YOU CAN QUESTION MY INTEL BUT YOU CAN QUESTION THE RESULT BECAUSE IT IS THE ANSWER. in as much i support the military i will say what i get from intel. the jet was shotdown by a manpads. if it was a tecnical fault the pilot would have communicate to his base before crashing and it would have giving the opportunity for the naf to track the pilot location immediately. from the crash you can jet see the jet on ground how it spiece the from wheel. the naf will sent message to that bastard. the naf will attack with lastest arament.the CDS have order a revenge mission in next 72 hour.may the soul of the faithful departed rest in peace
As usual, your information is extremely wrong. For starters while its known that JAS had acquired a few 9K32 Strela MANPADs a few years ago, their serviceability was in question as the launchers were all missing their thermal batteries which is a critical component and hard to acquire, without which, the launchers proportional navigation guidance system wouldn't function. The entire canister is as good as a toy.

The only known use of a MANPAD by JAS was back in 2015 during a high intensity combat operation on the Mandara Mountains. JAS unsuccessfully launched one Strela MANPAD against a strafing A-jet and that was it.

Secondly, if you has watched the video, you would see the A-Jet already trailing smoke before it went down. The explosion was a doctored image. The wreckage of the jet was also intact on the ground along with the pilots' bodies. This is indicative of the fact that DID NOT explode mid-air as seen in JAS's doctored image. It was more likely a catastrophic mechanical failure brought about by maybe a lucky enemy AAA hit on a critical component or a technical fault that prevented a safe ejection before the crash.

Additionally as you may not be aware, all NAF pilots and aircraft have beacons and transponders incase of emergencies. The problem was that the jet went down in a contested battle space, behind enemy lines, so friendly ground force were not able to reach the crash site 48 hours later even as JAS snapped pictures. A part of me is happy the pilots didn't safely eject and land into the hands of the enemy.

In conclusion, no it was not a MANPAD and there will not be any "revenge mission" as you falsely allude apart from ongoing operations within the Tura Takaibango II's mandate. NAF has also not received any "latest armament" yet as its still using rockets, Mk.82 bombs and ATGM's it has always used with great effect and no, we don't have "nuclear RAAD II missiles"

Please respect the thread for once and not use this tragedy to score cheap Internet points.

good morning thread. i will be leaving the thread. but my critic should mark my word on the heavy weight jet. iswap have plan a major attack on two to three location at once but the 72 moblie strike force will do God work on them. the offensive two have begin since last week monday. mrap, mbt , cameroon bir will be in the operation. according to what i heard the navy have been patroling the lake chad which have affected there supply. good bye friend
The 72nd Mobile Strike Force was disbanded since 2017 and most troops in the unit were absorbed into the larger 707 Special Forces Brigade. The 72 MSF no longer exists as a unit in any shape or form. You can't possibly claim that JF-17's sortied a few hours after delivery, even before being integrated into NAF's operational infrastructure, with nuclear capable RAD-II cruise missiles (which Pakistan hasn't even mass produced) against motorcycle bandits in the NW and now claim Nigeria is considering buying F-35's.

If you insist on leaving after being called out for spewing fabrications, then so be it. Its like you were trained by SSBN.

If you say your info on ops in the NE is legit, then stick to that and stop engaging in fantasies please.

oga igpro i never said nigeria have order f35 i only said it was a nomination which will be determine after the president meeting with joe biden next month. and i did not mention only f35 i mention both j17, su35 su 57 j10 everything will come out just a matter of time. mark my words
How is anyone taking this guy seriously at this point. Even after the JF-17 RAAD-II childish lie. Its painfully obvious he knows close to nothing about military affairs, geo-politicts or even Nigeria's diplomatic and strategic limitations. I've noticed that the kid even has multiple accounts where he engages himself in a convoy.

Honestly, the typical quality of this thread has really taken a dip. It was once filled to the brim with highly intellectual and academic discussions on Nigerian defence and good pictures. It was solid content. I wish we could have a moderator.

LMAO, some silly people were saying that the JF-17's were not only reassembled in a few hours after their delivery, but already fully integrated into NAF's operational infrastructure and dropping RAAD-II payloads on motorcycle bandits in the NW all IN A FEW SHORT HOURS. Bro even said NAF allowed him to visit the hangers and actually had some people who should have know better belive him and even defended him. LOL

if people said something on this thread some people in their house will be insulting them. i know the j 17 was in the country since sunday but my guy said i should not disclosed because they were give order not to do so. the raad2 was in use in the attack in zamfara and lake chad region on monday and tuseday. for the love i have from my good friend in this thread, those who supported me, those who encourage me even when other insulted me, i will say i love you and thanks. i do pay to get intel sometime just to keep you guy updated but some guy will be insulting and abusing. . for my friend in this thread ONE LOVE. no matter what i will be with you guy. the raad 2 , a nuclear warhead was used to attack zamfara
The JF-17 just arrived on Sunday along with PAF technical team. Its still in the process of being assembled and hasn't even been handed over yet, yet you're telling us the jets were involved in combat missions on two separate fronts a few hours after delivery. You can't blame anyone if they decide not to take you seriously now!

Additionally, not only is RAAD-II cruise missile not in any way nuclear armed, but its still in its early stage of testing Pakistan. The missile hasn't even been delivered to PAF yet and you're here confidently spewing nonsense saying NAF has already deployed them in combat? Lol

The Nigerian army continues to be severely underfunded despite successive governments coming into power.

We are talking since Yar'adua, I mean it is wrong for anyone to ask the army to give what they don't have.

Procurement history of Nigeria is abysmal, we seem really satisfied buying in single digits.

This is also reason I doubt the 24 units M-346 Africa Intelligence story. Also it's hard to believe speculators like on twitter like Beegeagle when the actual facts state a totally different story.
Thats the thing. The money is there, but it depends on what kind of service chiefs you have to get it as CAS Saddiqe has shown. He was not only a military man, but a politcian as well. He knew who to talk to, who wine and dine with to increase NAF budget.

With any luck Irabor and Attahiru seem much better than the immediate past leadership of NA. I have a feeling we'll be seeing additional acquisitions for the army this year under their watch.

Also on the new jets, new articles keep popping from all over, which seem all too detailed to be passed off as a rumour but we'll have to wait and see

- 2 SH-5 (105mm)

- 6 units of VT4

- 6 units of ZTL-09

- 2 CH-3

- 4 CH-4

- 2 Wing Loong-2

- 2 FPB-100

- 1 FPB-72

- 6 A109k ( 4 delivered)

- 2 FCS-3307

- 1 LST-100

- 3 JF-17 Thunder

- 300 9M114 Anti-Tank missiles for MI-35M

- 12 units of MI-35M (7 units delivered)

- 5 units of KLTV-181

- 8 units of Phantom-2

- 2 units of Citation-3 maritime patrol aircraft

- 400 units of APKWS anti tank missiles for Tucano

I find the acquisition to be quite underwhelming and uninspiring, especially for the Nigerian army.

We pick one here and we pick one there.

Notably missing is NNS Lana, and the C-falcon boats.
Can I please get the link?

Frankly, it's quite amazing how the Bigfoot seems to have outlived the Caimans, Maxxpros and the long extinct "almighty" REVA. Chinese hardware has really come a long way in quality control.
