Please someone should clear my doubts. The Msc public health offered by NOUN, is it Academic or Professional certificate? I don't want to regret later.

How many months will it take to start and finish the Msc public health assuming you're very serious with it?

Okay you have finally gained admission? Congrats!

Go and read that story well.
She said someone advised her to change her course to Anatomy which she did. 288 average is very small for Medicine.
So JAMB didn't consider her for Medicine rather Anatomy.
She wasn't even the first 2 top scorers from her state.

After everything, ABU was right!
JAMB only asked ABU to consider her for Medicine since the case had raised a lot of dust.

NB:ABU was right simple!

©️2021
If the above is true then it was her fault.
But that merit of top 3 is a scheme to favour their peeps simple. It's either there's merit or nothing.
Education / Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by SESARS: 4:27pm On Jan 16, 2021
samuelpeters:

They will admit those 10 people from Oyo state.
But it is rare!
Why?
Because, we have Northerners that schooled in the South and are very sound like their counterparts in the South.
Most of these Northerners will apply to Universities in the North e.g. ABU. They will dominate and be among Top scorers for MERIT. They are still recognised as ELDs and catchment, So they have 100% chance. This is what I call UNDUE ADVANTAGE. When you see the admission List with almost all names being Northerners, you think they are Tribalistic. They are not; SOUND NORTHERNERS from South TOOK THE ADVANTAGE.

I had a northern friend that we all schooled here in Lagos. He applied for Medicine at UNILAG. He wasn't serious with his studies. Anytime I asked him, he would say "I'm from the North remember?" At last, he got that Medicine with 50 average. While some southerners with 70+ missed out. This is the UNDUE ADVANTAGE of the North. Where their state of origin covers them.

2ndly, Most Southerners prefer Schooling in the South. The best universities are in the South. So we will have less percentage going to the North.
Now, we have some SOUTHERNERS that grew up in the NORTH and Schooled there. They are not Academically Sound like their brothers in the South. when they Apply to any Northern University, The University still see them as EDUCATIONALLY ADVANTAGED thereby giving them only MERIT SLOT. Which they Mostly Miss. Then lose the admission and start shouting TRIBALISM!!
This is the DISADVANTAGE to ANY SOUTHERNER in the North. If they apply to any Southern University, that is even the Worst!
So they are always in a Dilemma.

What we should fight for is for FG to ban STATE OF ORIGIN and Introduce STATE OF RESIDENCE.
So that any Northerner that Schooled in the south, will be treated equal like a southerner and any southerner that schooled in the North should be treated equal like a Northerner. In that way everyone is happy.

Northern Universities are only using the loophole in that federal character Nonsense. They are not Tribalistic especially First List. It is strictly Monitored.

©️2021.
Can you explain why one miss Thomas was denied admission with 290 aggregate while abu's cut off was reportedly 250?
And for your information this directive from jamb as can be seen in the picture below was due to public outcry.
Baba no go de defend the scam that goes on in this country. Just pray whatever modalities these institutions use favour you.

Education / Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by SESARS: 8:34am On Jan 16, 2021
samuelpeters:

Hahahaha! cheesy
It is 99%(nothing is 100%)correct on paper and in real life.

The north has an advantage because they are ELDs.
Every university First batch is monitored strictly by JAMB before approval. But from 2nd batch,JAMB will just be uploading the list in their data base.

A SW/SE/SS person that apply for Medicine at ABU has only 45% chance of that admission. If he is not among the first 45 with the highest score, he has lost it.
This is not tribalism or whatever!
but a Northern person that applies to UNILAG,has a 65% chance which he will surely get. Because when UNILAG will start allocating slot for ELDs, he may be among the lucky ones from his state of origin.

The problem with the South is that; we too de go school. Which makes the competition so high.
So an Igbo person would rather apply to schools in the SE so that their chances will be high, same with SW and SS.

Only UI has all 36 states as her catchment area. Which means; those from SW has 80%, SE has 80% chance, SS has 80% while those from North has 100% chance to school in the same UI grin
North ehh...

When it comes to Merit/First batch/Primary list, the most important factor is YOUR STATE OF ORIGIN for Federal and LGA for state universities. Not your name or whatever. That is the rule!

From 2nd batch, state of origin/LGA, name, connections, money, begging and other things will now enter angry

So bro, this is how it is real life.
The game of admission starts from 2nd batch. 1st batch is always small so that they will have more space to do their runs from 2nd batch upwards.

©️2021.
I want to ask a simple question using ABU as an example.
If after putme and 10 students from Oyo state scored 80% aggregate, will ABU admit all 10 based on merit assuming their score is within let's say top 20?
If not, then their definition of merit as proposed by jamb or whoever is flawed.
I don't blame Northern universities rather I blame the Southern ones for leaving their merit to everyone.
The North knows that by picking top 3 in each state, they already have 19*3 from the North for "merit" before giving elds which the North is still the beneficiaries. Then catchment. This is so unfair to the likes of uniben which I know of and ui also.

U are wrong,
Samsung actually shut down its last remaining
smartphone factory in China this year. As of 2019,
the company is not making any phones in the
People’s Republic. It previously had two factories
in China but as Samsung’s market share fell below
1% in the country , it had to scale back production.
It no longer makes financial sense for Samsung to
manufacture phones in China. Which is why it has
now stopped doing that.

Their phones are mostly produced in VIETNAM

You are using an old Samsung prolly manufactured in China. So deal with it.
BTW I am typing with my rn8. Almost 7 months no issues whatsoever.
Show me any phone made by any brand at the price of my device that is better. I know you can't.

Horlorlardaey:
Transparency - 85%. Tribalism - 97%. Don't ask me how I know.
Udus MBBS is not about scores alone, there are many things attached that isn't fed to the public.
If you're from catchment - you're safe. If you're from ELD - you stand a chance. If you're from merit - then you'd fight a war to get in.
All in all what matters in Udus is your score, your state, God and maybe connections if you want MBBS.
On a simpler scale, last year merit was 280 until you apply. That 280 is just on paper, they will only admit you if you're the highest or among the highest from your state. ( assuming 10 people from Lagos or any merit state choose Udus for MBBS with scores like 340, 333, 320, 301, 298, 295, 289...) They will only admit the top 3 or 4 scorers for MBBS, the next 2 top scorers will be offered BDS ( a new programme) while others will be thrown to applied chm, MCB, etc. Don't forget the fact that all the ten aspirants had above 280 which was written on paper. That's why I said they are transparent but tribalisms is ....
But assuming you are from catchment states like Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Niger etc. With 270 they can literally beg you to accept the admission for MBBS. I saw people with 230, 240, 235, 250 etc offered MBBS from the core northern states (cut off mark for catchment was pegged at 230)...

There is no post utme as at now (just a good utme score and complete Olevel). Also their MBBS is kinda okay and fast too. Their class of 2015 were supposed to start their 2nd MB (Exam written at the end of 400lvl) in March before the ASUU stuffs.
Do your homework well, if you have 300+ in utme and you don't want to prepare for post utme again... You stand a good chance in Udus. Just don't be surprised if you're the only student from your state while some state have as high as 25 students.
Chief, greetings. pls I want to know if UDUS accepts DE for medicine & surgery.
Thanks.

Even though Kane is out, he knows what it means to play regularly. Manu doesn't have any striker to compete with him.
