We believe in visions, but we have no reason to believe that they will come to pass. Visions are hallucinations. They are not real.

That mentally ill (psychosis) man you see on the street of Lagos telling you he's in Sokoto actually saw himself in Sokoto. That mentally ill woman who gives people Baba Ijebu numbers, football scores, etc, actually SAW something others could not see, yet you believe her, but you feel prophecy are mere mathematical permutations.

There are honest prophets and dishonest prophets. A honest prophet has a dream or a hallucination and thinks it will come to pass. We accept the honest prophet's experience but we see no reason to believe that what he saw will come to pass. Dishonest prophets have other tactics.

If people could hear strange voices, see angels in the street of Lagos and science calls it hallucinations, why can't the dumbest of all atheists believe that REAL angels could be real after all?

This is highly illogical, sir. We believe that people can hear strange voices and see 'angels', but we know that those experiences are not real.

If his story is false, they have a huge incentive to come in here and shut the whole thing down. Yet they haven't. That's something, isn't it?

onyenze123, I gave some examples of things that are logically impossible for God. Do you accept that God has limits? If not, pls explain why.

I'm yet to see any comment from ASF people on this thread. If HardMirror's story is a fabrication, why won't they come out and debunk it?

It will be difficult for HardMirror to convince most of us that his story is true without revealing his true identity. Is HardMirror ready for that?

Too many people will get banned if we continue like this. I'm so tired.

I guess a public investigation isn't going to work. The Christians want to discredit HardMirror at all costs because they think souls are at stake. Anyone who says anything that stands in the way of their goal will be accused of being all sorts of things. So where do we go from here?

to put simply. HardMirror claims to have been in asf while the said deceased brother was in caccf but according to his story he knew the deceased brother. This information was refuted by all the caccf members that were asked to confirm. Initially HardMirror avoided answering when the question about the name of the brother was posed to him. Afterwards he told us that he was going to give us the name of the said individual that we should be patient.
It became apparent that he didn't know the name of the brother when we saw his chat with howmon offline. Whilst he claimed to know the name of the brother on nairaland, he appeared unsure of the name when he was conversing with the fellow offline.
So it's safe to say the burden of proof rests with him because even the former caccf members were willing to go ahead and still recheck if he would just give them the name of the person he claimed to know.
We've had at least 24 hours of investigation so I don't think it'd be efficient to start yeh process all over again. If HopefulLandlord is sincere enough (I sure believe he is, I give my respect to him in that regard) he should tell you his findings about this entire episode and then you can take it up front there

As it happened one guy named howmon or so who happened to finish from the school and attended the said fellowship stepped up to say he wasn't aware of the said death of any member that year. A few others confirmed that no such event occured after offline conversations amongst demogul (hope I got that correct), howmon and hard mirror. HardMirror tried to discredit the report that wasn't in his favour but we were shown whatsapp chats of conversations that went on amongst the fellowship members (they have an active whatsapp group).

Also, despite that HardMirror appeared to be dead sure about the identity of the said deceased person, in his offline conversation with the fellowship member, he said he appeared unsure of the said deceased person, exposing a clear lie on his part.

I admire your concern for the accuracy of the story. I certainly wish that people had the same concern for other stories they've been told.

Members of that fellowship, said nobody died due to fasting, after being questioned, he said he was not sure, his human memory may have failed him.

Did they say nobody died due to fasting, or that nobody died? The claim is that he died of ulcer which HardMirror thinks was caused by fasting.

None of the above. The unanimous declaration by members of the fellowship in question is that nobody died in 2009 and in 2010 in their fellowship.
Its not about ulcer or complications from fasting. There was no recorded death.

Ok, so either HardMirror made it up despite it not being an important detail in his story, or the information he got from his fellowship members was not accurate, or he was not a member of the fellowship that HardMirror thought he was a member of. Am I getting this right?

So it seems that HardMirror heard that a highly spiritual brother died of ulcer, and deduced that the ulcer must have been caused by fasting.

What part of the sentence above is being disputed? That someone died of ulcer, or that the ulcer must have been caused by fasting?
