Raxxye:work 'had' or work 'hard'. You see? hardbody:quote author=76Naira link=topic=853498.msg10038821#msg10038821 date=1327428149] I agree with some things you have said, but do you know that even in developed countries, the society still has its own way of placing people according to their worth? Do you also know that where you study, what you study and to what extent you study play some role in how you perform as well as in how you are valued? Please do take a few minutes to review what you wrote. Regardless of your field of interest, being able to communicate effectively would always leave you better placed. I am surprised you are in IFE.

Our pedantic pedagogues, usually in a desperate bid to gratify their futile ego, never cease to point out other people's gaffe and peccadillo, even when such is superfluosly unnecessary. The worst is that sometimes, in pursuance of this, they ignore their own faux pax. One even had the temerity to ask whether the poster attended secondary school at all. Such brazen act of imropriety and discourtesy should be frowned on. Corrections are best made in such a way that they be constructive and don't denigrate the person to whom they are directed. |
Thanks for the timely answers. First off, let me dispel the notion that everything is now 'runs'. I can authoritatively tell you that the majority of people in every school got their admission on merit. At least I can vouch that schools like UNN maintain 95 or more percent of transparency in giving admissions. Okay? The fact that you have business in Lagos has limited your options of choosing from schools other than UNILAG and LASU. This is understandable but has also increased the odds against you. I mean, the case would have been different if you had many schools to choose from. For instance, statistically UNILAG is the most competitive or sought after Federal varsity, while LASU is arguably the most competitive state varsity in the country; coupled with your choice of course which is also quite competitive. Another snag is the fact that EDO is not in UNILAG's catchment areas. What these portend is that your possibility of gaining admission in the above schools is not quite enormous. So without skirting about, I would suggest that you make proper consultations as regards this so that you don't keep on repeating JAMB. I also consider as immaterial the fact that you have been trying to gain admission since 2006. And given that admission matter is omnibus it may not be your fault. There is hope. You can still make it. It's all about making proper calculations and working very hard and smart. And God will crown your efforts with success. Also check the modus operandi of each of these schools. Don't tarry to inform me should you have any question( not about UNILAG or LASU because I don't have much information about them). May the Lord guide you and grant your heart desires as you prepare for the future you do not see but believe in. Shalom, |
engr j:Okay, what about the other two questions? |
Answering the following questions may be pertinent for one to proffer apt counsel. And that's if you don't mind. *which course do you want to study? *what's your state of origin? *must you study only in the South West? I look forward to hearing from you. |
busar:This is unintelligible and indinstinct. Anything like summary in JAMB? Next time try to make your posts legible. |
Junk and futile journalism of this country is maddening. How and when has the strike, that was embarked upon in the early days of last december, reached 3 months? |
@Natasha, give me your email if you don't mind. I need to discuss with you. |
The abysmal situation of this country can leave one disconsolate and dejected. Your performance at the two exams is stellar and laudable. And the possibilty of your gaining admission with those scores is gigantic. Now having appraised the situation, methinks it would be in your best interest to also be preparing for this JAMB should this Yola stuff fail (very unlikely). Also be on the qui vive so that if nothing happens by this month's 25th, you go and purchase your JAMB form since registration closes february 2nd. This JAMB you may also not take should your name ultimately come out. Okay? May the Lord guide and grant your heart desires. Good luck! |

Yea, it's pellucid and irrefutable. And that anomaly is more manifest in Anambra. There is also no gainsaying the fact that South Eastern Governors have only counselled skin-deep and superfial approach to the protests. This they do ostensibly for their own self aggrandisement and monetary gains. Obi's statement at Awka and Orji's statement that workers should go back to work or forfeit their salaries lends credence to the foregone. Worthy of note also is that most Igbos are hedonistic and woudn't be part of anything not in sync with hedonism. |
Some who ought to have been the champions either for or against this fuel subsidy are conspicuously non-chalant and indifferent. I mean people like Oyedepo, Adeboye, Oyakhilome. Isn't this where to make manifest their much vaunted altruism and solicitude. |
The tidings are welcome. |
Those pontificating that it was a failure are nothing but paid and boot licking GEJ supporters. With solidarity we will succeed. |

It's rueful that this has come to stay. It's incontrovertible that they don't have our interest at heart. Also regrettable it is that our pitiable state in this '1914 mistake --Nigeria' has been exacerbated. NLC and other parastatals threatening a showdown with the government will be silenced ultimately. We make choices in life and have got to bear the consequences. We made an irredeemable, gross and a bad choice by voting and even rigging for a spineless woman -- Jonathan. We have indeed crossed the rubicon. This country can be abysmally frustrating. May the Lord have mercy upon our souls. |
Inasmuch as acts like this are not laudable, it brings to the fore the squalic and abysmal state we are left in, in this contraption called Nigeria. It's doleful. http://saharareporters.com/news-page/frustrated-nigerian-man-commits-“facebook”-suicide |
As a very ardent member of this site, I'm in a good position to speak on dire issues like this. It's indubitable that this site is dramatically becoming abysmally boring and tedious. The spate at which banal, nugatory and futile topics are created is heart- rending. This site loses (unaccountably) on daily basis it's mirth and flavour. More infernal is the fact that the majority of these worthless topics finally make it to the home page. It's nauseating and discouraging. I'm hacked off and completely fagged out about the whole she-bang. The earlier we curtail this unsightly trend the better for us all. |
The story of our journalists is nothing but bunkum and gibberish. How could they have penned such a canard? Boko Haram dare not bomb anywhere in the East or West. They have not got the temerity and bravity. Of course they know the implications. So, away with the above spurious and misleading tidings. Balderdash! |
No man wants problems in his house. And birds of a feather flock together, hob-nob, and carouse. Many ladies walk these days scantily clad and expect to attract gentle men as partners. You will normally attract your kind of person as a partner. Many women coquet and flirt about, in the erroneous thinking that they are never seen. Those men that have flings with them in most of the cases later use and dump them. Why? They are no wife material. Or do you want them to bring a hooker under my roof? They are only good at the front seat of the car and that soft bed. Wife materials are easily spotted in whatever milieu they find themselves. Just be decorous, courteous and not unctuous. Decent in dressing. And God will grant your heart desires. |

After perpetuating this dastardly act, this DPO ultimately may go scot-free. It could have been anybody's sister. Honestly, I no longer have any vestige of hope in this contraption and error called Nigeria. It is maddening! http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/oct/22/national-22-10-2011-01.html |
This grim news hit me like thunderbolt. I mean, how could someone, that sucked his mother's bosom, have unleashed such reprehensible act on an innocent youth? It's revolting as it is callous. RIP Emmanuel! |
@Claremont, gosh! why the bulcrap, who told you that inner beauty is 'intelligence'? |
