Am happy this thing cuts across different countries of the world and nobody will actually scream witch or wizard hunt, and d fact that it claimed it's first casualty (Iceland P. M) yesterday gives it more credibility. This is where our civil society organisations, Nlc n rights activists are supposed to roll out drums n lead people in protest but they won't because there is nothing in it for them. |

When will Saraki resign? |
WOruGunu:absolutely |
ElCapone:If he escapes this, then he is a very lucky man, cos d people fighting him are also very rich n are more resourceful. The grievance they av against him is very genuine politically so I think they will pursue dis to d end. When they (newPDP) were leaving to join APC, they were only lookin for escape route cos it appears PDP was loosing momentum den n they didn't want to sink with her, so all they negotiated with the APC that had already shared it's position was a return ticket n d state structures cos APC didn't really have leaders in there states n dey were given which made some founding members of APC uncomfortable n left, so they got eat they wanted but after d election they were to carried away thinking it's was their person that won APC d election not knowing it was the people's desire for change, so they went ahead of themselves n challenge wat was already on ground which even delayed the President's choice of SGF n Chief of staff. So u can see that they have bitten more than they can chew, so I think the theory now is "get Saraki (d big fish) out n send a huge message to other smaller rebels so they can turn around n work with d party or they face d same thing". Although whether he survive or not the APC especially d south-west caucus already see them as PDP members n it's already reclaiming it's lost members, example is Osoba n I believe many more will b reclaimed b4 2019. |

This is why I never supported d way PMB stood aloof while people were jostling for leadership position in d house of assembly, he ought to know dat he needed people who would work with him n had no personal agenda or are not over-ambitious, now dis is wat he will have to contend with. As for d house of assembly n those supporting them, wen d budget was submitted, we remember d drama dat followed it cos they claim it was padded, so dey delayed d passage because of dat, which we were not even sure if truly d budget was padded, but now dey the want d budget passed without d full details, who does that? |

Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state on
Monday described former Lagos state
Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as a pillar in
Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole.
Fayose said this in a congratulatory message
to mark Tiunbu’s 64th birthday.
Tinubu was born on March 29, 1952.
A statement issued by Mr Idowu Adelusi, the
Chief Press Secretary to Fasoye, said that the
APC national leader had over the years proven
to be a great political figure in the country.
``I heartily felicitate with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed
Tinubu as he clocks 64 on March 29.
``Whether one likes it or not, Asiwaju Tinubu
has become a political pillar and leader, not
only in Yorubaland but in Nigeria.
``He is a great politician who takes well-
calculated political steps.
``I and the good people of Ekiti State join
millions of Nigerians and Asiwaju Tinubu's
friends and supporters across the world to
rejoice with him on this auspicious occasion.
``Asiwaju Tinubu is a good case study when
one talks about political resilience and
doggedness and no wonder he now ranks
among the leaders of this great country.
``I pray that God gives him the grace to
witness many more years in sound health in
the land of the living,’’ Fayose was quoted as
saying in the statement. www.vanguardngr.com/2016/03/tinubu-pillar-leader-yorubaland-nigeria-fayose/ |

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he clocks 64 years on March 29. The President, according to a statement by Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, said the rising political profile of Mr. Tinubu since he was elected a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1992 was a testimony to his forthrightness, diligence and doggedness. Mr. Buhari said it was the same qualities that endeared him to the electorate and gave him all-round success as a private sector worker, a business man and two-three governor of Lagos State. The statement added, “As one of the pillars of the APC, President Buhari commends the visionary leadership style of the Asiwaju of Lagos, who is also the Jagaban of the Borgu Kingdom in Niger State, for creating a formidable opposition party in Nigeria that worked vigorously within a short period to oust a party that had been in power for 16 years. The President assures the national leader that his patriotism and commitment to democracy and good governance, and his generous spirit will always be remembered and appreciated by generations of Nigerians. “He prays that the Almighty God will grant the Asiwaju long life, good health, wisdom and prosperity as he steadfastly supports efforts to promote the development of Nigeria.” www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/200920-buhari-lavishes-praise-tinubu-says-hes-dogged-forthright-leader-politician.html

A suspected suicide
bomber intercepted in northern Cameroon on
Friday before she could blow herself up claimed
to be one of 219 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko
Haram in the Nigerian town of Chibok in 2014,
military and local government sources said.
Two girls carrying explosives were stopped by
local self-defence forces in the village of Limani,
in an area of northern Cameroon that has been
the target of frequent suicide bombings in recent
months.
They were then handed over to Cameroonian
soldiers belonging to a multi-national force set
up to take on Boko Haram.
In a high-profile attack that sparked a global
outcry, Boko Haram militants raided the school in
April 2014 while the girls were taking exams.
They loaded 270 of them onto trucks, though
around 50 escaped shortly afterwards.
"One of them indeed declared that she is one of
the Chibok hostages. She is around 15. We are
now verifying, because on the Nigerian side they
have the names and photos of these girls," said
local government administrator Raymond Roksdo.
Two military sources, who asked not to be
identified as they were not authorised to speak
to the press, also confirmed that the girl had
claimed to have been one of the Chibok
abductees.
"We need a few days to be able to confirm this
information. We have to debrief all the men who
were present and interrogate the two girls before
we can say anything," one of the military
sources said.
Former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan
was criticised for his slow reaction to the Chibok
abductions, seen by many as indicative of his
response to Boko Haram, which at its strongest
held large swathes of northeastern Nigeria. af.reuters.com/article/topNews/idAFKCN0WR15D |
