Who ever makes decisions in Glo must be dummy, how can you chose band that phone makers rarely add to their phones, MTN is ahead for a reason and we can see one of the reasons from their choice of 4G band, the 2 bands mtn is using always comes with every phone manufactured by any manufacturer. It is very rare to see any phone without the two bands let alone one but reverse is the case for Glo.

I wonder why people are blaming trade war and China, it is non of this.
The truth is smartphone market has slow down generally for both Android, iPhone or any other types.
Apple's case is extreme because of many factors which are 1) iPhones are uneccessarily expensive 2) apple deliberately compromised their older models to compel people to buy newer version and Apple has been caught which forced Apple to start proving options of replacing the compromised part such as batteries hence their is no need to buy new phone.
The last point is that iPhone is no longer leaders in innovation and feature so they are loosing ground to other phone maker who has better features and cost less.

No they are not at all, the parameters are there for all to see.
The best mediatek chips of 2018 helio p60 barely match snapdragon 660 in all parameters. The only chips catching up fast with Snadragon is Huawei kirin, they are innovative, brings in best technogy, AI, 5G etc but they are always pushed to 2nd place because snapdragon always comes on top from GPU parameters.

Anytime I check tecno spec and prices compare to other phone makers, I just dey vex especially when educated illitrates opens their mouth to say tecno is cheap and affordable, the vex go increase.

Watch out for phantom 9, tecno will not use helio p60, let alone smell Helio P70 or mediatek M70 5G or P90 series, those ones are reserved for 2022 phantom.

Even if you want to judge based on camera, let your judgment be genuine not based on marketing lies.
Most of the people shouting camera here are tecno agents who are bent on deceiving people, even the megapixel slam on this phone is a big lie because mediatek said the chips tecno used can't support tecno's claim.

@ bolded I don't argue much with people on nairaland and Nigerians in particular, we really don't reaserch things and we talk authoritative with our superficial knowledge about things.
Average Nigerians only comment on things based on emotions, sentiment or who put money in their bank account. We are not trained from school or our typical home to research things and seek more knowledge.

The issues with smartphone is that:
1) The sales has continue to slow down year in year out, people don't really need to buy smartphone every year again and Chinese market that happens to be the biggest smartphone consumer has slow down the consumption.
2) It is highly competitive, smaller manufactures are eating deep into the natural space of the bigger boys like Samsung and they are doing it efficiently unlike Samsung and Co. For instance OPPO and Xiaomi does not have base in every country, they do online with limited marketing instead they use referral, this has reduced their cost.
3) Small manufacturers has closed the gap between themselves and big boys like Samsung, their is not much difference so Samsung needs a lot of innovation to differeciate themselves from others which is costing too much and it raising Samsung price over the roof. What insulates apple from this serious competition is the uniqueness of ios and they can't be immune for long, in fact it has started affecting Apple sales in terms of units while revenues is is up because Apple increased the price of their product.

All in all, Samsung is quietly following the path of Sony and LG who have shifted focus to more profitable venture where they are unique and no one can compete with them for now.

Go and research deep, Samsung is leaving smartphone business behind the same reason Sony is left it behind.

Samsung is the major innovator in the smartphone industry. Most companies look to Samsung for go ideas.

Huawei does not innovate. Huawei has never innovated. They steal Intel instead. And always do and try to claim glory for it.

So yes Sammy is number one for a reason. Innovation.

Sammy has not stolen Intel in the recent years and they don't need to.

LOL, Huawei does not innovate You assume too much, Huawei files the largest patent for intellectual property in the past few years. Huawei is the most innovative telecom campany in the last 3 years while Samsung has been in decline. In fact Samsung is shifting it's attention away from smartphone and their area of specialization now is semiconductors.

The problem I see with many people including you is that we so much depend on western media and western media is filled with repetitive propaganda words so much that it has clouded our judgment more than we want to admit. The reality is west knows their media is good and they use it to fight different power challenging their dominance in different aspect.
For instance if we hear of Russia, what we think is Nation that can't innovate, bad economy, aggressor, lacking behind where as it is opposite.
China a cumunist nation, autocratic government, religious persicutor, lack freedom, intellectual property theft etc where as it is not so. I can mention so many area.

You are wrong, the rules says any company willing to setup in China must submit IP but Chinese government did not force any company to set up in China. Most of this organization ways the benefit VS cost b4 they set up in China.
However you have systematically ignored the evidence I gave u about several intellectual theft involving your favorite Samsung.

You can't single out Huawei while you close your eyes to Samsung, funny enough Samsung has been convicted more than 8 times in the last 10 years for stealing intellectual property, as at today Samsung still has another $5 billion worth of IP case with Apple in court despite paying close $8 billion to apple for IP theft while Huawei has never been convicted except US 5G war against them.

Apple also stole Sony Ericson design even though Sony did not challenge Apple but Snapdragon is challenging Apple for intellectual property stolen for Apple Abionic chips.
