The Yoruba and the Igbo despite the rivalry and sometimes the unease between both of them have never taken up arms one against the other. They are brothers who have lost heritage and the sense of who they both truly are.

Many northern minorities share the same plight with the Yorubas, they have sought to subjugate them for long, by hook or crook. There is no concord between Fulanis and Yorubas, and this is the same with all the other tribes they have successfully used, you either accept to be used or you become an enemy.

In the fullness of time, all will be laid bare and you will understand what I am saying.

i don't know whether what you are saying is true or not, i don't care to know. But what i know is that the day this two foolish tribes(howbeit intelligent)of Yoruba and ibo decide to bury the hatchet,forgive and embrace each other ...Hmm, that is the day retrogressive s will quite burning to rule and then Nigeria can truly progress .

It is a well known fact that all bigger nations always wants to subjugate the minority and when you look at the events before the civil war it is evident that the North only succeeded in beating you at your own game by probably making a better deal with the West who was already suspecting Ojukwu to be running with a communist ideology at the height of the Cold War.

If the event had turned out in your favor we would still be speaking the same language of oppression and subjugation though it would have been a little better but the voice of resentment would have been more vocal and I srongly feel that a lot would have happened.
Y'all run with the same mindset but it's too late - you'll either accept us as equal partners with a different distinct people to untie ourselves from what was your fault or go declare your Biafra let's see how that pans out.

I for one fought against my Yoruba friends(in real life) over the issue of Diezanni, GEJ and Alams,passionately and stubbornly defending them against what i felt was injustice against a kin and never for once thinking of YOUR OIL(what is my own with crude?). All that was until i read your post above......

had same experience In my JSS3 one very fine girl wrote me a love letter in my extramural class; and to form the big boy, i read it out loud to all my boys who had a good laugh at the girl while she watched, after which i went straight too her and handed her shreds of the Letter.
in my SS1 there is this girl i liked, instead of telling her, every day i will show up at her house borrowing endless novels i didn't really need to read, and then she will do the same thing, come to my house to borrow novels too so the cycle continued till i left town...

while i respect your opinion, i think it is wrong infact it smirks of inferiority complex to grade an Igbo traditional ruler based on his recognition by other rulers in Nigeria. Based on your submission, all igbo traditional rulers including the obi himself are inferior to the sultan of sokoto, Oba of Lagos and OONI of ife etal since these ones have more public acclaim in Nigeria and even beyond.
I think a rulers greatness should be measured by the greatness of the people he rules not his recognition by other rulers........are we still tryingto define ourselves by the opinion of our neighbors?

My Yoruba friends Left their real enemy ,infact the Enemy of Peace,Unity of Nigeria and are running after igbos who for the past 50 years of doing business in Differnt Parts of Nigeria including Lagos have never been heard to attack their Host. Igbos are even the least people interested in Political power in this country; yet my Yoruba friends have not smelled the coffee brewed in the north for them. The moment you succeed in Chasing igbo out of West expecially Lagos that is if you can, expect the rise of the Almajiri Population not just to dominate your land but to grab by violence political power and your religious freedom, the 2 thingsthey are always intoxicated with.

Aresa IMO State built her airport strictly with state funds over 20 years ago, and i mean an airport handling real flights daily not for decoration.....am checking wakanow for flights to Dutse and NOTHING! not a single flight is going there, not even in a month!!!!

Hello Arase, these are not pictures of neighborhoods and streets but government installations. were do ordinary northerners live and were are the houses built by hardworking middle class northerners, i think that's the focus of this dick measuring contest; Unless you want me to believe people in the north sleep in government offices,mosques and tarred roads.
My unbiased judgement; you have the most siting of government installations and roads but asides that nothing......
