@MissyB: He's a rich and famous movie star. Of course there's someone willing to marry him. |
Where do jobs come from? In my opinion, jobs ultimately come from: Human problems: Medical doctors have jobs because people get sick. IT Engineers have because computers are so confusing. Generator engineers have job because we have no power. Policemen have jobs because crime exists. Human needs: Lawyers have jobs because people need legal advice and representation. Conductors and taxi drivers have job because people need to travel. Marketers have jobs because companies need revenue. Human desires: Actors, musicians, and writers have jobs because people desire entertainment. Phone sellers have jobs because many Nigerians desire blackberries. Event managers have jobs because people love to party. That is why, when people talk about the alleged shortage of jobs in Nigeria, I get confused. Have we run out of problems that need to be solved? Have all our needs been catered for? Do we not have unlimited desires anymore? Then how can there be a job shortage? Well, in my opinion, there are two possibilities: Inadequate Education/Training: If the vast majority of job-seekers are not equipped to solve the problems that need to be solved in the country, the unemployment rate will be high. If we have a high demand for engineering work, but our universities are producing Yoruba studies graduates, then they may not get jobs. It's not that the jobs are not there, but that our educational institutions have failed to equip adequately us for the jobs available. Labor Market Failure: Sometimes a potential employer may not realize that his/her problems could be solved by employing someone. Sometimes an employer realizes it, tries to create a job, but can't find the right candidate for the job. The potential employer and the potential employee simply fail to find each other. Sometimes they do, but a labor unions, restrictive regulation, or cultural issue blocks them, and a potential job is lost. Since human needs, wants, and problems are unlimited, the potential for job creation in any economy is unlimited, too. If you want to "create jobs", you should embark on sustainable business ventures that address the problems of inadequate training and labor market failure. Go into the business of equipping job-seekers with the skills they need to take the jobs in the market. Go into the business of helping employers find job-seekers who can solve their problems. Teach job-seekers how to talk their way into businesses they can add value to. "Create jobs" by solving problems! https://www.facebook.com/notes/oluwaseun-osewa/how-to-create-jobs/10150400985870216 |
The age of the girl is not important. Do you assault women you're attracted to? Do you kidnap them and force yourself on them repeatedly over a night, leading to physical injuries and psychological trauma? I think the sickness of the act of rape greatly exceeds the issue of her age. I don't think raping a grown woman who is a human being, old enough to understand what you're doing to her, and also someone's girlfriend or wife or mother is in any way less evil than this. ekt_bear: |

GEJ: I am gratified at the news that the International Social Security Association (ISSA) has recognized and awarded Nigeria for the best intervention in reducing Infant and Maternal Mortality in Africa.https://www.facebook.com/jonathangoodluck/posts/278998688817179 |
We don't remove topics from the home page. It's important to leave this thread here as a reminder to the government that a nationwide ban on okadas will not be accepted by Nigerians. However, we can update the to reflect any new information obtained from reliable sources. |
Any business can make you a billionaire if your market is very large, your competition is very weak, you are obsessive enough not to be satisfied with hundreds of millions, and you are very lucky. ![]() |
If we had good alternatives, there would have been no need to ban them. Every good thing has a bad side. |
I don't think we need to feel so bad about being overtaken by LinkedIn. |

Christianity is not hated; it's the most popular religion in the world. The average Christian experiences no persecution whatsoever. |
I support the idea of fighting corruption with resolution, but we should be careful not to create new problems in the process. Unreasonably harsh laws only make criminals more desperate; makes them willing to kill or do anything to escape punishment. The least corrupt countries in the world have laws that are fair, reasonable, and not excessive, but they enforce those laws consistently at all levels. Most countries with harsh laws are very corrupt (China, Saudi Arabia). |
What? This question is more suitable for BASIC programmers! |

Poor guy. |
Stupidest idea ever. That's why I hate reading Nigerian news sometimes: the risk of exposure to silly ideas. Like the issue of governors stealing schools it shows a lack of even the smallest atom of respect for private ownership of business. |
What's the price? |
Ok, I'm sorry for calling your comments _, but I'm interested in programmers and not complainers. |
While most of you were busy making _ comments, jajad was busy coding. That's what I like. |
