A GOLD

One of my favourites Scriptures is Job 23:10 "But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold" This scripture may look simple, but it's really really deep and carries so much things you can never understand, until you personally have its true life experiences. What am I saying?. The scripture says that "in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth". The dividing line between those who are vessels of GOLD, and those who are vessels of WOOD or EARTH is FIRE. GOLD, WOOD and EARTH passed through different refining processes. What you see and now call gold passed through some fire process, before it became the real gold. But you don't need any fire process to make a wooden item, neither do you need fire to make a clay (earthy) pot, for instance. Before you can become a gold, we must test your faith, your patience and your growth. I mean before the heavens can make you stand out in your generation, to be and live the life of an Eagle, you will have to pass through fire test. The Fire test is a period of PAINFUL PATIENCE. It is a period of 'STUPID' FAITH in God. It is a period of GROWTH TEST IN PREPARATION FOR YOUR GLORIOUS DESTINY.
Job was having the Fire test when he said, "....When he has tried me, i shall come forth as gold". I know you know what Job went through at a point in his life. At the end, he indeed became a gold. He became very great. He stood out among his peers.
Talking about Isaac, there was a time of famine in the land of Gerar. And I guessed Isaac was already thinking of leaving for Egypt where he perceived a relief, a greener pastures, before God instructed him not to do so, but to stay. He obeyed God foolishly. The end story was that "Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:", Gen. 26:12-13. In the midst of famine, Isaac became very wealthy and great. Isaac did not stop at becoming great, but he became very great. But did you notice the price he paid before he became very great? Look at the scripture well, it says Isaac went further, and he grew. Yes, Isaac went further from being a vessel of wood and earth to become GOLD. He was submissive to Growth test. Today, there are people who stopped growing just after tasting some bits of God's power, favour or blessings in their lives. They actually stopped at the stage of WOOD AND EARTH, not moving further to becoming a GOLD in their generation.
Can you pay the price? How much can you look stupid for God and his standards for your life? How much are you ready to grow?. And how much can you be patient to be refined into a gold, before you are released into your world? Do you give a recognition to family tradition or human culture, rather than living by Kingdom principles? Do you work by sight, rather than faith? How responsive are you to the growth processes God wants to take you through, so that you can be fit into his perfect plan? Can you pay the fire test to become an Eagle, not living an average life or life of mediocrity? Make your choice. "In my house there are vessels of GOLD, of WOOD and of EARTH". All depends on the price they can pay.

I AM REALLY PISSED OFF

Seriously, we need to get things right. Why do we serve God? Why do we go out to preach Christ to sinners? Why do we go out to share Church handbills to people out there? What is really Evangelism? But how do we see Evangelism? What is our motive behind Evangelism? Are we evangelising Christ or our denominations?
You may not like to hear this truth i have to say here. Many times we are actually promoting our denominations, while we think we are serving God. We go out there and share flyers to people without preaching Jesus Christ to these people. Many things we do in the house of God are consciously or unconsciously promoting our denomination, rather than bringing souls into the kingdom of God. The most unfortunate is that we don't even know that we are not yet adding anything meaningful to God's kingdom. Ignorance is very bad oooo. We are just doing activities, but we think we are serving God.
These days i see Christians who are serving God because of material or financial substances. I see Christians who are serving God after hearing one overwhelming testimony of financial breakthrough by somebody in the Church. I see Christians who suddenly received a zeal to go out there and preach Jesus to people after hearing some great testimonies of financial or material signs and wonders in the church. Funny enough, when they now go out, they just share their church flyers inviting these people to their denomination without doing the real job which is preaching salvation in Christ. Seriously, i feel really pissed off. Nowadays, what I see is marketing Christians, not evangelical Christians. I used to be a victim of this sometime ago, until one day when I asked myself: "Am I really evangelising or promoting my denomination?" And then I told myself the bitter truth that day. I want to win souls into the kingdom, not increasing the members in my denomination.
Listen, I am not against sharing flyers. What i stand against is going out there to share your church flyers without preaching repentance of sin and salvation in Jesus Christ. In fact, telling them about Jesus should be the first thing to do. God first. I stand against promoting your denomination, rather than promoting the CHURCH-THE BODY OF CHRIST.
I am pissed off if you decided to go out there to even preach Jesus to people, because you want financial breakthrough similar to what you heard from somebody's testimony in the Church. Why should you serve God because of that?. Why do people suddenly have the zeal to share flyers or serve in one department in Church because of material testimonies? Why do Pastors cajole or pressure people to serve God or witness Christ because of financial testimonies? Does the scripture not say we should walk by faith and not by what we see?
As for me, I just want to serve God because i just love serving Him. I just want God to give me unceasing passion for souls. I want to just win souls for God, just because i just want to win souls for God. And I think that's the true "SERVING GOD".

Religion / It Will Crumble by Seyibabalola(m): 11:35pm On Apr 16, 2016
IF THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR BUSINESS, MINISTRY OR CAREER WAS NOT STIRRED BY THE LORD, THE BUILDING WILL CRUMBLE.

In our zeal to express our gifts, to live our visions, and be fulfilled in life, we struggle to fix ourselves into certain companies, organizations, fellowships or ministries as guided by our instincts that such establishments would help. But sooner or later, we failed in the race and everything crumbled. We could not find anymore bit of strength to move on with such establishments. If you find yourself in this situation, please, take a critical look back at the foundation of the journey. Check if your decision to start or join in the business, the profession or the ministry was at first stirred by the Holy Spirit. Check if it was a charge from the Lord. There is 80% probability that you have been doing what you were not at first led by God to do. This is how to know if what you want to do or about to do is God's will or not: If you have peace in your heart, go for it. If you don't find that peace in your inside, don't be heavy or reluctant to drop the decision. IF THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR BUSINESS, MINISTRY OR CAREER WAS NOT STIRRED BY THE LORD, THE BUILDING WILL CRUMBLE. If it was stirred by the Lord, it will never crumble, because "faithful is He that calleth you, who will also do it".
In Ezra 1, we are told that the spirit of King Cyrus of Persia was stirred by the Lord to build a house for the Lord in Jerusalem. Do you know that this building project succeeded? King Cyrus had all the human and material supports he needed to build the house. Many rose up and volunteered to give him vessels of silver, gold, their energy and all king of goods. Only God could do this.
Yes, there can be challenges, even when you are doing what you were told by God to do. But the good news is that that business or profession or ministry will not crumble or die down.
Wait for the vision. Though it tarries, it will surely come. Let your spirit be stirred by the Lord, before you go into the business or ministry or profession. We struggle to enter into our purpose, we run out of strenght and resources and face out quickly because we were at the beginning not stirred by God to begin the course. Don't decieve yourself. You could feel no peace in your heart, as you intend to take up the course. That was actually a signal that if you went into it, it would soon crumble.
LET GOD LEAD YOU ALWAYS. "FAITHFUL IS HE THAT CALLETH YOU WHO WILL ALSO DO IT"- 1 Thess. 5:24. "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain"-Psalm 127:1.

Religion / Dirty Job by Seyibabalola(m): 12:41pm On Apr 09, 2016
Dirty Job

I critically looked into the account of Moses smitting the rock in the wilderness to bring out water for the thirsty and dying children of Israel. Yes, we have been taught by many preachers that Moses committed the sin of unbelief by smitting the rock twice, instead of once, or probably by smitting the rock with anger. No doubt, he committed unbelief. But the challenge many of us have here is that we don't know what surrounded his unbelief. I mean, we do not actually know what Moses did not believe in which made him to do a dirty job by hitting the rock twice or probably by hitting the rock with anger.
MOSES ACTUALLY NEVER BELIEVED THAT WATER WAS MEANT TO COME FROM THE ROCK IN THE WILDERNESS. HE DIDN'T BELIEVE IN THE ROCK AS THE NORMAL SOURCE OF SOLUTION TO THIRST. The children of Israel had been brought to a place where there was no seed, figs, vines, pomegranates, and even water to drink. They started complaining and blaming Moses for bringing them into this wilderness. While they were still talking, shouting, complaining and lamenting, the Rock which had solutions to their problem was right there before their eyes. But none of them could figure that out or ever imagine that. Even after God had told Moses to take his rod and smite the Rock to give out water, he still did not believe. Look at this, "And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?"-Num.20:30. If he had believed that no other source of water God had in mind for them in the wilderness, except the Rock, he would have not made that statement. If he had believed that the rock was the normal solution to their thirst, he wouldn't have made that statement and then he would not have smitten the rock twice or with anger. Listen, in your difficult times, there is a Rock waiting for you. It may not look like what you have been expecting, but it has been prepared for you long ago to provide all your needs. The solutions to our challenges most times don't look like what we have pictured in our minds. But if only you can believe and act on what God told you, you will have your heart desires.
There was no other way the Israelites were meant to or could have been fed with water in the wilderness, except the Rock (Jesus - John 7:38 "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water"wink. But the unbelief of Moses in a rock (common stone) being the prepared and normal ( abnormal in Moses's perception) source of solution to the thirst of the people made him to do a dirty job by hitting the rock twice or probably with anger. "....must we fetch you water out of this rock?"-Num.20:10. This statement shows that Moses did not believe the Rock to be the normal source of the dearly needed solution. The consequence of his unbelief and dirty job was that he did not enter the promise land.
Your unbelief will make you do a dirty job. Doing a dirty job is doing the right thing with a wrong perception or doing the right thing in the wrong way or doing what you are not called to do. Uzzah did a dirty job by holding the ark of God with his hands and was smitten to death. Nadab and Abihu, the two sons of Aaron, did a dirty job by offering a strange fire to God and they were instantly consumed by fire.
Is it that job that doesn't look like it? Is it that young man or lady that does not look like it? Is it that step that doesn't look like the solution? If it doesn't look like it but you have heard God that it is, believe it. That is your rock, the answer to your needs.

