No formidable party will present him as their candidate again.

Personally i think Peter Obi is the next formidable candidates if he gets his strategy right, like i said b4 he should look out for another formidable candidate in core north to partner with and the presidency is his.

Alphanancy:

Sentiments aside you guys are not giving Obi the credit and accolades he deserves.
A man who started barely eight months ago without a single councillor is putting up this kind of fight against parties with as much as 24 governors, over 200 legislators at the federal level, more than 300 HOA members and councillors across the nation and countless ministers.
Obi should be applauded for changing the dynamics single handedly. I never expected him to win the elections but his outing is a win for me. Now new breed of law makers have emerged from hitherto unknown labour party, just because of one man. He did all this without bribing a single soul.
Make we try get sense.
Cheers

You are very correct, my anslysis came out of expectation people placed on him to magically create wins out of thin air at national level.
For years Buhari had governors, senators etc from ANPP days to CPC days but couldn't reach the national level, Tinubu also had similar experiences he even had governors, senators etc outside his region. National victory takes time and need solid partnership and i belives Obi can reach that hight with this showing.

Even if they upload the result immediately as you said, it is impossible for Obi to win a national election.

I am not saying he is weak personally, he performed fantastically well, but the problem is that you need the North alliance to win election when you are facing the West. He depended too much on Northern christian and ran the most religious bigoted campaign ever but I don't think the Northern christians have that much numbers to offset the Northern votes.

Imagine Atiku/Kwankwanso is not on the ballot, Tinubu would have been getting millions of votes from the North by now. Three muslims shared the vote and they still had excess.

That is why I always tell people, any candidate that run a religious bigoted campaign will never win Nigeria whether he is a muslim or christian. Peter Obi was too confident and threw caution to the wind with the kind of divisive campaign he ran. Even Tinubu with muslim-muslim no do 1/100 of that divisive campaign.

You are very correct, Politics is a game of number and strategy, you must reach out and build bridges to get d numbers. Some time u may not like that person but 4 u to get what u want, u must think beyond emotion, be factual and don't be flattered by people's praises but by d network u made.

Buhari was in a similar condition for 3 election continously winning bulk votes from his region until he reached out to tinubu and they formed aliance.

I believe Obi can make it if he adjust his strategy, look out for the best candidate that can bridge the northern gap like kwakwaso etc and form aliance, u don't need to like that person ( politics is a game of interest not love, no permanent enemy/friend).
However i doubt the people around him will be realistic enough to see all this things.

If Tinubu can reached out to Wike and Seyi just for him to get what he wants, what is the big beal if Obi reached out to kwakwaso or another powerful figure.
Also he needs to stay put at labour party, build and water it for the next election then come out with force.

I think Makinde and Wike are in APC in principle, they are just waiting for d right time to anounce it.

The claim of Southern PDP that they are against the Fulani does not make any sense again if they nominated another Fulani man back to back.

Bro what are u smoking? He was elected former vice president b4, beside this is politic and game of numbers. U build bridges and lias with others to get the numbers. This is what is working for Tinubu even though i don't want him to win not becuase he is incompetent as many are trying to say but because he is too old and all Nigeria's problem is going to be Yoruba for the next 4 years just like all our problem as been Fulani since Buhari took over.

C'mmon Enugu people, this turn-out is way too poor for a state with about 2million registered voters.
angry

That is how it should be statistically, most turn out are usually less than 40% even with tbe northern apetite for voting, they usually don't do upto 50%.
The only time we saw above 50% was during Jonathan and it was from southSouth where he came from, we all know it was cooked up result.

If u see any result above 50% of registered voters, it was cooked.

Exactly, even if there are some little issues here and there but it really shows d voting strengths of each candidates.
The problem is we human always looks for tiny excuses to make claims if things did not go our way.

For me i wish d best man can win and Nigerians should support who ever wins.

It is kind of the fault of our education system and the way the economy is set up

Educated people leave the villages and head out into the cities to look for work and other opportunitues. This leaves those who cannot leave because they are not educated enough.

The main parties build their structures and their support on the people left behind. And since these are the people that the villagers see...not the educated man in the city that may come home once in a year or sometimes in years....they win elections for their main parties.

I don't like it when people call them illiterates for voting APC and PDP.(I reiterate that that is a mistake...something that the Democrats learned the hard way in 2015, and even still make, and something seen to some extent in the UK). APC and PDP are sadly the only parties that at least give a damm. LP? Lord knows I used to live in the North. LP is not to be seen anywhere in the rural areas. If LP at least did some mobilization and came with some ideas that suit the rural areas, or even some of the educated people came home and ran for councillor, and suchlike, or even engaged in local activisim so that people could eventually see that APC and PDP are fake parties who just want power...maybe things might change. But it is hard work, and most of us educated people ain't got time.

LP is also not above using tribe and religion to to woo voters...plus a lot of the educated vote for all three parties on tribal and religious grounds.

At the end, politics in Nigeria is not about issues. I don't consider Atiku, Tinubu or Obi have anything new for Nigerians. At the end, they would just do what has been done year in, year out;;;;over subsidise, take loans to cover the deficit, find jobs for the boys and girls, and the rest of us will complain and grumble as we always do about 'corruption' and look for the next 'hero'.

I wish many of Nigerian youth can think like u.

I know why they rated majority of Nigerian youth as one of the lowest IQ in the world, they don’t look at things critically, they just look at thing in their own perspective and throw tantrums or insult others if they don’t look at it in their own perspective.

I listen to all d candidates and non of them actually profer solution to Nigeria's problem everybody that voted only did based on sentiment and bandwagon effect. Some even voted for senator or house of rep candidates they don’t know.

Any time i point out the flaws of each candidates and why i cannot vote for them, I'm called tribalist by Obi supporters, Yoruba bastard by Tinubu supporter and bigot by Atiku's supporters, to them u can't speak the truth u are supporter of the other opposition.

That 'i can't spend on a woman that's isn't my wife' is very wrong. Lines of an irresponsible man in the making.
Imagine during courtship you don't take care of her. In marriage it will be worse cuz you've subconsciously condition your mind not to meet her needs deliberately.
Though there is limit for everything.

You are actually wrong, it is an irresponsible men that spends excessively on frivolous things which includes ordinary girl on a date, those are the type of men that will spend outside while people at home suffers.
Unfortunately this are the type of men todays women run after and complain about how financially irresponsible their husband is.
