Not Bad. Good work!

More things to look at:
- Contrary to popular opinion online, the naira sign is actually the unicode character ₦ and not N.
- The auction mechanism doesn't seem to be perfected yet. An auction that was supposed
to expire in 1 minute rolled back to 23 hours 59 minutes after and has remained open since!!

Can you also include Cross-Site-Request-Forgery protection so third parties can't log users out or trick them into performing other unintended actions on the site?

Nice work. Things seem really nice now. Well done!

Can you indicate the proper currency units ($ or ₦) everywhere in the user interface where applicable?

I have no problem with people who care so much about Nairalist.
If we continue to get these requests, we may revive Nairalist.

password hashing would be good too. Love your use of Twitter Bootstrap.

:-)

Can you also fix the date/time system so it works with relative time? when setting up an auction, you should be able to say I want the auction to be open for 3 days or 5 hours or 8 minutes. when viewing an auction, you should be able to see whether the auction ends in 2 days or 7 hours or 4 minutes.

Email address verification, of course, as indicated in the original spec.

Regular users can deposit naira and withdraw dollars.
The CBN should be able to deposit dollars and withdraw naira.

Well done. I'm impressed by your progress. So I guess it's now a one man race.

Checking it out. Have you implemented the CBN governor account yet?

Are they smart?  Can they code?  Do they understand business and economics?  Are they good with puzzles?

Don't worry about that. I have it running on my laptop. How can I set up an auction?

You seem to be making a lot of progress.  Kudos!  How can one test this?

Checking out your code. Trying to install mako.

It's a sensible proposal, but human nature will make it impossible for people to accept it.

@BOMANY: Most users were smarter than you. We under-promised and over-delivered to please smart users.

What's up, guys?

What reasons did they give for the ban? Did they give you a warning earlier? I've been suspended at least twice.

29k seems too expensive. That's almost $200 for a used version of a $79 device. How come?

Once the circumstances that led directly to the freeze were in motion, I had to rush to freeze the site. Sorry.

Answer: insufficient return on effort. However, this thread is about Google Trader Nigeria.

Check out Google Trader Nigeria, Google Nigeria's answer to Dealfish Nigeria, Tradestable Nigeria, and our recently frozen sister site, Nairalist.  What do you think?

@jajad: Actually, with MySQLdb, the two are actually equivalent because row objects can be indexed like dictionaries, but this does not apply to pymysql. Oops.

AC Milan Fan Thread - bump!

@jajad: this:

#Consolidate user detail queries
def userDetails(email):
    results = runQuery("select id, availablenaira,nairabalance,dollarbalance from x_user where email =%s;", (email,))
    rr = {}
    rr["id"] = results[0][0]
    rr["availablenaira"] = results[0][1]
    rr["nairabalance"] = results[0][2]
    rr["dollarbalance"] = results[0][3]
    return rr

Is equivalent to:

#Consolidate user detail queries
def userDetails(email):
    return runQuery("select id, availablenaira,nairabalance,dollarbalance from x_user where email =%s;", (email,))[0]

Yes. This is a stupid question.

You’ve got the best personality and are an absolute pleasure to be around. You love to make new friends and be outgoing. You are a great flirt and more than likely have a very attractive partner

Yeah, no, not accurate at all.

@wassolldas: Interesting. Good luck!
@jajad: Good luck!

If no one is working on this contest, then I'd like to cancel it, because I'm yet to get any entries.
