lalasticlala:Buhari cannot arrest a dog...Nigerians are crazy. democracy is all about free speech, that's how the opposition hold the ruling parties feet to the fire. This is democracy...this is not a dictatorship where you arrest opponent for casting aspersions at you...I fear for you all...the general will arrest him...that is so absurd and chilling to hear. The president of a country cannot go out arreting people...next he will ban nairaland so that you punks on here cannot criticize him. Be careful what you wish for. I am definitely not on the Buhari bandwagon. What sort of democracy is this? Isn't Fasoye a sitting governor? So arrest him despite his immunity clause...you all are crazy...absolute power corrupts absolutely...for those of you you believe that Buhari is incorruptible, we will see...only time will tell. |
nzeadachie:Nice come back...Biafra the home of the rising sun...the rising sun shall shine on us to bring the light of day, to all who sit in darkness light, and shadow of the day... |
EggovinMma:Did you in good conscience vote for Buhari. Go and tell that nonsense to thousands of Igbo who fled the North for fear of violence if Buhari wins these elections. We have to begin to use our heads. You guys will never learn. Continue to play second fiddle to the Hausa Bigot...who threw Alex Ekweme in prison while detaining Shagari in house arrest. I promise you this Okorocha has sold his soul to the devil. He is con-man. He won't be reelected. I don't understand Okorocha's rationale. He will never be accepted by the North. To them he is f u c k ing infidel doing the bidding of the Hausa/Fulani who want power at all cost...nonsense |
icon8:I don't believe GMB will get up to two votes in GEJ's local government. |
TheGoodJoe:I didn't see anyone doing anything wrong. He is the one causing the chaos. |
There should be cause for alarm. The wicked tyrant Buhari who jailed Alex Ekwueme, and spared Shagari jail time will NEVER SEE THE SEAT POWER IN Nigeria again. Buhari sent the likes of Melford Okilo, and Sam Mbakwe to their early grave. |
Nigeria is not the Ivory Coast, where Gbagbo, and his wife were humiliated, and transferred to the Hague. Take it from me, if Buhari wins. Buhari will extract oil from the Niger Delta only on one ground, through ethnic cleansing. Buhari will have to kill everyone in the Niger Delta for that to happen. It will never happen. Nigeria is bracing up for another civil war!!!!! |
cyril83:Let's do the if argument. If Abacha did not die, we won't have an Obasanjo. If Babaniga had not annul June 12th, we won't have Abacha...We can go on and on. The fact is this. GEJ got his studies done, perhaps the reason why he was tapped as a deputy Governor. The rest is history. The take away is that GEJ got his studies done. He will be reelected because Nigerians believe he is eminently more qualified than a washed up dictator who got into the Nigerian army through the back door. |
Collynzo419:The way you constantly abuse Mama Peace is an indication that you have no respect for women. I AM VERY SURE YOU INSULT YOUR OWN MOTHER ON A DAILY BASIS IF YOU HAVE ONE. You come across as a wife beater. It is not her fault that she is barren. When you state thus, you are invariably insulting her creator. Lay off a woman. Go after her husband. He is the one running for office, she is not. She is only being a supportive spouse. Let Ms. Buhari take care of her, if she has the skills. |
[quote author=Collynzo419 post=31923026]This woman is a disgrace. I don't have a problem because she is fat and barren, that is not a problem but it is her lack of decorum and etiquette that is so annoying. She is a liability to Dr. Jogogoro and an embarrassment to Nigeria. Do not be fooled, this woman is the main proponent behind the corruption going on in Aso Rock. Her unquenchable thirst for ill gotten wealth can only be matched with her voracious appetite for fatty foods. This fat shepopotamus ordered her supporters to stone anyone that clamours for change. Nigerians will respond to this incitement on March 28th #wehavedecided |
Collynzo419:I beg to differ Sir. Actually, the Governors from that era achieved more than all of their predecessors put together. Nwobodo and Mbakwe were excellent governors. They both transformed their respective states. Nwaobodo turned Enugu into a mega city. Mbakwe did wonders in Owerri, Aba and Umuahia. You won't find anyone in Imo who will speak poorly of Sam Mbakwe. Actually, Buhari killed Mbakwe. He never recovered after he was released from Kirikiri. While these Igbo politicians languished in jail for alleged embezzlement of public funds, the Chief embezzler, Shehu Aliu Shagari, a Hausa from Sokoto, enjoyed house arrest. To state that Buhari is an ethnic bigot is an understatement. He is deeply triblistic. If Buhari did not change at age 41, he will definitely not change at 72 Buhari's idea of sending corrupt politicians to prison is selective. It depends on where you come from. If you are a Shagari, you enjoy house arrest but if you are an Ekwueme or Nwobodo, you languish in Kirikiri. As of very recent, Buhari stated that Abacha did not loot. You be the judge. |