Religion / Running With Patience by Seyibabalola(m): 10:59pm On Mar 29, 2016
Running with Patience

Have you ever seen runners in an athlete running with patience all through the race? Even some who start the race in a patient speed soon run fast to outrun others and get to the stop line first. Yea, that's how it works in an earthly race, if you want to win the prize. But in the race of PURPOSE, such running principle or attitude does not work, if you want to win.Scripture says, " Let us run with patience the race that is set before us"-Heb. 12:1. "How could God tell me to run with patience. There is no time, i need to get there fast. I can't wait any longer. My mates are already hitting it real big. They think they are greater than me, and you are saying I should be patient" These are things that go through people's minds. But let me first tell you that God works totally opposite to things that are reasonable to humans. His ways are not humanly reasonable.
Listen, the race of PURPOSE is not a competitive race, unlike earthly race. Everyone has his own stop mark and his own prize. So, it's not about who gets there first. It's not about who builds a house first, who buys a car first, who marries first, or who gets a job first. We are not going to the same destination, unlike in earthly race where everyone is to arrive at the same place. And let me tell you this: THE GREATER YOUR DESTINATION, THE MORE PATIENCE YOUR RACE REQUIRES.
God is more concerned about you running the race well than you getting there quickly. Those who get there quickly but ran the race bad end up wounded, battered and not getting the best from God. This is another reason you need to run with patience. In the race of fulfilling your glorious destiny, you are to take your each step after God's. He is there to teach you how to take your steps, show you pitfalls to avoid, encourage you to continue when you feel weak or weary and make you blind to distractions. Running your race well matters very much to getting to the stop line at the appointed time and receiving the prize. The stop line for you is a unique one. It is different from other people's. So, you have no business in questioning why your own line has to take you years to arrive. Everything is been made perfect by God. You have no business in knowing when or why you are just getting to your own line of building houses, buying exotic cars, having big money in your bank account, owning landed properties, traveling overseas or getting married.
There is a need for patience to fulfill your God's given destiny. You have to be patient. Hebrews 10:36: "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" Hebrews 6:12: "That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises" James 1:4: "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing". Let patience have its way, so that you can receive the best in life. BE PATIENT!

Religion / Are You Ephraim? ....a Must Read by Seyibabalola(m): 2:09pm On Mar 28, 2016
ARE YOU EPHRAIM? .....A Must Read

I took a brief study of a man called Ephraim in the Bible. Ephraim was the second born of Joseph. His elder brother, the first born of Joseph, was Manasseh. Ephraim's later life which is the core of this message is a story of Wind chasing, Manipulations, and Desolation(Hosea 12:1).
The scripture made me understand that Ephraim was born as a Fruitful man. The name Ephraim means "Fruitfulness, even in the midst of afflictions". Ephraim was born to be fruitful everywhere and in every circumstances, no matter how unfavourable they might be. Genesis 41:51-52: "And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house. And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction" Unfortunately, Ephraim someday lost this consciousness and started chasing after Wind, Hosea 12:1. What is WIND in this context? The wind represents Vanity or Emptiness. When you put your trust in man, when you are chasing and looking up to man or an idol for help, you are actually chasing after Wind. That was the case of Ephraim. At a point in his life, he forsook God and began worshiping idols. He had all he wanted in his inside( because God had put fruitfulness in him), but he began pursing wind that had nothing to offer him. I guess his definition of fruitfulness shifted from the spiritual to the physical. And this is where many people are getting it wrong. Their definition of fruitfulness is their problem. Fruitfulness does not point to physical things, but it affects the physical. Being fruitful is not having lots of money, cars and landed properties. Being fruitful is being resourceful in your inside. In other words, you having ideas, good thoughts, and visions which you can materialize to meet your needs and the needs of people means you are fruitful. Fruitfulness starts from your inside, the spiritual. It does not begin with material things. But it shows in the physical.
The two other charges of God against Ephraim were manipulations and desolation. Hosea 12 notes that Ephraim made a covenant with Assyrians and carried the oil of God into Egypt. The Assyrians were one of the unbelievers. The children of God, the Israelites were instructed to avoid marrying them or joining in their lifestyles. Now having a covenant with them and carrying the oil of God to the unbelievers resulted to Ephraim's desolation. How does this apply to us? Today, there are EPHRAIMS who make covenant with unbelievers, especially through sex, and in this process they single handedly carry the anointing oil of God upon them into the hands of the enemy. This leads to desolation. When the oil of God leaves you, you become empty. And then, demons now have easy entrance into your destiny. This is why you must be careful and run away from pre-marital sex, extra-marital sex, blood covenants with people. Don't let the oil of God departs from you. It's very dangerous.
Are you Ephraim who is chasing after wind, putting your trust in man, looking for help from man or an idol, manipulating your way to the top, or you have lost your anointing through sex, now living a desolate life? The Lord says, "Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually"(Hosea 12:6). Come back to God and receive His mercy and discipline, rebukes and corrections. Wait on God always by studying and meditating on His word. Worship the Lord continually and He will restore everything you have lost. PEACE!

Religion / Living By The Law Of The Spirit by Seyibabalola(m): 10:05pm On Feb 23, 2016
Living by the Law of the Spirit

Sharp contrast exists between human principles and Kingdom principles. By human principles, the way to have more with you is to save, keep or withhold. But by Kingdom spiritual principles, to have more is to give what you have. That's why Bible says it is more blessed to give than to receive. Jesus also said,"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it"Luke 9:24. "How is it possible for me to have more by giving out the little I even have? Doesn't that look stupid or absurd?" That's the question pondered by human reasoning. Again, the world says seeing is believing, but the law of the Spirit says believing is seeing:"For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?"-Romans 8:24, "For we work by faith and not by sight"-2Cor.5:7.
Why do we have to live by the law of the Spirit? The Scripture makes us understand that we as Christians were re-born by the incorruptible seed which is the word of God:"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever"-1 Peter 1:23. This implies that we have a new DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) which belongs to heavenly species. We now have the genes of God. And so, we can no longer operate by Human principles or Human laws. We can no longer operate by Human biological instructions. Human living organisms naturally follow the Human species DNA biological instructions. That is why Human beings give birth to Human beings. But now that a man is reborn by God's word (which is Jesus Christ), it simply means he has a new DNA, God's DNA, and so, such man is to now live by the Spirit's DNA biological instructions. For God is Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit.
Let's consider this: Gal. 4:31 says we, as Christians, are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. The bondwoman, according to Gal.4, is the natural man whose offsprings are born after the flesh, but the freewoman is he whose offsprings are born after the Spirit. In other words, we are the children of the Spirit of God who should live by the laws of the Spirit. How to enjoy God and fulfill our purpose on earth is to live by the laws of the Spirit which appears totally opposite to human laws or principles. In a sense, you are not to always try to check the sanity or truism of what you hear from God or see in His word concerning your finances, marriage, business, carrer, ministry and other aspects of your living by considering the immediate environmental or human laws at work. By environmental laws, Naaman's leprosy could not have been healed in muddy River Jordan. By human laws, Saul the Tarsus would not have become the first among the Apostles of Christ. His position would rather have been a case of "the last shall be the last". But by the laws of the Spirit, "the last shall be the first, and the first shall be the last".
Understand this that you have a new DNA which follows the biological instructions of your new parent the Holy Spirit, having been born again. When you do this, you won't doubt whatever you hear in your inside by the Spirit and what you see in God's word, and you will become lighter to cast all your trust in the Lord, in the midst of conflicting laws of man or nature, because you know you are of and operating in another world, heaven on earth.

