There were simply better strikers. How many goals did he score with his limited opportunity 19 in 53 starts good but not good enough for Chelsea.

Tell me one striker or player that left the Bundesliga as an anonymous player that ripped the EPL or became outstanding. The pertinent core issue is not outstanding in the Bundesliga or even reserve player.

Then I will count the multitude if players who left English football to rip it in the Bundesliga.

Whereas i take your point that we didn't adequately replace Xavi nor Alves, Yet I'm of the opinion Xavi alone isn't the only reason we stopped playing the best football we got used to.

Lets not forget he had a floppy suarez for most of the season as the main striker(Suarez last scored a champions league goal last march against psg), Bottomline by next season if things don't change we can then call for his head but hitherto EV has done a fantastic job.

The first goal was a tap in. The second goal was a bicycle kick scored from inside the 18 yard box. A great goal no question, but we've seen better. The likes of Ibrah scored similar goals from about 30 meters aways, and Rooney, Olivier Giroud, and even Peter Crouch have scored better bicycle kick goals. Hence, I can't understand all the hype ... as if CR7 has suddenly done what no man has done before

I would like to see him take the ball from the middle of the pitch and go through 4-5 defenders like Messi and then finish with a goal, instead of always waiting inside the 18 yard box for a cheap tap in. That's what makes him a great player ... anybody can score a cheap tap in. O pari
