Dear Esteemed Webmasters, I am sorry that I failed to address this issue properly earlier. I have attempted to fix the phantom bracket smiley problem with no luck. There is nothing in the code that should lead to that result. It's indeed a modern mystery. However, I will continue to investigate the issue whenever I'm free. Meanwhile, I will like advice programmers to include a space between quotes and right brackets. I'm very sorry about this. |
I have posted code many times, and the [code] tag has been good enough every time. Sure there's a minor rendering bug, and I have checked the code trying to figure out what's responsible for the rendering bug, with no luck. The programmers I hired could not figure it out either. 99.99% of Nairalanders are not affected at all, and those 3 Nairalanders affected can avoid it very easily. |
If you think this is important, why not send me an implementation I can plug in? |
You got a response. |
whitecat007: Seun, why is it difficult for you and your mods to do the right thing? for the past several days now that I have been asking for help to delete some posts that I am not very proud of. You should at least reply to let me know if my request is not doable.Ask mukina2 or semid4lyfe |
jude33084: So if mr. A use paracetamol to kill mr. C, then because mr. C comes from a known or wealthy family τhe drug should be bannedWhat's your solution to the problem they are trying to solve? |
Sky walker: Is the ban of this drug going to stop the next killer from killing the next Cynthia? I dont think soSo what do you recommend? |
Negro_Ntns: Seun, you sneak up in here don't even say hello to Chief Negro.hello! |
Ola one: Just say it, man: you don't want religious 'wrath.'I said it earlier. ![]() |
abiL: Mtcheewww!are you a market lady? :-) |
abiL: ...&& what do you make of these two NL members (Dailynews and free2rhyme) using modella's picture without her consent and making a mockery of her?report to moderator |
I think such a feature will be used to bully people and oppress newbies. Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg has also refused to implement this feature. |
beautiful Onyi: Seun, she's right. People don't expect pretty girls to be smart. For some reason, they do not expect that God could be soo kind to give beauty and brains to just one person. From my experience , people expect pretty girls to be dumb! How I love shocking them. As a beautiful girl, you have to prove your brilliance over and over again compared to less endowed sisters---people will want to believe you either slept with the lecturer or something. It's not true that people don't expect pretty girls to be smart. That was not my point at all. My point is that intelligence is judged primarily based on what you say or do, and not how you look. When the things you say and do are not of any importance, then people will assume that it's because you're relying on your beauty to get you through life, too distracted by the attention you get from men to strive for any meaningful achievement, and that you spend too much time shopping for clothes and Brazillian hair and applying make-up that you don't have any time left to acquire knowledge and strive for concrete achievements. It's not that they assume you're not smart because you're attractive. It's that the things you talk about and how you spend your time and carry yourself make them conclude you're not smart, and they think your beauty is to blame. |
abouzaid: Seun i find it heartbreaking that muslims are free to open christian threads and freely comment on it while christians are not. Are u saying that mods on d religion and politics boards can't detect what is offensive?Yes. It takes a muslim to know what will offend other muslims. Think about it for a while, and you'll realize that I'm right. |
temmytanny: This is Nairaland and abuses are very common,i tried at the beginning never to let this thread go same as other threads on nairaland but some people wont let it be. Moderators cant ban but hide posts,on SEUN can block IDs or usernames. Not true. Moderators can ban people from their sections. |
You should create a different thread for each debate so they can be found easily. |
Many Hollywood actresses actually have self esteem issues, according to a book I think I read sometime ago. |
abiL: Let me go and post my view on the foreign policy debate between Obama and RomneyWell done. Do that 3 or 4 times a day and things will surely improve. ![]() |
abiL: Shebi you don't do brazillian hair, I'm removing it now. I've broken all the mirrors I own, and right now (as I'm typing this to you, my love), I'm changing into a jeans.Next step. Log out of Romance, go to the Foreign Affairs section and watch the 3 Obama-Romney debates and drop your unique insights. |
abiL: I'm sorry to disappoint you, but my persona on NL don't define meActually, what a person chooses to do and think and talk about in his/her own time and by his/her own choice probably defines the person!! |
abiL: I have no b[oo]bs. It's like a handful.. If you want to grab a feelThese are the sort of things you need to say less frequently. ![]() |
abiL: Them girls you've mentioned are not pretty to me. Personal preferencesMaybe the things you do and the things you say do not suggest that you are not an airhead, so they just assume you are. Natalie Portman is taken seriously because she cares about things like politics, and she goes to school even though she doesn't have to, and when she talks she sounds like a person that thinks about serious things. I think Emma Watson is a younger version of her. Basically, you have to give people a reason to believe you are a deviation from the stereotype. Talk less about Brazilian hair, Nollywood, men, make-up, fashion, etc and talk more about things airheads never talk about. Spend less time in front of a mirror. Wear jeans once in a while. Be different! I don't know jor. |
abiL: Some people assumes that I'm an airhead. It's not just because you're pretty. Natalie Portman, and Emma Watson are as pretty as a lady can be, but they are not considered to be airheads. |
eazyd: Apple unveiled an Ipad mini today--where the heck do you get your gist fromThey unveiled both. |
Hello Peterwins. Thanks for your comment on Nestlé Golden Morn. I’m Iquo Ukoh from Nestlé Nigeria. Here's a follow-up statement from Nestle addressing the reason for the label change: In our efforts to improve the information we provide on our packaging, we decided to change the statement in June 2012, which coincided with a packaging and recipe change we have done on Nestlé Golden Morn to make your favorite cereal more nutritious and delicious.