Yesterday, February 4th, 2015, was my wife's 51st Birthday. And this year would be the 27years since 1988 the year we got married, when she was only 24 years old and I was 28. Since then, we have travelled through the thicks and the thins together, we have climbed the mountains and descended into the valleys together. We have faced adverse physical and spiritual situations together. We have both confronted together, daunting challenges that have stood and those that are still standing against our lives and ministry. Yesterday, she was 51 and she got phone calls and congratulatory text messages on phone and on Facebook page through out yesterday till late in the night. Our two sons brought her gift - two digitally painted pictures of her early years on film set. And I also bought her a small teddy bear. The several phone calls and congratulatory messages of the birthday made us feel a large crowd of well-wishers had attended our birthday party. Thank you all. But what is special about this great woman is when I remember how we started and how we have been journeying this journey since then. And when I recall some of the things that happen today among our single and marriagable sisters, I can not but give praises to the Lord God who brought this simple and humble sister my way several years ago. I have written this story in some of my write-ups and in one of my books, however, there is need to recall some of it for the benefit of some of our single sisters who might need to learn from it. I graduated from higher institution in 1983 and served in 1983/84. Right from the Campus days, I had been involved in drama ministry, all through my Youth Service, I was sending drama scripts back into the fellowship for drama presentations and I would travel down from Plateau State to direct the rehearsals and participate in the major drama presentation on Drama Night. After my Youth Service in 1984, I was involved fully in campus drama evangelism with the fellowship drama group, travelling to other campuses and churches outside the campus for drama presentation. And Sister Gloria was among the new members that joined the drama group. In 1985, sometimes in early July, I proposed to her to marry me and she told me she would pray over it. On August 4th, 1985, she revisited my proposal and said "Yes" to it. So, our journey began. Now, the real issue was that, I had nothing. I had nothing physical or material that any lady could be proud of. I had only one single room, with one bed, one table and chair, a standing hanger where I hanged my few fading shirts and only one suit which I used to iron from time to time and red tie from special occassion. Inside the single room was my cooking stove and a dilapidated standing fan, which had lost its foot and the head was tied facing the bed. And of course, a precious item - my bookshelf serving as a small library. So, when Sister Gloria visited my abode for the first time, these were all I had and she saw. My physical and material possessions could never be compared to what I was on the campus. "Bro Mike" was famous among the fellowship as a "gym-gym" brother full of zeal for drama and drama only. And the drama group of the fellowship became the most influential of all the sub-groups of the fellowship, because almost all the executive officers became members of the sub-group, including the President and the Vice- President and the General Secretary of the Christian Fellowship. So I was so rich in spiritual substance and full of great visons, but had no enviable physical or material possessions any young lady could be proud of. But, when Sis Gloria entered my room, one afternoon, she never saw all those things I mentioned but only one thing arrested her attention: my bookshelf containing several spiritual books, including the books of Kenneth Hagins, Oral Roberts, T.L. Osborne, Osward J. Smith, etc. She hasten to the shelf and shouted "Whao!", and she sat by the bookshelf and began to look at those precious books she had longed to have and read. Ah!. I was happy I had what she wanted and desired. She wanted spiritual books that would make her grow. And I had just that! All other things never mattered to her. I had nothing physical, but I had a great vision of the future and she embraced that vision with all her heart and might. When her senior brothers and her parents were demanding from her to know the work that her fiancee was doing that could qualify him to marry her, she stood on my behalf to defend me before her people that I was into drama ministry and there was a great future ahead of us. He people could not see what she was talking about, because I was already on full-time drama ministry and I had no physical enviable thing they all could hold on to. They were furious with her and thought she must be out of her mind to have decided to marry "a man who has no job and no physical possession and no appreciable future". When we informed them we wanted to get married three years down our courtship, they revolted and my Mummy ( my elder sister), led the war to Sis Gloria's parents to warn them never to give their daughter to me in marriage because I had no job to take care of their daughter. She stood by what God had told her about me, that there was a great future ahead of us. The Lord convinced them all and they supported us and we married in 1988, three years after the Mount Zion ministry launched. And our journey to that future began. Now, to my Dearest Single Sisters, a lot of us are missing it today. A lot of us have been seriously deceived and misled by erronenous marriage teachings and lectures of confused marriage counsellors and teachers. A woman was once invited to one of our sisters' conference, invited to come and minister to our single sisters. She mounted the pulpit and shocked us by saying, no sisters should marry any brother who is not materially capable of being a husband. She said she also counselled her daughters to be gather as many materials as possible before getting married; that her daughters must go into mariage with enough self-sufficiency. She ought to have got a lot of things like fridge, electronic gadgets, dinning sets and other things that could make her stand tall as a self-sufficient lady. I told my wife, that the woman would never be invited to any of our conferences again. Her teaching was confusing. I heard some marriage teachers taught their single sisters to check the Bank Account statement of the man who come proposing to them before they consider their proposals. If the Bank Account is very lean, then, they need not bother themselves considering the proposals. Some sisters would go and pay visit to the houses and apartments of the men who proposed to them, before they could begin to consider their proposals. A young brother who had waited for almost a year before the sister finally said "Yes", later came back to me after almost one year of courtship, to tell me that the lady suddenly began to ask some strange questions about his projections for the future and what he hopes to achieve and possess in a year's time and what he hopes to acquire in two years' time; the amount he hope to have saved for the wedding in two years. And when he told the sister that he was not sure of the amount he could save for the wedding neither does he have any future projection, but he is a minister of God and she could see all the works he has been doing for the Lord and he knows the Lord has a great future for him as he keeps serving Him. This made the sister began to reconsider the relationship. Then, she said later, that she didn't think they were compatible, because she thought he had no future plans. Meanwhile, such sister would readily believe a lie. If the brother had began to blow an invisible trumpet of himself and began to paint an unrealistic picture of his future for this same sister, she would have believed everything. If the brother had said something like "making a saving that would enable him acquire a jeep in a month to their wedding; and how he would tender a business proposal before an oil company or come up with a business idea that could fetch him some millions, which would afford him an opportunity of purchasing a duplex apartment in Lekki part of Lagos, the sister would readily believe that he had a future plan. She would take him for a very serious-minded marriagable brother. We have come to a strange generation where lies sell heavily than the truth. We are now in a season when our young sisters believe a man by what they see of him physically or how sweetly he could run his mouth by saying big and boastful plans and not by what they spiritually perceive of him. This is a season when, it is the way you package yourself that many sisters take you, even if the fine shirts and suits with shoes were borrowed to be returned later. MANY, NOT ALL. MANY OF OUR SISTERS LOVE TO BELEIVE IN LIES TODAY. Some sisters' choice of who to marry would depend on where the man is working: Bank?, Oil and Gas? Real Estate? Insurance? Constructions? And some sisters' readiness to consider a proposal rests on the family status of the man who proposed: is the family rich and wealthy? Are they based in US or Canada or Germany or Asian nations? Famous and Influential? Today, a lot of brothers love to live on lies and falsehood, because this is what many sisters want. I once read on the Whatsap page of a young brother in Christ whom I happened to know. He wrote under his name, CEO of a Motivational and Purpose Group company and under this are about two or three website of his Motivational Purpose company. In one of his write-ups, I read where he said: One day, as I was coming from my office, I saw....." When I read that, I wondered which office he was talking about, because, I knew him to be working as a shop attendant or sales man in a shop. I look at the picture he posted in his profile, he dressed up like a Director of a corporate organisation, but he is a sales boy working in a shop. These are the type of lies many of our sisters love to hear before they could consider a proposal. What does the Bible say about responding to marriage proposals: Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV [5] Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. A christian lady who would have a great future and pleasant home would commit her ways, the proposals into the Lord's hand. I THINK THIS IS THE ACTUAL SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM: MANY SISTERS CAN'T WAIT BEFORE THE LORD TO KNOW THE MIND OF GOD CONCERNING WHO TO MARRY AGAIN. MANY SISTERS ARE GUIDED INTO MAKING THEIR MARITAL CHOICES BASED ON THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OR MATERIAL OR FINANCIAL POSSESSIONS OF THE MAN, AND NOT ON THE LEADING AND CONVICTIONS OF THE LORD THEIR GOD. If Sis Gloria were to consider my physical, material and financial possessions when I proposed to her, I would have been outrightly disqualified, because I had nothing but the burning visions to evangelise the world through Drama ministry. And if She were to consider my proposal based on my future plans or projections, she would never have considered me, because, I had no financial, material or physical future plan or projections at that time, but was only armed with evangelistic visions of the work of God. And what are the unpleasant results of all these fake future plans and projections: because no life is secure except the ones hidden in Christ and entrusted in His care. Many of these future plans and projections flopped and they are castles built with sea- sand on a sea-shore, they crumbled fast when the foundation is not laid on the leading of Christ and the home is set on fake foundations and false projections. The banking industry is not what it used to be. The oil and gas industry is no longer like before. Considerations of your response to a proposal should never be based on anything physical or materials, but Godly leading and convictions after a lot of heart-searching prayers and humble waiting upon the Lord to know His heart on the man who proposed. ONLY THE LORD GOD KNOWS THE FUTURE. THE BROTHER WORKING IN A BANK OR OCUPPYING A MANAGERIAL SEAT TODAY MAY BE DEMOTED BY CIRCUMSTANCES AND NEGATIVE SITUATIONS TOMORROW. AND THE MAN WHO HAS NOTHING NOW MAY BE ON HIS WAY TO THE TOP VERY SOON. So, physical or material status should never be paramount in considering marraige proposals, but the voice of the Lord who knows tomorrow. If you desire a peaceful home and fruitful marriage that will afford you the opportunity to be ministerially fulfilled, don't let any physical, material or financial things give you your husband, let the spirit of the Lord lead and convince you of who to marry. You are blessed, MIKE BAMILOYE

