Well, a good number of our banks are running various schemes in conjunction with some auto dealers for individuals to purchase / acquire their dream cars [/ or other desired personal assets] where you spread payments over specific period of time. But the snag is you must be an employee of a reputable organisation. Notable banks include UBA, Intercontinental Bank, Oceanic Bank, etc. So scout around for some more info. Good luck. Ta. |
Yo! People: Promise72, Democrat, any response to my requests above? |
This is for ALL JAZZ FANS in 'n' around Lagos. About BLUE RHYTHMS, the jazz program presented by Ben Ufeli [Bufly] on 93.7FM sunday nites 10pm. I came across (thankfully) his communications outfit [The Nigeria Jazz Club] phone number in a ( u wouldn't believe this) commercial bus on the Island, on a sticker: (+)234-802-317-6204. Interested fans could call to inquire 'bout membership and/or other details. Ta. |
Gents, could any one shed a bit of light on this guy called Yanni? I started hearing 'bout him some couple of years ago. His compositions [tho i've not heard very many] are kind of something that sounds like funkified Beethoven's pieces. Please give mo' info concerning this artiste: background, style, base, etc |
@Free: R those pics depicting somethin' really real? U sure? I've always believ'd we ain't the only 'occupants of this planet [humanoids, that is]. gem87:Gem87, r u trying to admit u r one ov'em? to complete Free's statement, |
A nice, somewhat humor-attempted e-book Vol. 1. Awaiting Vol. 2, or is it Act 1, Scene 2? Do keep the humor sense up |
Thank God u guyz r back on d jazzy block! Where 'ave u all been? Miller, u sure 'ave been on a spree - boy! with all those names most of which i've never even heard before. Some of us are still learning, tho'. Gr8 2 have ur contributions once again. P-E-A-C-E. KEEP 'EM UP. |
drrionelli:Fellow JAZZ loverzzz, where are you all at? Pleeeeeze , let us keep this thread ALIVE. Miller, where R U? kindly respond. Drrionelli, doshbass, Eveseh, etc POST SOMETHING please,[color=#990000][/color] |
H-E-L-P! Urgently required: Can someone please assist in getting a 'very clean', hassle-free, easy accessible plot of land along Ibeshe road [around Nichemtex]? Asking price: N250k - N300k [negotiable] |
'Ello, can someone pls give me a complete low-down on the differences in all the options b/w 1999 - 2001 Toyota Camrys - CE /or LE models, and the landing costs [US - lagos] Ta. |
This Chiefoh must be a joke - thinks some of us are some kind of novice. The dials shown above don't look an inch like a Nissan's, more of a BMW's, in agreement with 1forall's opinion. Pls do somtin betta next time, |
Nice 2 join u guyz once again this year. [da new] Democrat, your inputs are quite helpful, as usual. But could u pls explain what u mean by "running the VIN." Also, how can i determine the year of make/model of any car without having to inspect the seatbelt of other thing? There're two Camrys - CE & LE - that look very much alike except their tail lights- one is small, thin line, the other big and tapers at the inner ends. What models are these? Promise72, thx for your analytical response. Very helpful. Are u based in The States, and do you 'bring in' autos as well? |
The Pelican Brief was a nice one, in view of its movie adaptation. The Runaway Jury was also very interesting - put me a bit on edge. But i think my fav'rit [out of all i've read so far] is The Chamber. It's a reeeaaaalll thrrriiiillleeerrr. Found it so hard to put the book down right from the middle. I even dreamt of the story once, astounding, i'd say. |

Sorry for the error Drrionelli, i meant to write that i was not sure of the availability of the naija works in the US, |
Drrionelli, thx. I'm not too sure the artistes i mentioned have recordings available in naija, tho' u can try 'n' get someone in naija to help u with some CDs of some of these artistes in a couple of music stores.A lot of them have some affiliation with DeCross International Ltd owned by Evangelist Obey-Fabiyi. So try and locate his site to have some idea on available works. I will see what i can do in getting sites where u can get copies, |
