I was just trying to reason towards the cause if the alleged sexual misconduct against Nigerian law makers in the us. I lodged in a cozy hotel in Las Vegas late last year and almost got tempted twice. After I woke up from sleep due to long flight hours I heard a knock on my door. A cleaner so pretty in her sewn to size apron greeted me with a charming smile on opening my door. Omo I didn't know when I asked her to come in instead of saying I had no garbage in the bin and my room was not dirty. She actually stepped in to my surprise. I offered her some fried cashew nuts I had brought from Nigeria and she gladly collected it. The door was still ajar and agro don dey rise for my jugular. When after cracking some jokes, I asked her to sit down cos she had been standing some inches from het trolley on the door, her face changed into a livid blur. She rapped so fast and left the room. It was later that I discovered she left the pack of cashew nuts.

Later I would go for buffet. I would take my food to the garden lobby to enjoy the view and have some solitary moments. A waiter stationed directly opposite me would smile and make a not too clear gesture each time our eyes met. She would edge closer when I smile back and ask if I was confortable and if I needed anything. Pretty oyibo. Guy one morning I don dey chop my food jeje she waka come again. I ask am her name. She told me. I look round with style nobody dey even look my side. I com tell am make she give me her number. Wetin I hear na, sorry not necessary with same smile she waka comot. The next morning na for my room I chop breakfast.

Minimum labor isn't mandatory, nobody forced or coerced her into accepting labor. All these allegations is just to make the victim look sympathetic. The family haven't told their own side of the story, and granted to agreed to pay her $100/month which I don't agree with, the option was hers and she made the decision. However, on the part of kidnapping, that's just unnecessary extra charge added on.

There is no need for stupid "gentleman's" agreements. To stay out of trouble pay them minimum wage at least and make sure there is a signed employment contract with clear hours of work. If you cannot afford it don't delve into it . No need forming unnecessary Bigman. If you have to employ 2 or 3 etc as the case may be so be it. The only reason people run into trouble is because they try to do things they cannot really afford on the cheap. The only justification for bringing in people from Nigeria is to teach your children Nigerian languages,apart from that you can employ people wherever you are and do thorough background checks and monitoring.They don't have to live with you. They can come in and do x number of hours y days a week on specific tasks. If you can't afford it don't break the law.Simples.

Complaint was probably filed by another bad-belly Nigerian. That's the way they live in Texas -(pull him down attitude). Who on earth will believe these in the USA? Food is probably the cheapest thing in US that even American rats are well-fed. If they stopped her from using hot water, did they seal the tap with a lock when they go out? I knew a story like this where a lady did everything to come to USA. after one year on arrival her relative who wanted her to move in with him promising her a better life but was resisted by her hosts filed criminal complaint against her host alleging unprintable things.

One lesson I must teach people: call me any name if you like; If you want peace of mind, keep Nigerians without a legal visa at arms length when they come abroad...don't rent your room to them, not even as extended visitors. Nigerians are generally kind and happy people, but very few terribly bad ones can cause chaos and turn your life into misery. forget about the 'church' they carry on their head...na for mouth

I tend to wonder what the future holds for this nation going by the kind of comments I read NL. I mean how can supposed 'graduates' or learned individuals reason with such flawed logic when there's ample evidence staring them in the face to the contrary. Is it tribalism? Hatred? Failed education or they're just being plain silly?

Throughout the tenure of uncle HERO, kerosene was subsidized to be sold at N50 but our mothers bought it at rates more than double the price. Before May 29th petrol was to sell at N87 but was sold more than N100 at most gas stations even when marketers have received their subsidy. Your HERO couldn't do anything about it. Just maybe he was having his share through madam.
Now someone entered and suddenly petrol now sells for N87, and some stations are even giving at N86 to get more patronage. Let me tell you once again in case you pretended not to see it, Otedola announced yesterday all his stations will be selling kero at N50, no more no less.
Leadership is not sold at Shoprite nor in Mile1 market. Your HERO lacked it and it's nobody's fault but his. You don't attain it by having your people bullying the whole nation into submission. It is inborn and inherent. Buhari has it and it's not his fault either.
