Indigenous Nigerian rapper, Owoh Chimaobi popularly known as Zoro has now taken legal action against lady who accused him or raping her.

Few days ago, an Instagram user with the username mystic_sweetness accused Nigerian rapper, Zoro of sexually assulting her some years ago.

According to her, Zoro raped her on 20th April 2015 in Magodo at the house of a mutual friend.

She wrote,




"I just thought I should share this…. @zoroswagbag in April 20th 2015, at your friend’s house in Magodo CMD road, I followed my sister to come visit your friend(KOKO) whom you were squatting with then, and you asked me out which I told you I will think about it, after an hour of just meeting you, you called me into your room because you claimed you wanted to talk to me in private, how gullible I was to think it was just going to be a decent conversation with you, when I got into your room, you started forcing yourself on me to have sex with me, after struggling with you for over 30mins you overpowered me and raped me!!! You are a rapist! And I’m done struggling with the trauma and pain you put me through."




Zoro had since denied the rape allegations and now revealed he has taken legal actions against the alleged rape victim. In a recent tweet, Zoro wrote,




"Dear Fans, Further to my last post, my team (legal and management) and I have reported the rape allegation leveled against me to the Nigeria Police."

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi has reacted to allegations of rape against him.

The alleged victim, simply identified as Princess, on Wednesday took to her Twitter page @Jayamah22, accusing Peruzzi of raping her.

According to her, the music star forcefully had sex with her sometime in 2012.

She disclosed that she decided to make it known publicly because of the experiences of rape victims being shared online.

“One time in 2012, I can’t really remember the date and the month. But I accompanied a friend “Aisha” to 1004. As at then, I think she had a thing with Peruzzi, I accompanied her there and we spent a night that day and I stayed in the same room with Aisha and Peruzzi.

“In the night, he started touching me without my consent, I tried to tell him that it was wrong and besides he has a girlfriend lying in between. So I left the room and went to sleep in the mini parlour upstairs, I had to leave the room because I was not comfortable anymore.

“Deep asleep, I felt someone trying to unbuckle my pants and then I woke up. And I’m like ‘Peruzzi can’t do that, it is wrong’, that is when we started struggling and he was ‘PRESSING ON MY NECK’

“Told me I should chill that he likes me, all this kind of shit and I’m like Yo! “I’M NOT INTERESTED.”

“At that point, struggling was very stressful, you know he tore my underwear and he raped me,” her tweet read.

But, reacting in a post on his Twitter page, Peruzzi described the allegations making the rounds as false.

He announced that he has never raped anyone.

Amotekun Arrests 4 Suspected Burglars In Osun

Four suspected burglars were, on Sunday, arrested by men of the Amotekun Corps in Ila Odo, Odo Otin Local Government Area of Osun State.

The leader of the gang, Sola Taiwo, two other members and their spiritualist were accused of attacking the house of a resident about two weeks ago and stealing many items, including a mobile phone.

The Director-General of the Amotekun Corps in the state, Mr Amitolu Shittu, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects, told our correspondent that his men were able to get Taiwo when he refused to pay a commercial sex worker after a romp and the lady seized a phone from him.

Shitttu said after the sex worker was apprehended, she was asked to call the suspect to come for the phone.

He stated, “The ring leader of the gang is Sola Taiwo, aka Shadow. Amotekun undercover agents had trailed him for about two weeks after his gang successfully burgled a house in Ila Odo.

“Taiwo had visited a sex worker and after a romp, he refused to pay her and the lady seized a phone he stole at the house he burgled a few days earlier.

“Our men got the sex worker and asked her to call Taiwo for him to come for the phone. Our men eventually arrested him when he showed up to collect the phone.

“He later led us to two other members of the gang namely, Samson Adedokun and Kazeem Saka. We also arrested one Rafiu Azeez, who is their herbalist. All the suspects except the herbalist were known as tailors in the town, but they are armed robbers as well.”

Shittu said items recovered from the suspects included an android phone and many charms.

He added that the suspects had been handed over to the police for further investigation.

The president of Madagascar, Andrew Rajoelina has revealed in a recent video that he has been offered twenty million dollars ($20 million) to put an end to the production of the country’s COVID-19 drugs.
President Rajoelina went on to insist that the herbal remedy called ‘COVID Organics’ made from Artemisia can cure COVID-19 patients within ten days. Recall WHO has rejected the vaccine with claims that it has to pass some rigororus tests before being accepted.

Also appearing on France 24 News, Rajoelina said that the only reason the rest of the world had refused to take the herbal cure seriously and with respect was that it came from Africa.

“I think the problem is that (the drink) comes from Africa and they can’t admit… that a country like Madagascar… has come up with this formula to save the world.

