Mr Seun. Is it normal for my pregnant dog to starting shedding? is it part of pregnancy symptoms?
Provided you're not seeing any other symptoms and she appears healthy, please put your mind at rest

Good Evening Dr Seun,
My dog is always scratching his body, face, ears (I noticed yellowish dry stuff in his ears which I cleaned up) and licking his paws. The skin around one of his underarms is red and has dried yellowish stuff at the root.
Good evening, I'm suspecting mite infestation. Get Armitraz bath and follow manufacturer's instruction. Then you'll get antibiotics for the ear infection. You may need to routinely deworm your pet. The antibiotics should be under your Vet's prescription but you can dm me if you don't have any

My dog has been itching his ears. I got endi ear cleanser but it only gives him temporary relief. I doubt it’s ear mites because he’s on Bravecto and I read the drugs handles that too.
He’s a Lhasa apso. Will be 1 year this month.
Good evening sir, sincerely I'll advise you place him on antibiotics since you've ruled out ear mites, these antibiotics would be effective against bacterial ear infection like otitis. Your Vet would guide you on the best antibiotics for you pet

What sweets a man is if his wife loves him unconditionally no matter his occupation or income.
He will never forget her when he is very comfortable.
Most times when ladies complain I dated him for 7years and he has left me
Most of those 7yrs the men were abused, insulted and dehumanized, men will just be quiet and wait for there turn to reciprocate
Confirm!!!! I wish I can share this in all platforms. Most women would never tell people the negative things they did to the poor man that made him react that way. This reminds me of a story of a woman who sells food in my area. The woman was obviously the bread winner because her canteen was a standard one while the husband wasn't too okay because most times he is always there and assists in pounding yam. Could you believe that this woman brings men to the same canteen and frolic with them in her husbands presence, the man dares not say anything. Infact she was even complaining to her friend openly that during the weekend men outside will do their own (sex) and during the week when she is suppose to rest, her husband too would come and say he wants to do!!!. If that man blows tomorrow and the first thing he does is to kick his wife out of the house, the world would say he is ungrateful, that his wife "stood by him" when he had nothing etc. But did she really "stood" by him!!!

He is right, it's shouldn't be used for pups under 4 months. Then we need to go for systemic treatment. Visit your Vet, he will guide you better

Alright sir, please i also have a pressing issue.

As at on Saturday one of my Boerboel puppies that was vaccinated for the first time and dewormed suddenly stopped eating, she had i gave her golden morn and milk with booster dry food mixed together she didn't eat only tasted it and then left it, i also noticed live worms in her stool same as other puppies since their deworming on Saturday last week. But other puppies are eating very fine and healthy as well only that one has the issue .(i noticed once the mum comes in contact with the puppies she wants to drink more of breast milk but the mum isn't producing any milk again so that's a problem. I honestly dont know what to do , my bet suggested i give her Zentel 5ml single dose to help the deworming process. What's ur suggestion sir? She's really losing weight soooo bad due to lack of food
since your Vet placed her on Zentel single dose, let's be observant for 3 days if there is any improvement. Update me as it goes

Yes he is certified and has been my vet doc for a year now , my only worry is i have never seen such method before because normally they just chop it off and stich it up but using rubber band to cut off blood supply throughout the tail is something new to me tho. But if you say it's another good method then my mind would be at rest , rn I'm super worried. He said it will fall off in 3 to 4days by it self with no blood
Put your mind at rest sir, all is well

Hi good afternoon,
My 11wks Gsd vomited a foamy white mucus-like substance with smelly poop 2 days ago, I told the vet what I observed and he said Parvo
He started treating with him, and said he would give him an IV yesterday, but the moment the vet left on Wednesday, he was active and barking although with a limp in the leg where he was injected. He is even walking fine now, no limp at all and received another injection today. Good morning sir, I'm so sorry sir, I thought I had responded to this message. I'll suggest you go to a Veterinary hospital for thorough examination. This is for you to be on the safe side. I'll be on standby
He ate a little food later that evening with the advice of the vet since he hasnt eaten for close to 24hours, and he didn't vomit the food.
Now the vet ruled out Parvo and he reduced his treatment days to 3 days but my concern now is, he has lost appetite for food again today, he ate yesterday, the whole can. And his poop was normal and not smelly.
But today he won't even touch his food at all only drank water, just lying down with a little rumbling in his stomach every few minutes but will bark if there is a knock on the gate.
Should I be worried or is it the injections that is making him weak and with little appetite. Thanks

Mr Seun Good evening

I want to ask just to be sure my vet is doing the right thing tho.