How Much God Loves Me ....A Must Read

I have come across believers who ask why God planted the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden, if He truly loves man and knew that that could make man sin and fall. Some ask, "Did not God know that Adam and Eve would disobey and eat the forbidden fruit?" "If He knew(as He is omnipotent), why did He then put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden?" Now, I will answer these disturbed minds. It is a question of How Much God Loves Man.
The greatest act of how much God loves man is God putting man into tests or trial of faith. When God puts you in a situation which signals danger, death, sickness, or failure, you will begin to have a sense of limit, a sense of boundary. In other words, you will begin to have a sense that you can fall, a sense that you are not all powerful and all knowing (omnipotent). You will begin to have a sense that you are not God, you are only like God. Being like God and being God are two different things. This sense was what Satan lacked and began to equate himself to God, before he was banished from heaven. Lucifer became proud, because he did not have a sense of limit, a sense of boundary, a sense that he could fall. He then planned to exalt his throne above God. He eventually fell down.
Now, listen, God could have chosen not to put the tree of a forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden. But He puts the tree there, so as to show man his limit. He put the tree to tell man that he (man) is limited, he (man) has boundary. In other words, man is to know that He is not God who is unlimited, who cannot fall, who is not accountable to anyone. Now, the plan was that when man understands this fact, he will be cautious, he will be able to resist pride, unlike Lucifer. And then, man would be able to depend totally on God's power. These will give man a perfect safety tips from destruction and death.
When you don't understand this and then you begin to live carelessly or uncontrollably like Lucifer or Adam and Eve, the consequences that follow is to show you that He is God, you are not God that can be doing anyhow or doing things on your own, thereby making you to now have perfect safety tips from death and destruction. This perfect safety tips is the sense of limit, sense of boundary, sense that you can fall, sense that you cannot do anything without him, sense that you should depend totally on His power. Bible says let him that thinks he stands take heed. Bible also says "trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him". Jesus also says you can do nothing without Him.
Now tell me, how much does a father loves his child? Is it by making everything rosy for the child, giving him everything he wants without telling the child what can kill or destroy him and all the things he is enjoying. Obviously No. How much a father loves his child is by giving the child a sense of limit, a sense of boundary, a sense of what can make him lose those things he is enjoying from his father. For this will always ensure his safety, rather than just enjoying life without a sense of the bad side of life.
Now you know that God loves you very very much by putting you in tests and trials. These tests and trials are what give you a sense of limit, boundary and total dependence on God. The trial of your faith shows how much God loves you. That is why 1 Peter 1:7 says that "the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ"
God put the tree of forbidden fruit in Eden, so as to give Adam and Eve a sense of limit, a sense of boundary, a sense that they can fall, a sense of what can make them lose those things they were enjoying in the garden, a sense that they are accountable to God, a sense that they are not God who can do anyhow he likes. Unfortunately, Adam and Eve did not understand this, until after they were banished from the garden.

COME UP .....A MUST READ

Scripture says who shall ascend unto the hill of the Lord or who shall stand in His holy place? Why do you have to ascend to the hill? The first reason is that that is where God dwells. He is up. And so, God says arise and shine, that is, come up to the hill and shine. This takes me to the second reason. You've got to ascend unto the hill, because you are the light of the world. Bibles says you don't light a candle and put it under a basket. A light is meant to shine. You are to come up on the hill and shine to the whole world. In other words, you are not programmed by God to be a local champion. But listen, how do you know how big what God has in stock for you? How do you know how global you are? This takes me to the third reason to come up to the hill where God dwells and wants you to be. Let's take Moses' last encounter with God as a case study
In Deut. 34, Bible says: "And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar." God told Moses that these are the lands which He swore to give to the children of Israel. That shows how great and global the Israelites were to become. But here is the issue. Moses had to go up to the mountain where he could see all these promises of God. In fact, that mountain was so high that it was over Jericho. You can imagine the height. That is how God deals with man. You've got to go up in the Lord. You've got to grow up in the Lord to see His plans and promises for your life. You've got to go up in the spirit to shine. But how will you do that successfully? Bible says let us lay aside every weight and the sin which easily besets us. There are some things which are not sins, but they are just weight. They slow you down in your pursuit of God's plans and purpose for your life. They don't allow you to run well the race that God has set before you. These weights include certain people or relationships or character which you have to lay aside, in order to go up to the mountain where God dwells and where you will shine. Sin too will not allow you to go up and meet God where He will show you His plans for your life. So, you are lay aside both the things that are sins and the things that are just weights. The truth is that the more you develop in God, the more of what you drop. You drop things and people that are not supportive to your race. You drop distractions. You drop people who are just using you, they have nothing to offer you as support to your race to go up and fulfill destiny. Hate not such folks, but only avoid them constituting weights on you and slowing you down.
That is how to COME UP.

Fear is not a sin. Fear only becomes a sin
when you allow it to stay. If you allow it to
stay, it might destroy many things. The
disciples of Jesus might not have needed to
call on Jesus to calm the storm, if they had not allowed the fear
to dwell. Whenever fear comes, invite the
presence of the Holy Spirit, speak in
tongues. If you do that, the fear will fly away
in few seconds. Even the Devil cannot stand
in that moment.
Nairaland / General / My Experience In HELL by Seyibabalola(m): 5:55pm On Feb 11, 2016
…..MY EXPERIENCE IN HELL I was raped by a supposed friend (someone I thought I could trust). Left in shame and shock I could not tell anyone about my ordeal. I kept it to myself and went about my normal life. Some weeks later after I came back from a vigil I started feeling weak so I went to a nearby hospital and ran some tests. To my greatest Shock I tested positive to pregnancy. I told the man involved who after much plea convinced me to have an abortion which will be kept a secret. I went in for an abortion however before the procedure I asked God to forgive me for what I was about to do and in the process I died, I left my body. Still looking at the lifeless form on the abortion table, I started ascending but in a flash a force pulled me down through a dark tunnel. I could not see the beginning or the end of the walls of the tunnel. It was dark, so dark, I saw cobweb like cells on the walls and in an instant I was in HELL. I saw a woman who had been there for over a hundred years, she was in deep pain and agony, she would melt in the flames and the magma like liquid will come back together in the form of the woman. It occurred repeatedly. I knew I was in hell. I began to burn and burn, I felt like pulling out my hair form its roots, because the pain was unbearable. It was as if my senses where magnified over a thousand times. The agony of the burns was not enough. The scream of people under the same torment was worse, it was so loud that I felt I would go deaf but they kept resonating in my ears. I began to scream, the more I screamed the weaker I got but the screams only got louder while I was getting weaker. I gnashed my teeth but no form of all these expressions made me feel better…it only got worse, beyond description. I was in deep torment. The worse feeling was not just the pain, the noise, the screams or the pungent smell. It was the feeling of HOPELESSNESS/TOTAL DAMNATION. I WAS CONDEMNED FOREVER. I knew I was in HELL forever and ever. There was no way out. I began to cry out to God for mercy. At a point Jesus appeared and I wept the more. I asked Him to please give me one SECOND out of hell to just scream Jesus is Lord and die again. Jesus replied, “how many seconds are in a minute, how many minutes are in an hour, how many hours are in a day, how many days are in a week, how many weeks are in a month and how many months are in a year and how many years have you lived on earth?” I have given you all the seconds in your living years yet you failed me. I wept more and asked Him to have mercy and please give me another chance to go and tell the world about HELL. I pleaded with the Lord to give me a chance even if I return to the world without my hands or my legs at least let there be breath in my nostrils. I had a better understanding of the adage that a living dog is better than a dead lion. I even promised to tell the world of my ordeal if He delivers my soul from the torment in HELL. He replied,’ many have gone from here to tell them, what makes you think they will believe you but I kept pleading for a second chance and as I was weeping and gnashing my teeth. Jesus had mercy on me but warned me sternly that if I did not preach I would end up in hell. He said, ‘tell my people to stop playing games with me’. At that point I woke up in the hospital room. At first she I scared of sharing my horrific ordeal because I was concerned about my reputation but finally opened up when I came in contact with Dominion City under Pastor David Ogbueli's ministration. WHAT IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY COST? If you are reading this post that means you have a chance to make a change and reconcile with God or if you are lukewarm it’s time to stop playing games with God. Words alone cannot tell of my torment in hell or the torment of those in hell. HELL is not a myth, a story, OR a figment of someone’s imagination, HELL IS A REAL PLACE. A place you would not even wish for your enemies or those who have hurt you most. (Heb 9:27 ~ And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement.) If we recognize that all earthly things are someday going to be stripped away from us, then the craving for material possessions will matter far less to us now. We should turn away from physical indulgence, for earthly pleasure leaves no permanent gratification. (2 Peter 3:11 ~ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness) - We should stop giving excuses for God's work - We should imitate Christ - Find out our purpose on earth and fulfil it - Be part of the move of God in this last days - Have a consistent walk with the Holy Spirit

The ARK in a SUBTLE STYLE .....A Must Read

Virtually we have many times lost it. We have fought many inexistent enemies. We have many times given attention to things that do not matter, when it comes to watching and praying away barriers of success and destiny. How do I mean?. Let's look at the ARK in a Subtle Style.

