This is a really good idea as i'm also thinking towards that line. I have started in a little way sourcing for mini contracts in computer installation, networking, configuration and branding. I am thinking towards Cards production as well as ATM installation and maintainance. Though the latter might be capital intensive but i already have the experience having worked with an ATM company for about 3 years.

It depends solely on the aspect of IT you want to venture into. I have been able to identify where my strength lies as I believe this is the first thing you need to consider.

Please dont listen to these marketers here ooooooo and dont you ever, ever spend so much on a cyber cafe business if you dont like heart attack. 10 systems, black and white & colour printer, a suitable broadband network that works very well in your area, photocopier, scanner,4-5KVA generator with some additional services well located in a good area fetches an average of 5-7K daily but you wil be suprised that setting it up bigger than that will not fetch you anything more.

This is my personal experience from cyber cafe business for the last 2 years.

I have seen a lot of comments here that make me laugh.

Cybercafe business is not as lucrative as it has been some years back,but that is not to say it is still not very profitable if well set up and managed.
I have a cyber cafe which i have been running for the past two years.
Now let me inform you about some very important things to take note when setting up a cyber cafe.
Apart from the fact that a good location, Good ISP as well as well as efficient customer service are required. It is also good to note that the cost of running and maintaining a good cyber cafe is enough to make the owner run mad these days.
Imagine running a diesel or petrol, generator for 12-14 hours a day, paying exorbitant subscription fee every month,paying salaries and setting aside money for general monthly maintainance of other equipment like printer, photocopy etc.
Cyber cafe business is the only business I have seen where it is possible to make very good returns without making profit.
The remaining set of people in this business are the ones that have learnt to cut costs on so many things.
For example, I do all the systems repairs and formatting myself, fill the printer inks and toner myself as well as manage the network personally despite the fact that i have a capable hand.
Cyber Cafe business is no longer a business for the Money bags who only spends the money and get other people to manage it for them. You need to be knowledgeable about it and get involved to make a breakthrough.

Right within my vicinity, I can point out about 6 very good and big cyber cafes that have closed down due to these points highlighted.
Bottomline: If you are not knowledgeable in the business, Please let no one persuade you to invest your money in it.

convincing her is just an uphill task.

There is this girl  I asked out some months ago about 8 months after breaking up from my last relationship. I indeed wanted a lasting relationship as I already feel like settling down soon. I truly wanted this girl and she also showed similar signs but from my discussions with her lately , I got to realize  a lot more about her maybe about ladies in general.

When i asked her out, I requested for a serious relationship which she said she would give a good consideration for about two weeks,after the 2 weeks she sent a text message to me that she would like us to be close friends and later take it to the next level in due time.Upon further discussions with her she later opened up that she would just need some time to study me , 

I lost my job in one of the distressed banks in Dec 2009, some months before I met her,after some period of friutless search for another job, I was able to pull resources together to start a Cybercafe business on a medium scale which has been giving considerably good returns for more than 10 months now.

I was surprised yesterday when this Girl mentioned it in our conversation that She would only consider my proposal if I get another job, cos she does not regard the cybercafe i run as a real job, though in 2010, i made almost the same returns from it as my renumeration while in the bank claiming she needs someone who has a "job" and is self sufficient ( at least i have a car and live alone in a 3B/R appartment). she also has a job which she claims does not pay well.
I really dont understand her again. Please is her request justified and does taking up a paid job really translate to being financially sufficient and responsible? though i still wish to get a paid job and combine it with the business but what happens if the paid job doesnt come on time?

i wish to make a decision on this but i wouldnt want to do so without seeking for advice.

Though there are several factors that needs to be taken into consideration like location, network provider, systems configuration, proximity to customer, decline curve management. Though , I've been away from ATM duties for some time because of a bank job I took up after then, I wish to make use of and also build on my experiences on Triton , NCR and Wincor ATMs.
