Abbycite:then I guess we should be praising Obasanjo too, since he also spent billions on electricity though we didn't see results in his time but going by ur theory, he should be praised since he also spent money on d sector if not even more than Jonathan.... Happiness87:And I can aswell tell u dat the major reason for fashola's success is dat he had Tinubu behind him who plays d politics in Lagos while he concentrated on governance n as per his business, I wish u knew most part of Lagos Island prior to 1999 n now, he developed the master plan which is wat fashola build on, he just accepted d fact that he is to lay d foundation n allow others to build, which is wat is killing some Governors, they want to do everything forgetting dat government is a continuum |
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday
said the mission of his administration is to
rebuild Nigeria into a competitive, virile,
strong and productive economy where the
citizens are creative, innovative, responsive,
accountable, incorruptible, patriotic and
diligent.
To achieve this, he told civil servants who are
in the habit of abandoning their duties to
brace up to the new realities of his
administration as he will personally hold them
collectively and individually responsible for
the planning and implementation of the
change contemplated by his administration.
The President, who spoke at the 2015
National Productivity Day and conferment of
National Productivity Order of Merit award,
said he has resolved to personally drive the
productivity crusade in the country and
directed the National Productivity Centre to
put in place machinery for him to launch the
productivity movement in Nigeria.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary,
Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity,
Dr. Clement Illoh, the President also directed
the establishment of productivity and
efficiency units in all Ministries, Departments
and Agencies of government to drive the
change agenda in the public sector.
He assured that the National Productivity
Centre will be encouraged and empowered to
ensure the Implementation of this directive
as well as to carry out its mandate of
ensuring a productive nation.
Buhari said: “We shall dedicate ourselves to
the ideals of resilience, integrity, excellence,
standards, goodwill, accountability, good
governance, patriotism and productivity. The
time has now come for all hands to be on
deck to work assiduously towards a new
improved, recharged and productive Nigeria.
“The hope of self reliance and self confidence
that we are capable of accepting the
challenges of nation building by practically
demonstrating that given the appropriate
opportunities, we can be as efficient and
effective as any group anywhere in the world.
“This administration assumed office at a time
when morale was at its lowest ebb at all
strata of the Nigerian society and the nation
was functioning as a rudderless ship. There
was a clear evidence that the system was
not working the way it should and the people
had even lost confidence and hope in the
government hence the inevitable clamour for
the much needed change.
“I wish to commend the usual great resilience
of our people and the speed at which they
woke up from slumber to respond to the
realities of our time. Given the right political
leadership and judicious management of
human and material resources the Nigeria of
our dream can still be attained.
“This is the onerous task that this
administration has taken upon itself and we
shall not rest on our oars in the quest to
achieve this objective. All we need is your
support, patience, loyalty, patriotism and
perseverance.”

Happiness87:You people really need to change ur perception of Tinubu, instead u should b inspired by his foresight and his leadership skills, wen he was Lagos state governor, he already knew where Lagos state will b in d future n so instead of storing money abroad or spending lavishly, he kept erecting structures in places though not strategic at dat time but because of his vision, he kept doing investing n now see how far he has reaped from wat he sow n through him 100s if not 1000s of young n promising entrepreneurs has risen n created employment for the people of Lagos, while others were ferrying money abroad, he kept sending money on errand in Lagos n now dat he is reaping they are wailing, imagine wat Bode George's stolen billions would have established. |
I will love to serve my country in dis capacity, especially d DSS, NIA or CID cos it's always been my passion but for naija here, if u are too diligent n truthful, na ur colleagues go arrange u, so make dem hold their job |
If u go by what u read online in dis country ehn, walahi u go think say na zoo e be truly like our biafra brothers call am, if u go to osun and get first hand information about wat is going on there, u will know dat d likes of Odumakin are just taking advantage of d current situation to gain cheap popularity in d state, if dey knew he wasn't doing well all along, why wait till now? Why didn't dey raise all dis issue den n who even knew he was from Osun before now?... Am from osun n I know how my state was prior to Aregbesola's government n I know wat it is now, I challenge Odumakin to walk side by side with Aregbesola on d streets of Osogbo and see who people will stone n who people will hail. U need to have been married to two husband for u to know hw to cherish one. That is just d sad truth, all I can say is people here on nairaland castigatin Aregbesola should just be happy there state never had previous Governors like Oyinlola, even with d way Ibori stole, his people believes he performed more dan Udu. |

StOla:One thing I know is they showed their colour too early and I think APC will only pamper dem till d next election and will not give dem the return ticket, although it's painful they took it too personal with Tinubu n they av forgotten that he is now like an institution in Nigeria politics already, just look at d number of publications n articles in d newspapers defending him, but I wish Tambuwal well sha.. |

I believe America will know where the report is, since they know everything about our country that even we the citizens don't know. So let's just send Oshiomole (Osho Baba) or Okorocha to go and help us ask them... |
No matter how he tries not to extend his probe beyond Jonathan's government, it's not just possible dat it won't get to OBJ, atleast it wasn't GEJ dat sold Nitel first n I remember Atiku was even in-charge of privatization den |
Haaaaahaaa, so the rich also cry? And bubu don sack some of their parents nao ooooo, well God go win for them since protest no dey allowed |

Brightology2:The Federal ministry of health as warned that WAILERS are liable to die young |
ArodewilliamsT:And he will surprise u dis time |
Visiting d wrong person, just visit Tinubu and he will just give Rauf a call and dats it, ask Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, he visited d right people while d prince was counting on d presidency |
I believe it shouldn't just stop at the NNPC alone, we should start running most of our revenue generating agencies like a corporate organization instead of civil service stuff, n let people know dat once u are there, u aren't like everyother civil servant n there is strict rules, ones u mess up, u are shown d way since there are thousands to replace u, and I believe by so doing, alot will cum into d government pocket outside d oil revenue, LASAA in Lagos is a case study, dey generate in a month more dan some states IGR in 5 months........ Just imagine hw customs, Firs, Frsc, Nimasa, Npa, and others will bring in.. |
The Comptroller General of the Nigeria
Customs Service, Abdullahi Dikko Inde
has thrown in the towel.
Daily Sun gathered that the Customs boss
resigned following indication that he
would be fired by President
Muhammadu Buhari.
It was also gathered that ever since
President Buhari came into power, Inde
has made spirited efforts to be in his
good books to no avail.
Sources revealed that since the result of
the March presidential election was an
nounced, the Customs boss, who backed
former president Goodluck Jonathan,

position of the ACG Headquarters from
there and in no time, he was made the
Comptroller-General of Customs.