Do you remember what Jesus told His disciples when He was to send them on mission to preach the gospel of God's kingdom and heal the sick? Jesus said, "whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city"-Mark 6:11. In John 12:48 Jesus also said, "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day" The ARK of the Lord in a subtle style is the word of God. How do you treat the word of God? Do you accept it into your house like Obededom? Have you allowed it to depart from your house? When the Ark of the Lord was allowed into Obededom's house, the Lord blessed Obededom and everything that pertained to him. The wife of Phinehas recognized the significance of the ARK when it departed from Israel. She said, "The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken"-1Sam.4:22.

The ARK represents God. Today, the physical ARK which blessed Obededom and the Israelites is the Word of God. God and His Word are one. How you treat the the word of God will determine your experience in life. Do you reject God's word and expect blessing? Do you hinder God's word from entering into your heart, your house, and you think it's the bad economy of the country that is responsible for your poverty or struggles? Have you allowed the Word of God to depart from your life and you think it is the old woman in your village that has stolen your glory away? You've got to recognize that the word of God is your glory, as Phinehas's wife did and said:"The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God is taken"-1Sam.4:21. Isaiah 60:19 says "....the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory" Isaiah 60:2 says "darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkeness the people: but the LORD(who is your glory) shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon thee". So, it's not about what happens in the country. It's about how you treat the Word which is your glory. Do you chat or play with phone when the word is going on in church? Do you ignore the voice of God in your spirit? Think about it.

The ARK of God wants to enter your house and bless you greatly like Obededom. Would you allow it? Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me"-Rev.3:20. Would you open your door for the ARK now? Would you now start treating the word of God the ARK with right attitude, and with holiness? Your destiny is in your hands.

The Ark of God in a subtle way is God's word. Most times we are not conscious of it, that's why we miss some provisions of God for our lives. What you are not conscious of, you don't give attention to it, and what you don't give attention to, you don't benefit from it. Instead of giving attention to God's word, we give attention to people, witches or wizards. We think they are the one blocking our blessings. Bible says if God be for you, who can be against you? Stop giving attention to what people or some witches are saying. Give attention to God's word and treat the word well, because that is what will determine your future. Bible says let God be true, and every man a liar - Romans 3:4.

Nairaland / General / Bride Shares Her Experience Of Wedding Night Sex As A Virgin by Seyibabalola(m): 10:08am On Jan 30, 2016
BRIDE SHARES HER EXPERIENCE OF WEDDING NIGHT SEX AS A VIRGIN. Bride of one year, Lola Akindele Busari made a vow to herself and God to reserve sex for marriage, but her experience of overcoming her fear of sex almost made her honeymoon a disaster. She is now calling for churches to institute real sex education for young women and would-be brides – a platform for open and honest talk that recognises sex as natural, beautiful, and a pleasurable part of marriage. She shared her story with BN , and the relevant parts are excerpted below. Losing my Virginity Now, it’s interesting that I can joke about intimacy. right now – because a year ago, when we got married, to be quite frank…I was in tears when I fully realised how painful it actually was to lose my virginity. It was not a laughing matter at the time AT ALL! And I don’t mean painful in the sense that I felt I was losing a piece of myself… far from it! And it wasn’t even the fact that it just physically REALLY hurt! The thing that ‘pained me’ the most was the fact that I was with the love of my life, we had just had the most beautiful wedding with all our friends and loved ones, dancing away and popping (non alcoholic) sparkling wine… and when it was time to now Pop The Cherry…I was too afraid! I felt as though I was not fulfilling my first wifely task. We had stayed at the spa hotel in which we got married for a couple of days before we flew off to the Dominican Republic (and not Barbados – private joke) for the honeymoon…and I felt so distraught that I was letting my husband down. On the night of the wedding, I was full of mixed emotions. I had finally gotten married! It was all I had ever dreamed about. I had been planning the big day since forever… It was so lovely and beautiful and my husband is the best thing that’s happened to me apart from Jesus…he waited for me and respected and adopted my views on having no premarital sex from the beginning – so WHY was it so difficult to Just Do It? ‘Nike’ lied! I wanted to…but just couldn’t. Vaseline at the Wedding I was very fortunate to have two married woman in my close circle of friends who gave me a lot of very useful advice, one of them even slipped me a small container of Vaseline whilst I was on the dance floor in my wedding dress, telling me I would need it for later that night. I was laughing at the time when she gave it to me. I was soon to find out (as mentioned earlier) that it was not a laughing matter at all! I was so lucky, as my wonderful husband is just the best because he was so patient and gentle. The key is to relax they say…well… according to numerous “How To…” tips on Google that is. I tried to…but I just kept hearing this voice saying…”You’re letting him down…You’re letting him down…He waited for you all these years and now that it’s time to do it you can’t!” It was horrible knowing that it felt like I could not go through with it. The pain, the anxiety, the fear of him being disappointed in me…there was no way I could relax! On top of that, I had heard a story about a young couple who had just recently gotten married and who had requested for an annulment of the marriage because of this very same situation. The wife felt as though she couldn’t go through with losing her virginity, no matter what they tried. What the Church Says & Reality At church, the message from the pulpit is always ‘save yourself for marriage’ – which is good…and it’s what I did. However, The Church seems to be producing batches of women who yes, may come to their married bed as virgins …but they are more or less left to their own devices after that. Old wives tales, advise from mothers and jokes about it from friends aren’t really enough to fully prepare you for what to expect. I guess everyone’s different and everyone’s first time will most certainly be different – but The Church should also have in place a platform (or a session included within their premarital counselling) whereby they’re not afraid to touch on the subject of the Wedding Night and how it’s different when marrying a virgin. It would be good to have some sort of dialogue in place between the future spouses regarding the importance of being gentle and patient or even perhaps certain positions that will help make it easier, such as propping a pillow under your pelvis (for the woman), which helps make your fist time go a lot more smoothly. (A technique I learnt from Google whilst on my honeymoon. For the first couple of days I would be like: Hold on! Let me quickly get the pillow first! Lol!) Thus couples can discuss these different methods beforehand, which should help better prepare them for their wedding night. However the most beautiful part of it all was remembering that God does not give us more than we can bear. He had blessed me with such a wonderful and caring husband and my hubby was so sweet and just kept telling me “It’s ok, don’t worry about anything… it will happen.” There’s no way I could imagine going through that process with someone who didn’t love me or who was just using me, as some women and even some teenage girls have to go through. I asked the Holy Spirit to open up everything that needed to be opened in order to make this happen and to give me the ability to stop over thinking everything and to just relax. To make light of the situation, my husband so lovingly reminded me that the children that we’re looking forward to having one day, are going to have to come through this avenue. We laughed… and laughed some more. It was good to be with someone who was so calm about the whole thing and that also helped to make everything easier. Something that is supposed to be a natural process of life, something that I hadn’t experienced in all of my 26 years, but was now ready to experience… was NOT going to be turned into something that would now try and steal my joy. Oh no honey! When I prayed, I prayed for Wisdom – wisdom for how to best deal with the situation and for the strength to bear the pain and to overcome it so that I could please my husband and so that we could both enjoy something that God himself had created for us to enjoy in marriage. NOTES; 1. Not all first times hurt for every woman. Some women do NOT experience any pain when they have sex for the very first time. 2. Vaseline is not the best lubricant for a woman. Only use petroleum jelly when you have no other option as it may affect the health of your vagina. If possible walk into your nearest pharmacy and ask for a sex lubricant. KY Jelly is usually the cheapest and most widely available brand. Some condom brands also have various options available. 3. Putting a pillow under your hips really does work, or you can learn to tilt your waist so you’re not horizontal on the bed. Also learn to move your waist to match your partner’s movements. That helps things along, and gives you more pleasure too. 4. You may not orgasm during your first sex or even for every sex after that, and you many never orgasm from penetrative sex, However, I think most women can orgasm if they and their partners want to. MouthAction and manual stimulation [fingering] are options as they provide the closest contact to most women’s most erogenous zone, your clitoris. And women, feel free to touch yourself, I mean your vagina, to find out what works for you. Sex experts, feel free to add other tidbits