pendy79:In six years GEJ supposed to perform miracles and rescue Nigeria from the rot of over 50 years heaped on it by mostly Northern leaders, including Buhari. For the first time in the annals of her history Nigeria elected a president from the Niger Delta, where 90% of Nigeria oil wealth is derived from. And for the first time in her history Nigeria witnessed unprecedented violence in the Northern region of the country in the name of Boko Haram. Some Northern leaders including the opposition leader stated in clear terms, a fight against BH, is a fight against the North. Any reasonable observer will only conclude that BH is a political tool designed to make the North ungovernable, and make first South-South President appear weak. The fact of the matter is this, the Nigeria oil wealth belongs to the people of the Niger Delta, and militants in the area can declare war on oil workers, if they believe that they are been marginalized. And it will happen, if the Hausa North liaise with the Yoruba South to deny Jonathan a second term. We will then begin to see the coming to fruition of the prophecy by own Igbo Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu. A new Biafara State may be born. Nigeria vote wisely. Nigeria may fall like Sudan or Somalia if care is not taken. |
HzRF:Why did Buhari imprison Alex Ekwueme at Kirikiri, and hold Shehu Shagari under house arrest in Sokoto. Ekwueme was only deputizing, Shagari was at the helm of a corrupt government Buhoohri gave as a reason to topple Shagari? It doesn't make sense. Shagari is a Northern brother, and Ekwueme is a bloody Igbo. Classic Buhari. If Buhari wins, the Niger Delta will explode. No human will drill oil in the area. Nigeria will have multiple insurgency in its hands. BH in the North, Niger Delta youths in the South-South. Vote wisely! I have heard of negotiations, that won't happen. Niger Delta will call for an outright secession from the country. The Igbo will join with the Niger Delta, and Nigeria will implode. |
polite2:Why did Buhari imprison Alex Ekwueme at Kirikiri, and held Shehu Shagari under house arrest in his villa in Sokoto. Ekwueme was only deputizing, Shagari was at the helm of the said corruption Buhoori gave as a reason for toppling Shagari? Doesn't make sense. Shagari is a Northern brother, and Ekwueme is a bloody Igbo. Classic Buhari. |
Acekidc4:Was the bridge built in six days? |
lastpage:You are vile. I grantee you are a woman beater. No man should address any women with those adjectives you listed above. Smelly Have you ever come close to her? Creek fish seller What a dumb stereotype, filled with hate and ignorance. She is a Creek fish seller, and so what Does that make you a better person? I will argue it hasn't thus far. Why? Because she and her husband occupy the highest officer in the land, and you on the other hand will never be found near the gates of Aso-Rock. If you dare, you will end up in an unmarked grave, you stupid son of a b i t c h. Only a trifling b i t c h will raise a mutherfucker who addresses a woman with such vile words. I am absolutely sure you have no regards for your own mother. She probably stinks in between her legs. Perhaps you think every woman stinks because the b i t c h that gave birth to you smells. Get lost, you stupid ass b i t c h. |
Adminisher:Put up a state by state breakdown just as I did. And also confer with the electorial map of 2011, a whole lot has not changed since 2011. |
dejisky:Buhari will never win in States like Plateau, Adamawa, and Kogi State. Buhari will never win in Delta State, I don't care who is the governor there. I am not sure of the Yoruba states. I believe Jonathan will carry Lagos though. Youruba's are always in bed with the Hausas vice versa. I am beginning to see the fruition of a Biafran State by Ojukwu in the 1960s. I smell disintegration if the Yoruba side with the Hausa-Fulani to deny Jonathan a second term. |
AmakaDNB:This is a precedent set by Northern and South-Western leaders who have occupied the office. The village committee argument will not arise all of a sudden because Jonathan is a member of a minority group? He must be returned to power for Nigeria to remain as an entity, period. Nigeria is tittering on the edge of a razor with these elections. |
emeka2847:On Point |
gracevile:He didn't fail Nigeria by any stretch of the imagination. Have you ever sat back and asked yourself, why is the North-East in uproar. What is happening in the North-East that is not happening in other parts of the country. Why the insurgency in the North-East? Is it based on poverty? Nigeria as a whole is poverty ridden. No one people can claim monopoly of poverty in Nigeria. So, you can only come up with one reasonable conclusion: political actors in the North-East fueled the insurgency in the North-East, allowed it to fester to discredit the hard work of the first South-South President. Nigeria will disintegrate if Jonathan is not returned to a second term, Take my word for it. If it will take a President from the North-East to quell the insurgency in the North-East, then we have no business remaining together as a people. The union will be irretrievably fractured by such a move. We will be opening up the Pandora-box for multiple insurgencies. And such insurgency will only quell if a member of the Geo-political zone of the insurgency is elected to the highest office in the land. A President Jonathan should be supported to deal decisively with Boko-Haram. So also will a President Gambo Mohammed be supported to deal with the militancy in the Niger-Delta or quest for secession by Biafra. |
