Look at Naruto and Bleach, the mangas (Japanese comics) that are captivating Nigerians. Their "super-heroes" are ordinary people with super-duper powers. They don't wear masks. Their identities aren't secret.

I don't think our Nigerian comic book heroes have to be anything like the American comic heroes. Manga heroes maybe? Maybe we can introduce the element of religion that's so strong in our culture?

It's good enough for a discussion forum. People have no incentive to lie on that poll.

What about those being left behind because they are not Americans? Are they dogs? Are they not human beings too? So why are "sensitive" people like you not asking for them to be evacuated too? So this is not about sensitivity!

It's about responsibility. The US government has classified those areas as danger zones, yet some people believe that they need to be there. If an emergency arises then those people should be willing to pay. Simple responsibility.

Thanks for sharing the link to Pandora Comics. They seem to be more of artists than storytellers. And all their comics are about super-heroes or crime-fighters. But no prices are listed on their website at the moment. Noted.

Sacking the civil servants if its to make the government efficient then it should be cancelled because it won't fly.

This makes no sense to me.

- Any civil servant that is not needed for the government to function should be sacked as soon as possible.
- Any civil servant that is an enemy of progress should be sacked as soon as possible, regardless of seniority.

The poll as it stands forces you to make a choice. That's what an election is about, afterall.

It's time people learnt to take responsibility for their own actions. If people are rich and responsible enough decide to emmigrate to the middle east, they should be rich and responsible enough to pay for emergency evacuation. People should learn responsibility. It is not ok to rob an entire country for the benefit of a few.

Before you start applauding the US Congress, consider the fact that they are not the ones paying for the evacuation.

Moving to 'Jokes'

Can't they equally read, write and expand their horizons through forums like Nairaland?

Do you know how many jobs have been destroyed by NEPA alone? All the businesses closed down?

If you sack incompetent people, and you replace them with competent people, you create prosperity for everybody. You are loking about the 0.01% of jobs that will be "destroyed". What about the 50% that will be created?

A common mistake we make is making judgements based on what we can see directly (small unemployment today) and not considering what we can't see directly (massive employment tommorrow!).

If the economy is developed such that one job alone can support an entire family because everything works as it should, wouldn't that be lovely? Employment is not the goal of society; it is just a means to an end: prosperity.

I don't know any film editors. Can you tell me about them?