Why there is a STORM .....A Must Read

Jesus just finished speaking to a man to leave his dead father to bury himself and follow him. The man agreed to follow Jesus and entered into a ship with Jesus and His disciples. And then not long after their ship took off, there arose a great storm against the ship. The disciples were afraid and called Jesus to do something. Jesus rebuked the wind and there was a great calm in the sea. The storm could not capsize their ship and kill them.
Listen, why there is a storm in your life is because there is Jesus in your ship. The moment you decide to accept Jesus into your life and follow him, there will be storm. Expect storm, so that you won't doubt your salvation, thinking that you have sinned against God.
You are asking, "why does God allow storms to come against me, if He truly loves me? This is the answer to your question: How does God show to the devil that the storm would not matter, if He does not allow it to blow? How will God show the devil that the evil around you, the challenges and fears that you are passing through will not matter, if He does not allow them to happen? The only way to show the devil that the storm that hits against you will not matter is to allow it, because He will deliver you and you will still be standing. The storm will not kill you or remove you from the ship which represents the kingdom of Christ. The Bible says, "what shall separate us from the love of Christ?" Shall tribulation? "Shall peril? Shall distress?" No, nothing can separate us from God. Bible also says they that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion which cannot be moved but abideth forever. Bible also says when the enemy shall come against you like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against them. Bible says again that when you pass through water, he will be with you. And through the river, it shall not overflow you-Isaiah 43:2.
The storm is blowing, so as to remove you from the ship and drown you into the sea, because it could not take Jesus out. But the storm forgets that the scripture says that you shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in its season, its leaf shall not wither, and whatsoever he does shall prosper- Psalm 1:3. Jesus is the rivers of water which is by your side in the ship (His kingdom) like He was in the one with His disciples. John 7:38-39. So, don't be afraid, because the storm wouldn't matter, as long as Jesus is in your ship.
"Does that mean that i will not experience storm, if am not in the ship with Jesus?" No, you will experience the storm of wind, even if you are not in the ship with Jesus. But yours will be a judgement, rather than justification. How do we know those who have Christ and those who do not? It is by judgement and justification. Those who do not have Jesus in their life will be judged, while those who have Jesus will be justified. How is someone justified as a Child of God? Bible says the rain will descend on him, the flood will come and the wind will blow against him, but he will not fall, because he is founded upon the rock which is Jesus-Mathew 7:24-27. That's what justifies someone that he has Christ. If you don't have Jesus in your life, you will still experience storm of wind, but your own storm will be a judgement. How?: when the rain descends, and the flood comes and the wind blows, you will fall and your fall will be great, says Mathew 7:24-27. Bible also says that the ungodly is like the chaff which the wind drives away (Psalm 1:4)
Both those who are in the ship with Jesus and those who are not will experience storms of wind, but the storm against the follower of Christ will be for justification, while the storm against the one who is not following Christ will be for judgement.
There is a storm in your life because Jesus is in your ship. It wouldn't matter, as long as Jesus is in the ship. The storm will only justify you. It will not destroy you. It will not displace you. Remain blessed.

PEACE

God is not involved in things that do not give you peace. God is not interested in sound, logical or great plans you can make to hit your life goals, he is interested in your peace. Why?: The life of God is Peace. Jesus said, "Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" Peace is a fruit of righteousness. It is often a proof that you are on the right track. What's that thing you are doing or about to do, but you can't find a peace in you? What's that thing you are forcing to happen? I say to you this day that God is not involved in it. God would not force you or make you do what you don't have peaceful capacity to do. A capacity that has to be forced to make things happen works against the peace of God in your life. How Jesus fed 5000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes was not by a forced capacity, but by a peaceful capacity.
David could not build a house for God, because of the many wars he was fighting. He had no peace, so he could not build it. What to learn from this is that God would not make you force things to happen, when you don't have the peaceful capacity. Anything that takes or will take peace away from you, check it, it is not of God.
Take no thought for tomorrow, says the scripture. Sometimes you just have to be empty, you don't have to make any plan, and you must not be logical, if you will receive from God. If all you have were what you laboured for, then you have not been allowing the move of God in your life. In short, it simply means you have been forcing things to happen. That is not the life of God. From this day henceforth, let God have his way. Allow the move of God in your life. Don't fight unnecessary battles. Don't force things to happen. Don't force things to enter into your PURPOSE. Let the peace of God that passes all understanding guides your heart through Christ Jesus. Be careful for nothing - Phill. 4:7. Don't be too logical for God. Don't make plans, rather let the plans of God happen. How do you do that? Answer: Listen to the small still voice of God in your inside and do whatever it says. Luv you always!

Nairaland / General / The Running Cup by Seyibabalola(m): 9:09pm On Jan 11, 2016
The Running Cup

It might surprise you here that your cup which the Bible says it runneth over in Psalm 23:5 is not the interesting or sweet substances you've always taken it to mean, and as a result, you have always been naive about the unpleasant experiences in your life. You can't just understand why you have to pass through such. You suffer condemnation from your family, friends have deserted you because of your stand in God, you are depressed, years after graduation, yet no job, or you even find yourself doing a substandard job you never thought you would do years ago, you deny yourself of certain enjoyments of the flesh, you are persecuted for living a Christian life. Listen, all these are triggered by the Anointing. Psalm 23 says "thou anointed my head with oil, my cup runneth over" The word cup represents sufferings. Anointing triggers oppositions of the enemy. Matthew 26:39 says "And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this CUP pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt" Jesus saying this cup was referring to the sufferings and the death which He was about to experience. We all know about how he was stripped naked, spited on, smitten on the head, mocked, putting on a crown of thorn, carrying a very heavy cross, drank a bitter vinegar, nailed to the cross. That's the CUP.

When the mother of James and John made a request that Jesus should allowed James and John to sit beside His throne in Heaven, Jesus said, "Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"-Mathew 20:22. Jesus was trying to tell them what it will cost them to sit by His throne in Heaven, which is the sufferings they would have to experience. They replied, "we are able", and Jesus said "Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father". Why did Jesus say they would indeed drink of His cup? He said so, because as a child of God and a follower of Christ, you will indeed suffer and be opposed by the enemy. Jesus told his disciples, "the world will hate you, because it hates me". He also said, "In this world you will face trials and tribulations" The world will hate them and they will face trials and tribulations, simply because of the Anointing upon them by the Holy Spirit in them. The Holy Spirit which they would receive will produce Anointing upon them which will trigger the attacks of the enemy and sufferings of all manner. We all know what sufferings the disciples indeed passed through.

You don't pray to God that your cup should overflow, in agreement with Psalm 23:5. The Anointing on you will naturally trigger your cup to overflow: "thou anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over". In other words, God's anointing upon you will naturally trigger an overflow of denials of the things of the world, overflow of oppositions of the enemy, overflow of challenges. In fact, the greater your anointing, the greater the oppositions of the enemy you will face. But here is the good news: In those sufferings, in those challenges and oppositions lie your blessings. They are the access to the beautiful things God promised you, their overflow means overflow of blessings. If Jesus had rejected His own CUP, he would not have been where and who he is now. He said to Peter, "Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? John 18:11. Accept oppositions as blessings. Without battles, there is no glory. Love you!

Nairaland / General / "Give Me To Drink" by Seyibabalola(m): 3:59pm On Jan 07, 2016
"Give me to drink"

How could someone who says He is the living water, and that whoever drinks of Him shall never thirst again still be asking a woman of Samaria to give Him water to drink? Have you thought about this before?. If you haven't or you have but you could not get an answer, get it here. Jesus asking the woman of Samaria to give Him drink was to draw her attention to something she has been missing for years. This has to do with how she could get a fulfilled life. For years, the woman has been getting it wrong, looking for a fulfilled life in men. She had had 5 husbands, but could not have one permanent in her life that she was already having the 6th man when she met Jesus. And the well which was the point of her contact with Jesus was to be a representation of the issue of her life, FULFILLMENT. She has been drawing water from the well but she has never been fulfilled, until she met Jesus the living water that fulfills.

Jesus said unto her, "Give me drink". This was to show her how to live a fulfilled life. This is SERVICE. She has a purpose for living. She has to serve God. In her serving God, fulfilling her purpose is where she would get fulfillment. A fulfilled life comes from you serving God, fulfilling your purpose, not from any man. Labouring in a wrong well like the woman of Samaria will only lead to an unfulfilled life, a constant thirst. Looking for fulfillment in a husband or wife or fiance or fiancee is a waste of time. Isaiah 55:2 says "why do you labour for that which satisfies not? Serving God and Fulfilling Purpose is what gives a fulfilled life.

