Sorry, I don't really know where to post this.
Am in the east. I want to buy a MODEM but in a fix as to the following:
1. whether to buy an already programmed(ie customized to one network) Modem or the Universal Modem.
2. which network is the fastest.
3. which network's data bundles is the best. (anyway, this one is subject to the no 2 above).
4. All things being equal and put into consideration, which network gives you the best value for your money.
Kindly also include any other important thing you think a novice like me should know.

Well above 30,000 registered for the post ume examination, and they jostle to fill just 4000 spaces. what am trying to tell you is that, a score that would warrant your admission last year may not be the same this year as a result of the increased competition, the scores are definitely not going to drop, it could only be raised higher. cheers!

Inasmuch as 'more' is used in the comparative, it is never used with some, usually bisyllabic adjectives, as it sounds awkward.
Maybe there has been slight mutation, just like it was with 'Everyone one must pay HIS/HER money' and
Everyone must pay THEIR money.
And mind you that no one is an arbiter of knowledge.
Nevertheless, the whole shebang has been somewhat illuminating.

There it has 'hungrier' in the comparative and 'hungriest' in the superlative.
Would you also say more small or more smallest instead of just smaller or smallet, just like hungrier and hungriest?

You can't have 'more richer or more wealthier'. You can't have more with an adjective in a comparative form.

But, you can say MORE TOUGH. Here, "tough" is NOT in a comparative form.

After all these white papers, calling of answers to the students, high malpractices and what have you, it yet brought a dismal picture.
Methinks this year's exam was flunked not largely by the students but their teachers and mercenaries. Because, if most of the exams answers were written by the teachers and mercenaries, it then means that they must have written gibberish as evidenced by the colossal failure.
One at the cyber cafe the other day was praising himself and luxuriating in the fact that he wrote the whole thing immediately and circulated it in the hall.
I dare even say, that the slight improvement might have been occasioned by WAEC's leniency in marking or the hue and cry about the derelict state of our Education Sector.

Also, this isn't a direct comparison. You are not comparing the test to last year's, for example. You are just frustrated because of the haphazard conduct of the exercise/organizers.


"Much tougher" suggests a comparison.

You can say, for example: The exam was much tougher than I had expected.