Glad to chip in ma bit on this Jazzy thread. I'm not a guru yet in knowing the names of all those jazzists like Miller, doshbass and co do, but i like real cool, soothing pieces like those of Kenny G, Earl Klough, Dave Koz, Najee [ma fav'rit], George Benson, Yanni[jus' gettin' 2 kno' him, tho'], Bonny James and quite a few other good instrumentalists. On the home front, ma guyz include Kunle Ajayi, Gbenga O-Wise, Segun Oluwayomi, Dapo Abe[Daystar], etc. [flash=200,200]http://For good jazz listening on radio[/flash], Blue Rhythms by Buffly[Ben Ufeli] is now at 10pm - 12am Sundays on Rhythm 93.7. Ben now has a jazz club for jazz lovers, that i know. What i don't know is his present e-mail ad for membership details. I also know they meet at Lord's Club, Maryland on some occasion. So, does any one have current details about how to be part of the club? ![]() |
Cynthia, i dig your beat! From ur replies, you are yet to be established in the nation's business capital - Lagos. I'd like to be a member. Pls send me further details: prospectus, terms 'n' conditions, . . . Expecting your mail: ess_jay4u@hotmail.com Thx. |
Freelance, very nice and insightful post. frankiriri, nice vision. I got to you guys, so Fill me in, |
I want to agree with Gbade's opinion on home videos [or whatever u can call them] as being a bunch of worthless crap - boy! the guy must really hate the guts of H.V. producers. I don't blame him, considering the mess we see on TV these days. |
Seriously looking for old class mates from Methodist Grammar School, Bodija, Ibadan. 1981 - 86 set. can remember very few names like Kunle & femi Lawani [2 people], Foluso Oloyede, Yemi Akinpelu [married by now], Moji , , Anybody out there? My name is Oluseyi Johnson. |
Dear friend, i totally agree with the guy who said they r not breaking throu'. They will never break thru with innocent people's hard-earned money. I didn't even know they still exist. A tiny nuclear bomb should be dropped on them. I was referred by them to a co. that took me a whole day to realise it was non-existent, after a stupid test and extortion. They are more than all that is said above. |
Ol' Shame, how u dey? Need your opinion on this. The '89/90 Nissan Primera looks very much like the Infiniti G20, u would agree. Is the Infiniti car an american response to the japanese auto maker? I bet i could use a few parts of the G20 as replacement for my Primera. Am i right? Do they have same engine as well? Again on Mitsubishi, the Nativa and Montero Sport LE look too similar. Are these automakers crazy enough to give us old wine in new bottles, or what, with a few variations, of course? Wishin' u a cool vac and merry xmas in advance, |
Thx, ol' shame 4 ur reply. One gadget that freaks me in a lot of 4x4s is this group of 3 gauges usually mounted centrally on the dashboard, one of which indicates the engaged drive mode - 2WD or 4WD [rear whhels only or all 4 wheels, for better traction], the other indicating the vertical gradient of the vehicle [degree of climb in off- road situation], and the 3rd, i'm not 2 sure but i think it indicates the degree of bend [horizontal], so that you know the tilt level limit. [am i correct?] I've seen this gizmo in a few Mit. - the reason for my likeness for the Mon. Sport Limited Ed. For the X-Terra, i haven't seen such. I like my ride to be full of indicators, u know? An interesting interior, to me, is cooler than the exterior. What'd'u think? What year is the X-Terra, and the price range - to have it in Lag - roro and contained? |
You can BET i will. How in the world can i miss that? |
First, to Nferyn. For u to have used all those cars u showed [impression], i don't think u need any personal car, considering the rate at which u changed them. I have a Primera similar to the one shown by the guy who wanted to sell his for 450,000K [asking price], except it's a golden 1.6 SLX manual, and very good-looking. |
This is for Old Shame. Nice to chat wiv you here. I've been keenly following ur entries above on cars. I like to talk about cars very much. I'm presently using an early 90's Primera and i'm looking forward to trading it for a 4x4. Considering the 'niger' terrain, what economical ride would u best advise -in terms of cost? I have a liking for a Mit. Montero sport LE with full options - auto transmission, of course [incl. fog lamps, roof rack, chrome guard, etc. not the latest version anyway] Or a Nissan X-Terra. I observe u have mentioned bringing in Ford Explorer XLT for someone. I have this funny feeling about Ford autos in terms of parts availability, fuel economy, etc. What d'you think? |