But note this. You must first know God. You must repent from your evil ways. You must be born again and receive the Holy Spirit into your life. He is the living water(John 7:38-39), the revealer and preserver of destiny the gift of God. Jesus said unto her, "If thou knowest the gift of God, and who is it that saith to thee, Give me drink, thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee living water?"-John 4:10.

Trusting God to deliver us from every unnecessary labour this year in Jesus name. Amen!

Nairaland / General / Create Your WORLD by Seyibabalola(m): 3:12pm On Jan 03, 2016
The Framing Word

Jesus talks about a wise man who builds his house upon a rock. The word 'rock' represents the word of God. When rain fell, and floods came and the wind blew, the house fell not (Mathew 7:24-28). This is a description of a man who frames his world by the word of God, so that those things that are seen were not made by things that do appear-Hebrew 11:3. It is important to know that your world can be created by God's word. In other words, you can settle what happens to you in the physical in the spiritual by God's word. In fact, all that Jesus is saying is that you must build your life in the spiritual; you must determine your life experiences in the spiritual, you must settle your success in the spiritual. How do you do this? You determine what happens to you in the physical by speaking the word in your spiritual time with God. That is how to have a good house. A house that no force or power of the enemy can pull down.

How did i know about the Framing Word which create my worlds? The Scripture says,"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."-Hebrew 11:3. My worlds were created by God's word in my confession, so that the things which are seen(my children, health, car, house, money, job, business, fame, and wealth) were not made by any man or connections or government policy or material wealth (things which do appear) What i experience in the physical were not as a result of my strength, wealth, charisma, physic, connections, or any man's help. Rather, they exist because i have settled them in the spirit through the word confession in my spiritual time with God: "I shall be the head and not the tail", "Whatsoever i lay my hands upon shall prosper", "the wealth of the Gentiles shall be converted unto me", "Kings shall minister unto me", "I shall be blessed in the city and in the field", "Gentiles shall come into my light, and kings shall come into the brightness of my rising", "I shall be a blessing to my generation", "I shall heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, deliver the oppressed of the devil". And now, if you see me laying my hands on a dead man and the man comes back to life, don't be surprised. It wasn't because i knew how to do it at that particular moment, but it was because i had dealt with it many times in the spirit through the word confessions in my closet (hoops! I just gave you a secret now). The question now is, What are you saying now? What are you declaring now concerning your future? Are you framing your world, your future, by things which do appear(such as man's help, connections, friends, money, material wealth)?. The Bible says your world (your life) will crumble, if you create it on these visible things, when the flood comes, and the rain descends, and the wind blows. Are you framing your world (your life, your future) which cannot fall, no matter what comes against it, by the word of God in your spiritual closet with God?

If God was a wise man who built his house(the heaven and earth) on the rock (by the word), you as his child must do same. You must frame your world by the word, not by things which do appear. You must settle what happens in your life in the physical in the spiritual by confessing the word of God. Keep saying it, keep declaring the word over your life, over your future in your closet with God. There is power in consistence. For it is only the things which were framed (created) by things which are not seen (the word of God) that lasts. "Being born again not of the corruptible seed, but of the incorruptible, by the word of God which ABIDES AND LIVETH FOREVER"-1Peter1:23 The things which do appear will fail your world when the enemy comes against you. Create your life by God's word. The Framing Word in your mouth.

Remain blessed!

Nairaland / General / OMG! This Is So......funny by Seyibabalola(m): 9:28am On Dec 31, 2015
The virtues of paying attention to details
First year University of Kenyatta medical students were attending their 1st Anatomy Class. They all gathered around the table and there was a real dead body on the table. The Professor, Mwangi started the class by telling them two important qualities of a DOCTOR. He said, "The 1st is that never be DISGUSTED about anything in the body." For example, he inserted his FINGER in the dead body's ANUS & put the finger in his own mouth & TASTED it. Then he told the students to do what he did. The students hesitated for several minutes, but eventually everyone inserted their fingers in the body's ANUS & tasted it. When everyone finished tasting their fingers, they were all frowning. Then the professor looked at them & said: "The more important 2nd quality is "Observation". I inserted my MIDDLE finger but tasted the 2nd finger...Now learn to pay attention!!! Most of the students fainted!! Don't just laugh or look in awe. Lesson learnt: always learn to pay attention.
Nairaland / General / Relax by Seyibabalola(m): 9:20am On Dec 31, 2015
RELAX

The sweetest thing about life is the word RELAX. We live in a world where men are stressed up, expectations are high, we wanna get hold of the future in the twinkle of an eye. A world where we force things to happen, and success doesn't look real to us, until we insert struggle into it. We look super when we hustle wealth out of the hard rock. But listen!, the real success hides in the word RELAX. If you can get hold of the power in that word, you get hold of life.

"Come unto me, all ye that are forcing things to happen and are laden with high expectations, and i will give you rest" These were the words of Jesus. He never forced things to happen. I mean he never laboured for anything. He never forced relationships, because he knew that "all that the Father hath given him shall come to him"-John 6:37. And Jesus said, if only you will come to me and learn the way i do it, i will make you to RELAX-Mathew 11:28-29.

To relax is to rest on the power of God to activate things to happen. You don't force things to happen. You don't force relationships. You don't believe you can make things happen by yourself. Jesus speaking about himself said, "....The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise"-John 5:19. The life of Jesus is a easy life- "my yoke is easy and my burden is light"

Now don't take RELAX as RETIRE. This is where some folks get things wrong. They think if they have gotten Jesus in them, they could go home and not work at all, because Jesus will pay their hospital bills, children's school fees, send some men to give them food, pay their house rent and fix their family issues. They believe once saved is forever saved.

You are to relax, but not retire. In other words, you are to rely on the power of God to have your dreams come to pass, but keep watch in the spirit, keep fighting in the spirit, and wait to hear from God the thing to do. You don't retire in the spirit, while you are relaxing in the physical. Everything that happens in the physical world has first occurred in the spiritual. If you don't control things in the spiritual world, before they happen in the physical, then be ready to bear the consequences. And that's why you have to keep watch in the spirit. Be sensitive to the voice of God. Bible says "watch and pray", not only because the Devil is roaring around, looking for whom to devour, but also because you need to hear what God would say concerning that business, that marriage, that career or that expectation of yours. You need to know the next line of action. Habakkuk says "I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me...."-Habakkuk 2:1. Don't be worried or feel you have failed over certain things that just stopped working or happening in your life, cos of some circumstances that you can't control. Those things stopped working or happening, because God wants to take the glory. He wants to show you the power of GRACE. He wants you to stop forcing things to happen. He wants you to stop struggling. In the meantime, you are only RELAXING, you have not RETIRED from them. In other words, you are only resting on God's power to make those things happen. You are only trusting in the Lord, not leaning on your own understanding, but acknowledging him in all your ways, knowing that it is not by power nor by might, but by the Spirit of the Lord. God deliberately put a break, because the appointed time for the vision has not yet come. All this while, you have only been forcing it to happen. And so, God deliberately put a stop, so that you will not continue to run the vision below the set standard by Him.

God wants you to RELAX. Tell yourself, "Am only relaxing, i have not retired." Jesus says, "take my yoke upon you, and learn of me,.....and ye shall find rest for your soul" The yoke represents discipleship. You need to be His disciple and learn from Him the way He is doing things. That's the way you can RELAX, and live a very peaceful and easy life.

Nairaland / General / Sex ....a Must Read by Seyibabalola(m): 1:44pm On Dec 30, 2015
The Power of SEX ...A MUST READ

Sex is a marriage between a man and a woman. Sex is not one of the responsibilities or activities of marriage, but it is the marriage itself. Sex is what marries you to someone, not the ring, not the vows, not the verbal agreement, not the act of living together in a house, not even the things you both share together such as the emotions, the feelings, the mutual care, etc. These things as the emotions, the mutual care, the feelings and other activities you do together are merely what are made to follow marriage which is SEX. That is the way God sees marriage. Let's go to the genesis of marriage and check this out.

God says in Genesis 2:24 that a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall CLEAVE unto his wife: and they shall be ONE FLESH. Now, according to English dictionary, the word CLEAVE means 'to split', 'to cut', 'to cling', 'to stick fast to'. How does a man and a woman become ONE FLESH? Is it not by cleaving to each other?, according to that scripture. I mean, is it not by splitting your flesh and clinging your soul to your sexual partner that you become one flesh with him or her? The word flesh in real sense is the body. You both become ONE BODY by splitting and clinging, just as Christ became ONE BODY with us Christians by splitting His flesh and blood to us to eat and drink, so that we can cling to Him in Spirit. That is why Jesus said "He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, DWELLETH IN ME, AND I IN HIM"(John 6:56). 'Dwelleth in me and I in him' is the clinging part of the word CLEAVE. This takes me to telling you what a man is splitting and clinging to his wife, and how this happens, according to the definition of marriage by God in Genesis 2:24.

