Oluwatola5: This ideology of yours will change when you get to meet some first class students who know next to nothing. First class is different from first class oo. There are some first class with a difference. Maybe when you get to the labour market, then will you know that some first class students are no where near that one bit.
Pls help me to highlight him, i think u understand me better.

Change ur orientation dude, dat u cum 1st in a competition doesn't make u knowledgeable nw, infact itz neva a true test of knowledge, mayb u shud ask ben carson or beta stil watch 3 Idiots. Study to get accomplished nt to get affluent dude, infact d labour market doesn't nid d name of ur skul, it needs ur 1st class or jawe. Even if itz a P-skul, 1st class na 1st class
U WILL UNDERSTAND WAT I MEANT BY COMPETITION WEN U FIND URSELF AMIST OF GENIUSES ON CAMPUS.

Education › Re: Private Or Public School. Which Is Better? by Sent4rina: 1:45am On Sep 19, 2013
Theblessed: It's not much about Private or Public Education - it's about the 'Child's ability to learn and the Family Values' that enforces that learning. After all, all schools follow similar curriculum set by the state education system as it is, in the West and I ask - what's the difference?

I can not vouch for other education system especially, those in the 3rd World as people do what they like, there - there's no effective regulation to monitor and guide things.

Well, let's not detract from the point again, children will learn when they are ready to learn and by nature, humans learn from experiences in their life's journey but how could a child make an effort to learn in school when parents are prepared to cover the cracks in their learning and education?

With parents as this, providing children with false-hope - would they ever bother to learn? Of course, not!

Imagine parents, instilling in their children the belief that, it is normal to gain access to anything in life through deceit and lies. I am s o r r y !!!!

Is this the kind of example, parents should set for their children?

This kind of behaviour not only exposes their family values, but also queries how the parents themselves gained their own education and the authenticity of their qualifications/current positions.

And these parents, do they actually believe in hard work, one would ask?

It does not seem so - if one should begin to trace their trail he/she would come out with a lot of worms in the tin. I would assume, a family whose foundation is built on fraud that, emanated not from this present generation but from their great-grandad - too bad!

Finally, sending a child to Private or Public school as we know it in the West - in my view, is a waste of money and the only benefit I could see is, children being exposed to 'Influential connections or contacts' that could help them in life, and this can also be gained at the University level anyway, for example, where did Kate meet William? Was it not at the University in Scotland, abi?

Also, in this day and age - the social media is very handy in connecting people so, what's the big deal?

Galfrnd u hav said it all. Education is not all about money but abikity to aquire knowledge.
My take on dis matter is , public skuls rules in all ramification.

dr fred: Congratulations to all jambites dat wrote yestaday oau post-utme and expecially those candidate that score about 200. A word of advice for you all, once u have made 200 or above in the post-utme, start your addmission process immediately, start pulling your leg/legs toward your addmission in the school, mind you, that you score 200 or above doesnt mean u will be addmitted, oau no be beans o, and also you are the one seeking oau, oau is nt seeking for anybody...
If you need help or info about/in getting addmitted into the sch u may contact this number 08182134559, and let me add this to it also, we all know sch tinz is nt easy especially talking about addmission is not free like that, cause there some route it must follow.
Once again congrats to you all.
Ignore dis message pls.. To all aspirants of our "Great Ife" u needs not knw anybody b4 u get admitted once u meet cut-off mark of ur respectives dept. So, pls dont be deceived by anybody abt d admission runz. OAU is known for her merit and nothing else.. I wish u gud luck.

@op actually, wen dia is life, dia is hope. Its cause an adhoc dan normal wen some1 reads rigorosly, & got marks below his/her expectation.. I think all u need do is to stick to those listed techniques.. Believe me or not, its only diligent, commitment wif God intervention dat can make u end up wif First class... Anyway, i wish u best from God.
