Exactly.. cos Simon has been menacing down the flank.
But you cannot expect opta to report that "Nobody has had more bullies(4) than Simon"

Simon the worst player on the pitch?

Omoh no use that site again
It's sofascore actually.
Moses has lost the most balls and missed the only big chance of the game plus all his 6 crosses didn't meet the target, sofascore deducts points for those.

Simon is in that line-up to double tag with zaidu against Salah.

I, however, do not like this formation. Like I said earlier, that midfield is too thin and would easily be overun. Simon and chukwueze playing as side midfielders will lose a lot of balls while trying to dribble and this would put unnecessary defensive pressure on Ndidi seeing as Aribo is not as combative.

This defensive pressure would have been absolved a little with Onyeka as the 3rd man in the midfield.

I pray Eguaveon's obsession with replicating the tactics of the '94 squad doesn't come back to bite him

anyway let's see how it goes
This midfield is too thin and will easily be overrun

It doesn't, but it definitely suggests it. Same way the Dennis case didn't prove any foul play but that didn't stop people from going all guns blazing, to criticize the hell out of Dennis.

But I don't expect that same energy now that Osimhen is involved.
We were here when Messi recovered from covid in less than 1week

If you nor knack your girl at a particular time, and she come meet you say she carry belle at that particular time, is that not ojoro?

Timing bro. Timing. Thats the big deal here.
Standard Covid-19 Isolation period is 2weeks, most people recover before then. Victor has been infected for 10days which is enough for recovery, matter of fact, this research places average recovery period to be between 5-36days.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2213398421000440

Also, considering the test was done in Nigeria by Nigerians, it makes foul play more difficult

I don't understand the thought process here, was osimhen never supposed to recover from COVID? How does the recovery prove foul play?

So because of criticism, you will tell the players the man taking them to the tournament is not their head coach. Better to go with all ammunition to win the competition than sabotaging it because of criticism.
You wouldn't be criticizing it for criticism sake would you? You'd criticize it because something would be fundamentally wrong with the decision hence why pinnick avoided it.

Has he won any trophy before even when he had the luxury of time to prepare a team not to talk of now that everything about the team preparation and Nff is in turmoil. Guy Eguavoen can not win a tea cup. Just lower your expectation and enjoy the Afcon. Serious team that desire the trophy are in camp and have a well detailed program in place and those not in camp already just exited a tournament a week ago.
This is seriously giving me 2013 vibes. It was on the former thread everybody was doubting keshi and his boys before the afcon. Not saying Eguavoen would win, just drawing parallel.

I don't think announcing Peseiro as coach is a good call at all. Few weeks to the AFCON? The guys should have gone to the AFCON with the mind set that if they play well for Eguavoen, he might retain the job and keep them in the team.

Now the players will go to the tournament with the mind set that Eguavoen is not their coach.

Pinnick is such a disaster. I wonder why some people come here to defend him.
Not even an issue of announcing, the whole appointment should have been done after the tournament. If you appoint him without making the announcement, it might backfire after the tournament cos imagine if Eguavoen wins the trophy then few days later a new coach is announced, you'll be the first person to criticize it.

Agreed.. But gatecrashing is different from selecting which games/ competition you want to play

Absolutely nonsense. As a winner, your main objective is to always win and you should do everything humanly posssible to win by any means necessary. If a player will improve your team, get him on board because history only remembers “winners”
I also agree that the squad should not be closed against those who did not contribute to qualification, especially if those players were not invited during the qualification phase. But you have to agree that this Victor Moses case is similar to Boateng of Ghana, and who is to say he wouldn't abandon us again after the world cup?

If rumours are true and Vic Mo is back, then all well and good. Its a damn good one.
We need experienced wingers with quality end- product and not second hand robbens with no end-product.

He is the only winger I trust will make something out of the ball when he is in the final third and not dribble aimlessly and go and chop bench in his club.

Vic No is a baller!!!
I always feel some type of way about these recalls, they hardly ever go as anticipated. From Ike uche's recall, obafemi martins' recall and we are still keeping our fingers crossed regarding ighalo's case.

We make these decisions mostly based on nostalgia. Even when moses was in the form of his life, the nostalgia in us was looking at an Osaze in Malaysia and was pushing for his recall.

If we are expecting Moses to give us his 2013 performance then we might be disappointed.

Yes if he was brilliant ahead of the likely world cup candidate in the league too.

Ronaldo was brilliant at the world cup even though they got kicked out in round 16 and dwarfed Modric in the league and champions league.

You are just extending a done debate.
Oh no! But it wasn't a debate. I was just helping you see the glaring hypocrisy and if you still haven't then maybe I can't help you.

You can't give Milito because he did not do well at the World cup.

It was clearly Sneijder. He did well at both. League winning treble and an amazing world cup.

Finito.
So why do you want us to give 2018 to a player who got booted out at the R16? As opposed to a finalist and golden ball winner?
