We removed that counter-productive warning a long time ago. Reporting a post is perfectly safe. Please start doing it from today.

In a free society there's nothing like food shortage, only expensive food. Even if all crops in the country are destroyed, we'll just import more rice and other cheap staples. This is why economically dumb laws banning importation of food are dangerous; they take away that option. In the absence of dumb restrictions on food importation, the only way you can have food shortage is if the entire world runs out of food. Not likely.

Obinoscopy: Seun has said it all. Never hesitate to use the report button once you suspect any post or thread. The mods can't be everywhere at the same time. Its with your help and mine that the mods can fish out those scams, spams & trolls and deal with them accordingly. Kind regards.

The new mods won't wait for members to report bad things before taking action, but reporting will lead to a faster response.

We cannot create a section for every interesting topic. Every new section requires more moderators and creates an extra attack surface for spam. We already many more moderators than we can handle and some more popular sections don't have any moderator, so it's not worth it, and we already have so many sections to keep clean from spam and we have not managed to clean them yet. A topic like agriculture deserves a sticky thread, maybe. Maybe a sticky thread on "Farming Techniques" in the Science/Technology section is what you need. I just don't think we have enough farmers on the Internet to make a board worthwhile. If a new board fails to attract traffic, it dies and becomes a liability.

doctokwus: Ur site is going places Seun,so u need to also b cautious of d posts allowed,particularly d jobs/autos section.Of course u cannot b verifying all posts since its a free medium,but some smell fraud frm miles off& dese are d type dat shd really come down on.

Once you report them, the mods will respond. If the problem persists and we can't handle it , we may have to close the boards affected.

Actually, there's no moderator here, so I've asked mukina2 to appoint a new moderator.

Agriculture is basically all about food production, therefore I think Agriculture threads will be right at home in the food section.
