Except a very careless parent, I don't think the risk of sleeping on thesame bed with your baby is higher than any other cause of children mortality in Africa.

I sleeps on the same bed with my wife and baby, 80% of our consciousness is about the baby beside us. I don't think any good parent will sleep over and suffocate their own baby. If any parent can be that careless, then their carelessness will still kill the baby in other ways apart from sharing same bed.

While PDP/Atiku's lawyers and witnesses are messing up at the presidential level, PDP and the witnesses are messing up in Akwa Ibom.

A gang of armed gunmen remain at large after successfully making off with approximately $40 million worth of gold and other precious metals while posing as federal police officers.

Brazilian authorities are searching for a group of thieves that suavely secured approximately 750 kilograms of gold that was at Sao Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos, Brazil, and peeled off in an imitation police truck. The whole operation took less than three minutes, Reuters reported.

Surveillance footage obtained from the airport shows employees following orders given to them by the four of the eight members of the armed gang, who also donned balaclavas to hide their identities. One worker in particular was tasked with operating a forklift to expedite the heist.


During a Friday press conference, police chief João Carlos Miguel Hueb described the criminals as a “well-organized gang” and asserted that “this certainly wasn’t their first robbery.”

Brazil-based newspaper Globo reported the same group of thieves held a police dispatcher and his family hostage Wednesday night to gain intelligence on how to carry out the heist.

An airport spokesperson confirmed the incident took place and clarified that there were no injuries sustained during the process. The airport rep did not offer any comments on the alleged hostage situation.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate,Atiku Abubakar yesterday continued their defence of petition against President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election with sets of witnesses singing discordant tunes.

Counsel for the petitioners, Dr Livy Uzoukwu, SAN, commenced the activity of the day with the presentation of Alhaji Tanko Bichi, a local government collation agent for PDP in Katsina State for his testimonies.

Bichi, in his evidence in chief alleged that the election in his area was marred by widespread malpractices but could not substantiate the claim when he was crossed-examined.

On his part, Alhaji Salisu Majigiri, Katsina State chairman of the PDP said the result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the state was different from figures collated from the various polling units and wards.

Majigiri, who was also the State Collation Agent for the PDP claimed that the result sheets containing the outcome of the election in the state signed by various party agents again showed that Atiku won in Katsina State.

He alleged that second petitioner (Atiku) scored a total of 905,000 votes while Buhari scored 872,000 votes as against the 160,203 votes and 1,555,633 votes recorded for the contestants respectively by INEC.


Majigiri also explained that the 34 adhoc staff engaged by the electoral commission were substituted with the second respondent’s agents to perfect the rigging.

When crossed examined however, Majigiri was unable to provide cogent insights on how Atiku was rigged out of the election in the state.

Majigiri, also failed to present either an original or duplicate copies of the acclaimed signed election result sheets that reflected Atiku’s victory in the state.[b][/b][i][/i]

The state chairman of the PDP could not also advance reasons why those materials were not brought before the tribunal.



Alhaji Salisu Funtua, another Local Government Collation Agent for PDP, said that INEC had cancelled all the results from polling units and wards where card readers failed.

He said his acceptance to be a witness in the petition stemmed from the widespread cancellation of results emanating from the non use of the card reader to accredit the voters.

Meet Fathia, 12-year-old Nigerian girl who built robot that folds clothes

Fathia Abdullahi, a 12-year-old Nigerian girl, has begun to gain global recognition after she created a laundry-folding robot that folds clothes in “three seconds” — barely a year after she started coding.

According to Reuters, the young programmer started coding at the age of 11.

Fathia also said she designed the robot prototype to fold T-shirts because “there are too much clothes to fold” during the weekends.

She looks to achieve much more with the skill if she pulls through with her dream of becoming a food scientist in the nearest future.

“I made the T-shirt folder because there are too many clothes to fold on Saturdays and Sundays when you wash a lot. I made it using some pins, some beams, and EV3 brick,” Fathia said while responding to questions as regards the motivation for her innovation.

“I started coding at the age of 11. I decided to build the robot because that’s the problem we have at home. We wash clothes and there are always lots of T-shirts to fold.

“I’d love to be a food scientist when I grow up. I’ll be able to use coding to build so many things that would help me.”


Although she had revealed the robot was just a prototype, the talented programmer said she intends to develop the tech for sale to the local market.

Fathia is, however, not the only one who has impressively deployed coding skills into easing everyday house chores.

In a similar bid to “make daily tasks easier”, Oluwatobiloba Owolola, who is also 12, programmed a robot grabber that senses nearby objects and moves them to a more desired location.

On account of his one-time obsession and fondness for coding, the young boy said he looks to carve out a career for himself in robotics engineering.

This is the robot grabber. I programmed it to identify the object, grab it and take it to another position. I started coding when I was ten. I found Lego Robotics interesting that I wanted to do all through,” Oluwatobiloba said.

The duo told BBC Pidgin that “with coding, they can bring whatever they imagine into reality.”