POPdecorator:A soldier fights wars, defends the territorial integrity of a nation. Protecting civilians falls in the laps of the Police. Educated civilians like Jonathan govern, craft policies that enhance the development of a people. Zoology is an academic discipline that encompasses rigorous academic work and research. You won't know anything about that because you write like an illiterate. To obtain a degree in Zoology you must excel in the following: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and of course English language. You will also have to write a thesis and defend it. When it comes to academic qualification, you cannot compare Jonathan to Buhari. We don't want an uneducated illiterates leading us. It is analogous to the blind leading a bunch of people with 20/20 visions. |
Who will forget: Holiday! Holiday! Holiday! Holiday come and let us go, everybody likes holiday! Oh holiday! come and let us go. I attended Army Primary School, Ikot Ansa, Calabar. At the end of the stanza, we will all shout Oh mboridem come and let us go. I believe mboridem means holidays in Calabar. I have forgotten my Efik....lol What about: the day is bright, is bright and fair, oh happy day, the day of joy! When the saints are matching on, when the saints are matching on, so I want to be in the numbers, when the saints are matching on! |
If Jonathan is not reelected Nigeria as we know it will disintegrate into shreds...Mark my word. omenka: |

War against indiscipline was the most boneheaded policy implemented in any country in modern times. Buhari believed in flogging Nigerians into submission, and discipline. He had absolutely no respect for the people he was leading. WAI reminds me of the antics of one Saddam Hussein in Iraq, and Ghadafi of Libya. Buhari was reading from the play book of these dictators. Buhari's implementation of justice, was selective. While he locked up the likes of Alex Ekweme, Lateef Jakande, and Melford Okilo in Kirikiri Prison, Buhari allowed, the then, President Shehu Shagari, and some Northern politicians who played key roles in emptying the States treasury to enjoy house arrest. Buhari is a tribalist, and an a religious bigot. Didn't he recently proclaim that a fight against BH, is a fight against the North. Buhari as recent as 2013, accused GEJ of fighting the North. Most Northerners who are sincere, and fair minded know that assertion to be untrue. Yes! I will agree with this author GEJ will win soundly come March 28th. The Nigerian election will mirror the Obama election of 2012, when some naive political pundits believed that Romney had it in the bag, only for him to be trounced resoundingly. It is comical when some people present Buhari as an agent of change. There is nothing new in trying to foist a 72 year old ex-dictator on Nigerians. Change is always, synonymous with youth, fresh ideas, breaking the glass ceiling. Buhari has non of these traits. I hope he will join hands with Jonathan after March 28th to move Nigeria forward. Buhari has huge following in the North. He should use his gravitas as a statesman to help Jonathan deal with the issue of BH once and for all. As for new ideas, Buhari has none. He is better off helping from the sidelines. |
This says a lot about the opposition. They threat women with disrespect. Addressing the First Lady as crude tells you a lot about the men at the helm of affairs of the opposition. Who actually is crude? I believe the male who addresses a woman as crude, is actually the crude one. The first lady is entitled to her opinion. Address her opinion in a dignifying manner, and refrain from name calling. |
Buhari doesn't have the luxury of going on vacation in a foreign land at this juncture. He is an absolute joke. His handlers are either stupid, they are taking Nigerians for a ride or Buhari's health is in question. Above and beyond, I believe they are excellent holiday resorts in Nigeria where he can go and rest, if indeed this so called rest is needed. What actually will happen if he is elected. He may not have strength to deal with the myriads of problems he will be inheriting. While Buhari is resting, Jonathan is looking absolutely presidential as ever. He is carrying on with the affairs of the State. I don't believe Nigerians at this juncture will hand over the reigns of Aso Rock to a 72 year old fledgling politician, whose health maybe in question. PassingShot: |
ademega:How can he be close to Aso Rock when he travels overseas at at heart of his presidential campaign. It doesn't make any sense that he will travel overseas at this crucial juncture. His handlers are taking Nigerians for a ride. How can a major party presidential contender travel overseas for ten days, when the election is barely three weeks away. APC is relying on the wave of Buhari's Northern voters, who will vote for a Buhari even if he is on a dead bed. Buhari's traction begins and ends in the North. I don't see the nation wide earth shaking traction that will end Jonathan's reign at Aso Rock. Just like in 2011, Buhari will lose. Buhari may gather a little bit more votes than he received in the South in 2011, but those new votes won't be enough to get him over the hump. |
Why is Buhari in London at the heart of a presidential campaign. What happened to resting in Nigeria? LasgidyPort: |
