Opey4luv: My Bosses in the house, should I opt for the HP 650 with Widows 8, 7 or the one pre-installed with Ubuntu.

Choose Windows 8 with a core processor. Where do you intend to get the HP 650 pre-installed with Ubuntu in Nigeria, by the way?

Is she married?

How about The Bells in Ota?

aitoehigie: Where is this office located?

It's located in a university town: Otta. Covenant University and The Bells University are based in Otta.

aitoehigie: Is this a rolling recruitment process or is there a deadline to applications?

There's no deadline, but it's a good idea to apply earlier so we can start the interview process.

Ajibel: Boss Seun, what of gym for the programmers to exercise and masseurs. Toys and light-food (snacks) and

We are eager to provide any affordable perks that will make you happy and also boost your productivity.

@Javanian: if they can be learnt after the programmer is hired, then they can be learnt before the programmer is hired.

Added this as well just now:
"The boss is committed to creating excellent working conditions for programmers, because he's a programmer himself. Every programmer will have an ergonomic executive chair, a huge desk with ample legroom, and a beautiful desktop computer with a quad HD touchscreen display and high-end specs. Our programming office has all-day air conditioning and lots of space. Commuting from Lagos will be fast and stress-free due to traffic dynamics."

ibietela2: Wooow...

Wow? How?

You choose a non rdbms if your data is non relational eg analysis of apache web server logs.

There's nothing inherently non-relational about apache web server logs. It would make a lot of sense to parse apache server logs and load them into properly indexed database tables for analysis of the data using powerful & elegant SQL queries.

You choose it also when u dont need joins and transactions which typical rdbms provide

Decisions should not be made based on negative requirements. You may think you don't need transactions and joins, but what if it turns out that you need them after choosing a non-relational database? (from experience, this always happens)

I dont know, but the biggest app here in Nigeria is Nairaland But Nairaland itself is not big enuff to max out mysql.

Simple answer is if u are not Facebook, twitter, google etc, just stick with rdbms.

You've got that right, bro!

aitoehigie: It's everywhere in computer village. I have used mine for almost 2 years and no issues

Ok, that's good. I bet it's very similar to the HP 650 variants with core i3/i5 processors.

aitoehigie: I disagree. If you don't find the keyboard of the Lenovo b570e out of this world, I will refund the cost of purchase. Go for it @op

Where can he buy it from? How will he repair it if it has any issues? How available are its spare parts?

samsolite: Can I upgrade a 1gb RAM, 120GB HDD to 4GB?

Probably not. Start with the HP 650. My first laptop was the old version of the HP 650 and it was great for coding.

ogugua88: Happy birthday.

MillionDollars: kidnappers? ? Hotel? ? Advanced! No b forest again

Onyenna: But this is rather STRANGE!!... Kidnappers and their victims in a HOTEL room!!??

Have you already forgotten that Cynthia Osokogu was tortured and killed by her kidnappers in a hotel room in Festac?

I think the HP 650 with a core i5 or i3 processor and at least 4gb of ram would be a good entry level laptop for anyone. Upgrade the RAM to 6 - 8 gb for even better performance.

Well she's alive, so I think she will be just fine.
They would probably have broken up after a while, anyway, if he hadn't died.
I feel more for the deceased and his family.
They cannot replace him.

The guy's life hasn't been easy, and even after catching a break with Glee he still ends up dead. So sad.

sexkillz: The spambot thinks a foreign language is spam. So before you copy and paste from google, think twice, before it hands you a ban.

False. The spambot doesn't care about language. Sometimes it mistakenly marks foreign languages as spam but that's why we have mods. It's their duty to correct these mistakes so that the spambot will have a better idea of what is spam and what is not spam. When they fail to do this, then you can have situation where people are wrongly banned. Don't be afraid to post anything that's not spam or against the rules of Nairaland.