As you yourself know that it is through sex that a man CLEAVE to a woman. Simply put, it is through sex that a man split his blood and his flesh to the woman. In process of sexual intercourse, your blood, flesh and the water in your body are being splited into the body of your partner. And that makes you both to become ONE BODY (ONE FLESH). Now, these 3 things, BLOOD, FLESH and WATER which you just splited are what cling your soul to the person you had sex with, just as the Blood and Flesh of Jesus and His Word(which is represented by water) which we eat and drink everyday at home and even in our Churches are what cling our soul to Christ who is our husband as Christians, until he comes back to take us home. I guess you have not forgotten that the Bible says Christ is the husband of the Church (read Ephesians). We are married to Christ through His Blood, Flesh and Water (the spiritual sex). This is a mystery of SEX that many do not know. They just think sex is fun or pleasure in marriage. Once you have sex with someone, you are married to him or her. Bible says, "know ye not that a person who is joined to an Harlot has become one body with her?" As implications, your soul will cling to that person. You have a share of the person's misfortunes and fortunes, because you are carrying his or her blood and water and flesh. You can hardly forget that person. This is why you will see a lady who still come back into relationship with a man who maltreats her and just beat her to near death. The reason is not far fetched. Mathew 6:21 says where your treasure is, there your heart will be. Your treasure are those things you have splited during sex. After Shechem had sex with Dinah Jacob's daughter, the Bible says,"And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel",Gen.34:3.

Sex is meant for a man and a woman who will be living together to fulfill their divine assignment. But when you have sex with someone who is not living together with you as husband or wife to help you fulfill your divine assignment given by God, then you will have problems. The first problem is that you have given the devil a way to come into your life to torment you, afflict you and challenge your destiny. You have given demons a right to dine with you. This is why you may have to fast and pray for long days or hours, before you have results. A journey of 40 days might be turned to 40 years. You will be afflicted with bad memories which will affect your marriage with the person you are now living with. The treasures of God in you which you have splited to 2,4, or 5 girls you slept with and are not living with you will cause bad shortage. When you need enough power or wisdom to succeed in a particular project that will fetch you lots of fortunes, you won't find it because you have shared this power or wisdom to someone who is living elsewhere, rather than being there with you to be an help meet. These implications of Sex are scriptural. The Bible says that he that breaks the hedge, the serpent bites. He that fornicates or commit adultery, the serpent will bite him - Eccl. 10:8. It is only a special deliverance by God that can save you from these BITES from the devil.

Marriage is honorable and the bed undefiled. Don't have sex with someone you will not live together with to fulfill your divine assignment. That's the principle of marriage. God created Adam and Eve to help each other to fulfill their assignment. BE WARNED!

Nairaland / General / Obedience by Seyibabalola(m): 8:28am On Dec 30, 2015
OBEDIENCE ..... A MUST READ Obedience can never be replaced with sacrifice. No matter how you dress it or present it , sacrifice can never take the place of obedience. Jesus said," I desire mercy, not sacrifice". A correlation to this statement is the scripture that says " It is not of him that willeth or runneth, but of God that showeth mercy" God does not deal with us, according to our sacrifices to him, i mean the things we claim we are doing for God. God deals with us, according to our obedience to his words. God does not need any man to do anything for him. He can use anything, even stones to get things done. Whatever he calls you to do ( which you might think it's for him) is not for him, it is for yourself, it is for your own good. If you don't do it, he remains God. It does not affect him. It only affects you. One great enemy of obedience is Our thinking that we are working for God or we are helping God to get things done. Uzzah had this erroneous thought. He put his hands to the ark of God with the thought of preventing it from falling down. The anger of the Lord smote him and he died there instantly. God has not told you to do it. Why do it? This is the scenario: If you are working in my company, i would rather have you obey my instructions as your Boss, than you making some sacrifices for the company. Obedience is all i need from you to achieve my company's objectives, not what you think is good, because what you think is good might not be good for the company or might not be in my style of operation as the owner of the company. Saul thought he was going to get an applause from God for keeping some large cattles to make a sacrifice to God, rather than killing them all as instructed by God, and he got the biggest shock of his life. You know the end of his story. Another enemy of obedience is religion. Religion has eaten deep the fabrics of many believers. You see many Christians engaging in 3, 4 or 5 departments of their church workforce. They think it's by activities. You see them doing this one, doing that one. They want to do everything. They think they are working for God, but most times they are actually working for their denomination. They are working tirelessly to promote their denomination ( they don't know anyway). Now, am not saying that you should not be zealous for the things of God. Am not saying you should not maximize your potentials in the church. What am saying is that you should give more importance to constant examination, personal development, knowing God for yourself, holiness and doing the will of God for you. Rest, relax, you cannot win all the souls in the world. Before you were born, souls have been perishing. When you die, souls will continue to perish. So why die before your time?. Take good care of your health. If it's by activities, Uzzah would have been blessed, and not terminated. Saul's kingship would not have been taken and given to David. It's not about diong things, it's about doing the things given to you. It's not about what you do, it's about what you do in obedience to what God told you. If you are not led by the Holy Spirit to go and preach in a particular place or to a particular person, i advise you not to go. You need to see Paul the Apostle and ask him his experience concerning the issue of going to where you are not led to go. And the last enemy of disobedience is the fear of men. Fear God, not men. Fear God that can kill both the body and the soul. In 1Samuel 13, Samuel instructed Saul not to leave Gilgal. He was to wait there for seven days for Samuel to meet him and give him some guides, before he offers a burnt offering to God. Saul disobeyed this instruction given by God through the mouth of Samuel, and offered the burnt offering to God, because he feared the Philistines who had gathered against the isrealite army at Michmash. Samuel told Saul that for this foolish act, his kingdom would not continue. OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE. SHALOM!
Nairaland / General / Principles Of Answered Prayer by Seyibabalola(m): 5:08am On Dec 30, 2015
The Principles of Answered Prayer

Every blessing in God's kingdom is released by principles. We serve a God of principles. And as merciful as he is, he still honours his principles. He does not joke with them. So, we've got to acknowledge certain principles of the kingdom, so that we can maximally lay hold on the benefits therein. In Mathew 7:7-8 God teaches the whole principles of answered prayer.

The first principle of an answered prayer is 'ASK'. You've got to ask for what you want from God. You've got to ask for your kingdom inheritance. Though he knows what you need, but he won't give them to you, until you ask for them. The sin committed by the prodigal son in the Bible was not his collecting his birth right, but his leaving his father's house and his squandering his birth right. He could have collected his birth right and stayed in his father's house. There was no problem in his collecting his birth right, because it was his own. He had to collect it. And so, we have to demand for our inheritance in God our father's kingdom. The only thing we must not do is leaving His kingdom and wasting His blessings upon our lives. And in asking, you are to pray out. Speak out the words of request. You don't pray inside your mind and claim he hears. When we ask, the Bible says we shall receive. But note that at this stage you have only received what you asked for in the spiritual. You are yet to receive it in the physical. That's why Mark 11:24 says "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them(in the spiritual), and ye shall have them(in the physical)"

The second principle of answered prayer is 'SEEK'. You have to seek, in order to find. Seek here means consistent asking. You have to consistently ask for what you want from God. The reason for this is that there are spiritual forces that are contending with your answered prayers in the spirit realm, so that they will not manifest in the physical. Everything that happens in the physical has first taken place in the spiritual world. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities, against spiritual wickedness in high places, and against rulers of the darkness of this world. That's why you have to be consistent in your prayer, and not relax after the ASKING stage. The word SEEK carries a force, unlike ASK. It is stronger in nature. When you are seeking for something, you know how you do it, unlike when you are just asking.

The third principle is 'KNOCK'. You have to knock, so that the doors of your answered prayers in the spirit can open in the physical. How to knock is GIVING THANKS TO GOD. That's why the Bible says "enter his gates with thanksgiving and into his court with praise" After asking and seeking in prayer, don't forget to always give thanks to God for answered prayers, because that's what will finish the job for you. Thanksgiving will release the blessings upon you in the physical. Look at this scripture: "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God"-Philippians 4:6. Can you see the place of thanksgiving? In other words, your prayer is not complete without thanksgiving.
Faith is the forth principle. Bible says he that comes to God must believe that He is and He is the rewarder of them that diligently seeks Him. You must have faith in God, as you pray. Believe He has answered your Prayer in the spirit realm, and you will have it in the physical - Mark 11:24.

If you can apply these 4 principles, you will have your prayers answered, as long as your requests are in accordance with the will of God for your life. As long as you don't pray amiss, you will have an answered prayer. Remain blessed!