I have about 6 pups which are 6week+ old and he advice i cut their tails which he came over to do today but he advice we do it a different way cuz i didn't want to see my pups hurting honestly, he used rubber band to tie the point of amputation and then injected them with something i think a pain relief. He said it will fall off by it self with no blood in 3-4 days , Is that an alternative way that works?

If any advice I'll appreciate
Good morning sir, once you can confirm that he is a qualified and registered veterinarian, then put your mind at rest. Such amputate method is possible but requires a skilled and qualified practitioner, that's why I wanted you to confirm sir. I'll be on standby

I am a nurse can I give my dogs vaccines by my self if yes please what is the name of the injections and where do I buy them ?
Good morning ma, trust your day is fine. In the veterinary profession, things are not done that way or else you would fall into the hands of quacks. Firstly, those vaccines are not over the counter drugs, they require a veterinary license for it to be sold, secondly you'll need a vaccination card for your dog, which follows a specific schedule, this you can only get in a registered Vet clinic/hospital. In conclusion it better you go to the nearest Vet clinic and let the Vets handle your pet or else you'll fall into the hand of quacks

MR Seun. Please I want to ask if it's okay for my male and female Eskimo to be mating everyday. The female is on her heat period and my male dog has been crossing her since she has been receptive. To my own knowledge I have seen them mate like 5 times in 5 days. Hope it won't get too much. And if I keep them separately the male gets unrest. Please I need your advice
It's okay provided you don't observe any adverse effects

Dr Seun Good morning. I read almost 15 pages and you're awesome. I have an 11 week Male German shepherd and I'm having an issue with ticks, I took him to the vet 2 weeks ago and he told me he gave him an Injection. I traveled with him for 5days when I got home 3days ago I noticed ticks in his coat, I found out because he was itching badly. I gave him a normal bath and spray him enough with Fipronil Xtreme Hyperwiper I got and after 24hours+ now I can still see few. I used sniper for indoor and where he is sleeping. I can still see few around. And I fumigate my house a month ago.

Any advice for me to do, I hate ticks with passion
Thank you
Good evening sir, thanks for the compliment really appreciate. First of all cover all holes and crevices then refumingate, secondly get Simprica®or Bravecto® tablet and administer based on manufacturer's instruction, then continue with your Fipronil, you can also bathe once in 2 weeks as you've done. I'll be on standby for updates

Question 1
also i thought parvo was airborne wont it have the possibility of returning to the environment even after fumigation?

Question 2
I'm currently giving her vitamin E immed she gave birth i started giving her Vitamin E capsules (2 capsules daily) I'll add vitamin C do i get the regular vitamin C or what do u suggest
Fumigation can solve the problem, even in airborne infection fumigation helps because of the airborne droplets of the chemical agents when sprayed, although parvo isn't airborne. On number 2, you're on point continue

Multivitamins especially Vitamin C and fruits for instance carrots mixed with rice. Don't waste money on advertised immune boosters. I'll be on standby

First of all Mr seun i want to specially appreciate u on how strong and steady u handle this thread also want to appreciate your time and effort, i read through ur thread and i was wowed how well u took ur time to answer almost all questions with proper advice.

I want to ask a vital question, How can one prevent Parvo in dogs? I lost 1 of my pup(GSD) last 2 months to parvo and the funniest part of it is i dont take the pup out at all , the second dog(Boerboel) got it prior to having the GSD fortunately she was cured but that was months ago so i was wondering how and why my GSD got it when it doesn't go out. Tho the Boerboel goes out on walks could it be she was the carrier and since she's immune to it as being a victim of parvo before then transmitted it to the GSD. Cuz now the Boerboel gave birth and I'm really scared of the Parvo thing so it doesn't get to its puppies
Thanks so much for the compliment, it's comments like this that encourages more efforts. First of all, your suspicion is correct, she may be a carrier. First thing first is for you to evacuate and scrupulously fumingate and disinfectant the whole environment and surrounding, explain to them what you are fumigating against so that they will know the appropriate chemical agent to use. Then ensure good nutrition and immune booster for your remaining pets, then ensure the suspected carrier is taken to the clinic for proper medical attention. I'll be on standby

Sorry for the long message doctor i just got a gsd and not really impress with the size she will be 2 months at dec 15th. A friend advise me to administer mect izan to my dog to get rid of tick.I would have gone to a pet shop to buy a spray or normal medicine and can i also use rambo powder because i am a little far from city and it will take a week before i enter lagos again and does tick make a dog look malnourished we feed her dog indomie and egg and add milk to the food during preparation then add crayfish on top.How effective is dermacur.can i give my dog normal human cod liver as a daily supplement.
Please don't use Rambo powder, it's dangerous. Get Bravecto® it's very effective, then clear your surroundings. You can also use Amitraz® too it's also effective and ensure you follow manufacturer's instructions