Nigeria’s president Mohammadu Buhari has revealed his position regarding the use of herbal or traditional medicine to treat COVID-19 patients.

According to the president who made this known via his twitter handle, COVID-19 herbal or traditional medicines will not be used in Nigeria unless approved by NAFDAC and WHO.

In his words, "My position regarding all herbal or traditional medicines is that any such formulations should be sent to the statutory regulators for thorough scientific verification. We will not put anything to use in Nigeria without the endorsement of our regulatory institutions.”

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) says no health worker in Nigeria has received any life insurance from the federal government.

Abdurafiu Adeniji, president of NANNM, said almost 1000 nurses and midwives have been exposed to COVID-19 while about 200 are in isolation.

He said our health system is on the verge of being overhelmed. He also said that about 70 nurses and midwives have tested positive for COVID-19 and 200 others in isolation while 15 health workers have lost their lives to the disease.

“Over two thousand Nigerian health care professionals, especially nurses and doctors, have been exposed to COVID-19 while about 15 health care professionals have lost their lives,” Adeniji said.

“Our health care system appears to have been over-stretched and on the verge of being overwhelmed.

“The statistics as received through NANNM COVID-19 situation report room, almost one thousand nurses and midwives have been exposed to coronavirus, out of which about 200 are currently on isolation and about 70 out of about 600 that have been tested have tested positive. On the whole, about six nurses and midwives have lost their lives.

“There are also increase assaults on the nurses and midwives, hiding of medical/travel history as well as non-disclosure of contact with an infected individual when patient and relative present at the health care facilities.

“These further expose frontline health care professionals to infections, particularly COVID-19 in our resource constraint society.

“As we are talking, go and ask professional associations like Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), nurses, who are most affected, as at the last count, when we are saying about 15 people have died, the NMA alone was claiming 7 or 8.

“Nurses that are affected as of this morning are more than 250. This is not including the people that are in isolation. More than 25 percent of the total fatality from COVID-19 VID-19 are actually health workers.”

On the health insurance that the federal government said it has put in place for health workers, he said the government is merely paying lip service.

“The insurance that the federal government claimed to have put in place, I want to say unequivocally and without fear of retribution that what is on ground in Nigeria is just abracadabra,” he said.

“Concerning the life insurance, no health worker has ever filled any form. If the N11 billion is somewhere, I am sure that the federal government is keeping it.

U.S President Donald Trump on Thursday  expressed displeasure in China insisting that he could cut off the world’s largest trading relationship, amid rising tensions about the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking in an interview with Fox Business Network, the US President said he has a “very good relationship” with Chinese President Xi Jinping, but “right now, he doesn’t want to speak to him.”

“There are many things we could do, we could cut off the whole relationship.

”I am very disappointed in Beijing for its failure to stop the virus at the source.
“It was either stupidity, incompetence or it was deliberate,” he added.

He further state that he is not interested in reopening talks with China on the phase-one trade deal agreed with Beijing earlier this year, which had served as a ceasefire in a brewing trade war.

Donald Trump also accused the Chinese Government of  making attempts to steal U.S. research on coronavirus vaccines and treatments.

Speaking also, Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, called on the Chinese Government to cease the malicious activity of trying to hack the US organizations working on a virus response.

He said “The United States condemns attempts by cyber actors and non-traditional collectors affiliated with the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to steal U.S. intellectual property and data related to COVID-19 research.

“The PRC’s behavior in cyberspace is an extension of its counterproductive actions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”

He also accused the Chinese Government of continuing to silence scientists, journalists, and citizens, while spreading disinformation, which has exacerbated the dangers of this health crisis.

The president of Namibia, President Hage Geingob on Thursday issued a bill placing a five-year ban on buying new cars for top politicians and government officials in support of the country’s fight against coronavirus.
In his statement, Hage Geingob said “has directed that the vehicle fleet of the Namibian government will not be renewed for the period 2020-2025,” presidential spokesperson Alfredo Hengari announced in a statement.

“No new vehicles will be purchased for members of the executive and public office bearers in the Namibian government.”

He said the decision would save some 200 million Namibian dollars (US$10.7 million), which will be directed “to urgent priorities, specifically at a time when the country is dealing with the health and economic implications of COVID-19”

Two US security agencies piled further pressure on Beijing Wednesday by saying Chinese hackers were attempting to steal intellectual property related to treatments.

“China’s efforts to target these sectors pose a significant threat to our nation’s response to COVID-19,” the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said.

Neither agency offered evidence to support the allegation.

A vaccine could allow countries and economies to fully re-open from lockdowns and potentially earn millions of dollars for its creators.

But the WHO said the virus may never be wiped out entirely.

“This virus may become just another endemic virus in our communities and this virus may never go away,” said Michael Ryan, the global health body’s emergencies director in Geneva.
