PoliticsRe: How we can turn "Agbado" to our Next Crude Oil In Nigeria. (pics). by serenegroup(m): 11:59am On Mar 28, 2023
Iamdbull:
The purpose of this write is to share my idea on how we can tackle the 4 major issue of the nigerian with one stone. The issues include insecurity, food security, bad economy and unemployment.

Agbado in nigeria, is the local name of popular food crop Maize and it was popularized by the president-elect of the federal republic of Nigeria. This has come under criticism here and there and I am here to shed more light on the hidden wealth that can be derived from the food crop as a graduate of Agriculture.

First off I will start off by listing things that can be derived from Agbado:

1.Direct consumption
2.Feed for chicken and other livestock.
3.Corn flakes
4.Pop corn
5.Golden Morn
6.Pap
7.Starch
8.Flour
9.Cereals
10.Masa/Egb`o and many more.

The first step we can take as a country is to employ 50 million youths
The second step is procure 3600 tractors and give 100 each to each states.
Then the government should ensure 75% to 85% of forest and bushes[b] in Nigeria are cleared off, by doing this alone we have wiped out the hides out of Boko haram, Bandits, kidnappers and criminals in Nigeria and to some extent insecurity has been tackled.
Then we embark on mass plantation of “AGBADO” (or other crops)
While our “AGBADO” is growing, we start building companies for production of livestock feed, corn flakes, golden morn, starch, cereals etc.
While our “AGBADO” is ready and harvested we can give it out for free to old people to roast at the roadside and sell for a subsidized amount.
Then we distribute to various companies for their respective processing.
Then we give those feeds from feed mill freely to livestock farmers to support them.
Then the corn flakes, golden morn, pop corn made can be used to support the primary school feeding programs.
The rest can be exported and revenue generated.
And the list is endless.

I will love to get your feedback and opinion on this.

Note: This is not to solicit for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, just some thoughts from an hungry mind.
Not withstanding wishing our Agile president Elect a Beautiful Belated Birthday.
Yours Truly

Nairaland GeneralRe: How Pdp Committed Political Suicide by serenegroup(m): 11:35am On Feb 28, 2023
MikeofAfrica:
The 2023 election was characterized with violence and rigging. However even with that, the PDP would have easily won the election had the party not commit political suicide during and after her primary.

A repeat of the Atiku/ Obi ticket or an Obi/ Tambuwal ticket would have done the job for PDP. However while the leaders of PDP were eager to have Atiku as their candidate, they treated Obi as a politician with no political value.

When Obi discovered that PDP will give Atiku the ticket and are also eager to give the V.P ticket to either Okowa, Wike or Udom, he decided to leave the party. He rightly believes that PDP is undermining the SE. The party did nothing to persuade him to stay. Wike even insulted him on a live T.V programme.

With Obi out of the party and Atiku winning the primary, the issue of who will be the V.P to Atiku came up.

Obi and Wike were the most formidable southern politicians in PDP before Obi left . Hence naturally Wike should have gotten the V.P ticket but PDP was determined to commit suicide. The ticket was given to Okowa.

Atiku wanted a have a weak V.P like Osinbajo but he forgot he does not have the political value of Buhari in the north. Buhari would have clear the entire northern states .

A Wike as Atiku deputy would have ensure PDP won at least 4 states in SS. He would
frustrate the rigging machinary of APC. Wike would have also help Atiku to checkmate Obi's popularity in SE. He would provide fund and logistics to PDP in SE states.

PDP threw away the weapon of War called Wike and APC picked it up and used it to rig against PDP and Labour party.

Hence nobody should blame Peter Obi , the SE or the Obidients for the poor performance of PDP and the rigged victory of Tinubu. For 24 years, the SE worked for the PDP but the party refuses to appreciate the support of the people of SE.
You just echoed my thought on this election.

Just one out of a million. They have stripped this country bare but most Nigerians don't know. Most of these Asians you see are well trained professionals in geology, who know how to blend in like ordinary traders to dig for all sorts of minerals without serious licenses. Very painful to watch especially if you know what's going on. I have never seen a country so badly run like Nigeria. If you commit this kind of crime in China, you are facing the death penalty. But these guys come over here and do it and get away with it. They ship these stuffs through the ports with Nigerias highly corrupt Customs officials signing off on the "exports". They are all over the hinterland scanvaging for all sorts of solid minerals without authorisations.

Infact, Nigeria might be making more money from solid minerals exported from the country, than from Oil and gas.., just that the money made from this sector, goes to the pockets of foreigners and their governments! And look at where it even gets very tricky; if you think that these foreigners just walked into these areas alone, without the support of their home governments, you are kidding! These are well recruited and well trained professionals sent to Africa to help loot down the whole place, because they know that the governments here and bereft of ideas and highly corrupt. They know where to go, who to meet, who to bribe and how to transact all the financial aspects without trace because a government set up back home is directing the whole heist.. Nigeria is asleep. The whole thing is so painful to watch!
I perfectly understand all what you have said as i have witnessed this in the field several times

But this is a clarion call to all outriders, no one is indispensable, live your life jejely
I witnessed one trying to use his right leg to '' kick my vehicle from the road'' along Lugbe express road. It unfortunate that these outriders don't work with the consciousness that there is a razor-thin line between life and death.

I guess the reason why many people do not bother getting married on time because they can still enjoy almost all the privileges that are meant for married people only even without being married legally

About last week someone offered my friend a job of 25k per month, a graduate wey don even do nysc, the job was a tasking job, going from one shop to another to sell a particular product and the target for that product monthly was about 5000 pieces of it.
I told her to manage it till she sees another one, but on the other hand she really wants to quit and wait for another one.

Nigerian Jobs is all about connection, a good paying job.
Gone are the good old days, when they employ people based of their certificate, good grades and hard work. You will see an undergraduate telling you his or her dad owns one big company, even if they fail or pass, they tend to succeed in life more than the A students.
Thousands of unemployed graduate every single year. I don't even want to talk about ASUU and those writing Jamb.

A failed system indeed!

What a scary situation for the future of this country. That reminds me of what was going through my mind anytime I see the hundreds of corp members scattered around the NYSC camp those days during my Youth Service. Where will these talents work? Methinks, we as a country need to aggressively accelerate and encourage business building programs for young minds. The more businesses we have, the more extra hands will be needed, which will eventually translate into more employment
