I beg to differ Sir. Actually, the Governors from that era achieved more than all of their predecessors put together. Nwobodo and Mbakwe were excellent governors. They both transformed their respective states. Nwaobodo turned Enugu into a mega city. Mbakwe did wonders in Owerri, Aba and Umuahia. You won't find anyone in Imo who will speak poorly of Sam Mbakwe. Actually, Buhari killed Mbakwe. He never recovered after he was released from Kirikiri. While these Igbo politicians languished in jail for alleged embezzlement of public funds, the Chief embezzler, Shehu Aliu Shagari, a Hausa from Sokoto, enjoyed house arrest. To state that Buhari is an ethnic bigot is an understatement. He is deeply triblistic. If Buhari did not change at age 41, he will definitely not change at 72

Buhari's idea of sending corrupt politicians to prison is selective. It depends on where you come from. If you are a Shagari, you enjoy house arrest but if you are an Ekwueme or Nwobodo, you languish in Kirikiri.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said the opinion polls won’t help the All Progressives Congress, saying the party is suffering from “Acquired Self-deceit Syndrome.”

Jonathan is going to be the first incumbent president to lose elections and handover peacefully to his successor.

He didn't fail Nigeria by any stretch of the imagination. Have you ever sat back and asked yourself, why is the North-East in uproar. What is happening in the North-East that is not happening in other parts of the country. Why the insurgency in the North-East? Is it based on poverty? Nigeria as a whole is poverty ridden. No one people can claim monopoly of poverty in Nigeria. So, you can only come up with one reasonable conclusion: political actors in the North-East fueled the insurgency in the North-East, allowed it to fester to discredit the hard work of the first South-South President. Nigeria will disintegrate if Jonathan is not returned to a second term, Take my word for it.

If it will take a President from the North-East to quell the insurgency in the North-East, then we have no business remaining together as a people. The union will be irretrievably fractured by such a move. We will be opening up the Pandora-box for multiple insurgencies. And such insurgency will only quell if a member of the Geo-political zone of the insurgency is elected to the highest office in the land. A President Jonathan should be supported to deal decisively with Boko-Haram. So also will a President Gambo Mohammed be supported to deal with the militancy in the Niger-Delta or quest for secession by Biafra.

Lagos State coordinator of the Buhari-Osinbajo Presidential Campaign Organisation, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke yesterday said All Progressives Congress (APC) has done vigorous political campaign to sweep the polls in 26 states of the federation in the forthcoming presidential election scheduled for March 28.

Speaking at a press conference to herald one million man march in Lagos tagged ‘Marching for Change’, Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives said the party is not in any way jittery over constant campaign visits of President Goodluck Jonathan to the South West region.

He said, “We are not worried about President Jonathan’s visit to Lagos, let him continue to share his dollars, as far as we are concern in South West, it is Buhari at all states. Buhari will win in 26 states across the country.”

Faleke added that Nigerians are ready to vote for change, saying “The present administration has done nothing; they could not deliver on constant power; and we can’t allow them to continue ruling the country like this, its certain that Nigerians will vote out PDP at the poll.”

He said that APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Buhari’s running mate Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola would lead the million man march for Buhari slated for Saturday March 7.

Faleke explained that the walk will commence from Maryland through Ikorodu road to terminate at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

He added that the walk is to showcase that residents were ready for the general elections.

“It will also give psychological reawakening to the electorates.

“It is also to say that Nigerians reject the return to the dark age of Temporary Voter Cards (TVCs); there is no going back on PVCs as it is the practice in civilized countries,” Faleke said.

He assured that the walk would be guided and would not disrupt commercial and business activities.

Faleke assured that all relevant agencies and security operatives have been adequately mobilized to ensure hitch-free political walk

Yes! I will agree with this author GEJ will win soundly come March 28th. The Nigerian election will mirror the Obama election of 2012, when some naive political pundits believed that Romney had it in the bag, only for him to be trounced resoundingly.
It is comical when some people present Buhari as an agent of change. There is nothing new in trying to foist a 72 year old ex-dictator on Nigerians. Above and beyond, I believe they are excellent holiday resorts in Nigeria where he can go and rest, if indeed this so called rest is needed. What actually will happen if he is elected. He may not have strength to deal with the myriads of problems he will be inheriting. While Buhari is resting, Jonathan is looking absolutely presidential as ever. He is carrying on with the affairs of the State. I don't believe Nigerians at this juncture will hand over the reigns of Aso Rock to a 72 year old fledgling politician, whose health maybe in question.

How can he be close to Aso Rock when he travels overseas at at heart of his presidential campaign. It doesn't make any sense that he will travel overseas at this crucial juncture. His handlers are taking Nigerians for a ride. How can a major party presidential contender travel overseas for ten days, when the election is barely three weeks away. APC is relying on the wave of Buhari's Northern voters, who will vote for a Buhari even if he is on a dead bed. Buhari's traction begins and ends in the North. I don't see the nation wide earth shaking traction that will end Jonathan's reign at Aso Rock. Just like in 2011, Buhari will lose. Buhari may gather a little bit more votes than he received in the South in 2011, but those new votes won't be enough to get him over the hump.

Why is Buhari in London at the heart of a presidential campaign. What happened to resting in Nigeria?
