seun Here is my submission. i uploaded it on google drive because it's bigger than 4mb

Note that the input file must be of format .wav not mp3 also, the audio file should be named in.Wav
And it should be placed in the same folder as the program.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8y25uHu4KfzS1h3VDFiWkdseW8/view?usp=sharing

The file is compressed to reduce size. You can decompress using this http://www.7-zip.org/download HTML

I just got tired and had to submit. I have an exam in a few hours time. angry grin
I can't find any code in the 7zip file.

PoliticsRe: Watch Christiane Amanpour Interview President Buhari On CNN (July 21) by Seun(mod): 8:35pm On Jul 21, 2015
President Buhari is a sharp person. He is not an academically inclined person or high intellectual, but he's clever enough to outperform his predecessor and do a decent job. The problem is his age. It finally caught up with him. Source: his youtube videos from 2011 and earlier.
PetsRe: The Danger Of Feeding Your Dogs Raw Meat/Foetus by Seun(mod):
Raw feeding is great if you're sure of the source of the meat. If not, just cook the meat. Personally I trust imported, frozen chicken and turkey that's meant for human consumption. I don't trust locally slaughtered meat (beef, pork, etc). The benefit of raw feeding of meat is not in rawness of the food but the meatiness of the food. Meat retains most of its nutritional value when it's cooked, so just cook it if in doubt.

pmadise:
I feed foetus but not raw. I dried it then subsequently use hot water to prepare the meal. My little pup likes it and evidently so. I don't only like it cos my pup likes it but also cheaper. wink
Where can I get some of that? Why do you dry it before cooking it? Tnx.

Cc: Seun ... Questions pls.
The input mp3 file for identification...
Is the voice going to be one person or conversation btw 2 or more persons (interview)...
Are we dealing with noise also ( like speech delivered in campaign arena)
There will be just one Nigerian politician talking for 10 seconds or more in each audio clip. I'll try to minimize noise, but I can't guarantee this.

This is simple Computer Science, folks. Just read up on the relevant papers and applicable open source libraries and implement them. wink

As a sequel to the signature contest, here's a more challenging contest for programmers who are true computer scientists:

Write a program that will read a sound recording (mp3 format) containing at least 10 seconds of a Nigerian politician talking, and then print "Yes" to the console if the person speaking in the sound recording is President Buhari, and "No" if the person speaking is not President Buhari.

You can use any common programming language that runs on Windows 7/8/10. Use only open source libraries that I can compile on Windows.

The prize is 50,000 naira and I will award it to the first contestant whose code achieves a high level of accuracy (~90%).

Good luck!

An attempt. Got lazy towards the end. Where Seun?? Winner don show na. grin
jacob05, congrats.. wink
Interesting entry, but:
1) The animation is better than jacob05's, but it looks like someone using a pen to draw straight lines connected to each other, not curves.
2) There is no anti-aliasing. All pixels are either black or grey. Anti-aliasing makes lines and curves smoother by adding shades of grey.
3) You maintained a constant aspect ratio regardless of the size of the box, but it is different from the aspect ratio of the original signature.

Cc: Seun for your review
Good attempt, but you got three things wrong:
1) The animation looks like someone drawing a short lines in quick succession rather than actually drawing smooth curves with a pen.
2) There is no anti-aliasing. All pixels are either black or white. Anti-aliasing makes lines and curves smoother by adding shades of grey.
3) You didn't maintain the proper aspect ratio for the signature. Depending on user input, the output can be too fat or too skinny (pics).

If yes pick your language of choice. Also do you want the signature generated animated like a person signing the signature?
Yes, it should be animated but you dont need to show the person signing it or the pen. The pen should just be a dot.
