Boy – Other ‘bad Boys’ Making Good Music? by senitop(m): 11:56am On Mar 07, 2018 |
It is no secret that creative or talented people turn out to be some of the most rebellious and troublesome people you would ever meet. They question what has come to be status quo and because of their usually unorthodox sense of genius, they feel things could be done differently from the way they are. In entertainment, there is almost no such thing as bad press or negative publicity depending on how one plays their cards. The likes of Kim Kardashian, Bob Risky and many other “celebrities” have shown us time and again that it’s not the amount of insults you get that counts, it is how you deploy it to your advantage. However, there are a few times when being at the wrong place at the wrong time or letting bad habits go unchecked could slow an artiste down or even spell doom for their careers. I picked these three guys because I never fancied them or their music. But recently they have given me reason to have a change of heart. Do keep in mind that they are not the only people who fall into this category but even you go tire for me if I begin write plenty so here goes. The Flyboy Inc headliner has that fine bad boy persona which made him a favourite among the ladies. I remember always stating my indifference about Kiss Daniel’s talent and prospect on radio countless times to the annoyance of loads of listeners; but then songs like Sofa, Yeba, No Do and most recently 4Dayz have made me eat humble pie and take back my words. Alas!, his recent and unresolved (to the best of my knowledge) contract brouhaha with his former label, G-Worldwide, has caused him to lose not just a number of fans, but also gigs and possibly endorsements even though he seems to have weathered that storm now. The self-acclaimed King of the South or Swaggerlomo as he is called by his peers and diehard fans has had his immense talent and lyrical dexterity largely unappreciated. This goes beyond his inability to score that seemingly elusive hit record, Yung6ix has been embroiled in his own fair share of controversy over the past few months. From his perceived egotistical nature, to his rumoured link with a notorious cult group because of an Instagram post he made, not to mention him allegedly splashing out millions of Naira on booze at a Lagos nightclub; and who could forget the frenzy that ensued when comedian, Akpororo, made fun of him at a show late last year. Thankfully, the rapper who hails from Delta State has not let that get to him as he keeps releasing music to the delight of his fans.
