Op what did you steal from her too?
Or you think the premarital sex you've been having with her without bride price isn't stealing?
Both of you are directly and indirectly stealing from yourselves
Return all the premarital sex you had with her before having the moral right to call her thief.
Both of you fit each other

She should go and collect the sex back nah, what is holding her.

Most of you fail to read between the lines and largely clouded by emotions.

If all was well, why was her trip to the barren land not approved by the parents?

Where is the father of the kid in this whole hullabaloo?

Where is the father of the child's family?

Even if the kid is dead, why wasn't she informed?

She said she visited a relative she thought her parents could drop the kid with, the relative said she didn't know her kid is even in the country! Why?

We are talking about her biological father and mother here. Why are they withholding information or her kid from her?

Everything points to the fact that it's a dysfunction relationship/family and the lady is hiding something she is not willing to let you online relative knowπŸ˜‚

Am the one with the emotion and yet you are the one with the outburst. Between the line reader, well done oh, you know her so well to know that she is hiding something, like you've met her. Olodo

You may however not be able to hear the other side of the story but I can boldly tell you there is more to what she wrote here.

What gave you that boldness, I would like to know. Have you met the op before. Have u seen her engage in prostitution before. How did u come to this conclusion. This is why thousands of innocent Nigerians are in prison today; because the police could boldly tell that there is more to what these innocent people said, and therefore judged them based on previous experiences even though their case might be unique

Should we safetly conclude that any Nigerian female that goes to Togo go there to engage in prostitution. Like, all Nigerian females currently in Togo are prostitutes. Like there aren't Nigerian female teachers there, there aren't Nigerian female tailors there, there aren't Nigerian female traders there, there aren't Nigerian female event decorators there, please enlighten me.

Of course my post can only make sense to real human beings not internet BOT.
There is no missing 3yr old in the article, the child being asked after by her wayward mother would definitely be a 5yr old now.

The parents and her siblings are playing the card well. Stress the shameless absentee mother well and see what her breaking point would be.

Her expectation is to return like the biblical prodigal son and have feast thrown on her behalf with her daughter she didn't bother to care for robed in colourful dress. That's the grand delusion .

How do u know all these, pls tell me I would like to learn. You just hear a story and you have already spun a strange narrative even without carrying out an investigation. How can you make assumptions on a sensitive issue that require concrete evidence.

There are humans with cancer, but that does not mean that every human you encounter have cancer.

There are vehicles with suspension problems, but that doesn't mean that every vehicle you encounter has suspension problem.

There are ladies who abandon their kids and flee to Togo to engage in prostitution, but that doesn't mean that every lady whose kid is is Nigeria while she is in Togo abandoned that kid to engage in prostitution.

The problem with hasty generalization is that the innocent usually take the brunt.

She said it but someone who had no money to make phone call. Before I can believe everything she said I must hear from her parents. It is dangerous to just jump into conclusion like that

So she can't send money when she has money on hand. Is that it. Aren't there times when you lack money, does that means money don't eventually comes so you could settle your bills.

If you really want to hear both sides of a story, don't judge one side already like you've done. Keep mute and process things in your mind till you actually hear both sides.

The truth is not hidden wink They are scared stiff of how she will take the news. She may go again and never come back . That will wreck her already devastated father. Her father is already grieving and don't want to lose his daughter again. Counselling can help all of them especially OP.
She should calm down and let them see she has improved in her mental health

How do u know all these.
Do u live with them. How can u deduce all of these without having a discussion with any of her family members. Do u just hate the op?

Hmmm...seems you are irresponsible and simply want to free yourself of the little girl at age 3...you travelled and abandoned her.

However, they owe you accountability. They need to show you the child you abandoned, dead or alive. They owe you that.

I would suggest you calm down, meet the most respected man/woman in your extended family, to come into the situation.

If this doesn't work out as expected, you can get them arrested.

Note: I hope you have concrete evidence that you 'abandoned' your child with them. Otherwise, they can turn the table and have you rot in jail for false accusations.

Entrusting your daughter to somebody who you trust so much is now abandonment. Wow, we learn everyday. Thanks

I just went back to the story to see that he was even sending money to cater for the upkeep of this abandoned child , wow, never know it was possible to cater for a child while you have already abandoned him, we learn everyday. Thanks

I've been on Nairaland since 2013 and I began my life as a writer here. Today Im a legend in the literature section. I read and write a lot but no longer on Nairaland because of so much scam and foul-mannered characters. Indeed, this is my third comment since last year January. The second omment was made just minutes ago and the first months back.

I chose to respond to you for 3 reasons.

1. As a veteran writer I'm a boss. I mentor over 200 writers from different parts of the world but the majority are from Nigeria and many are right here on NL. There is nothing i have not seen in this business including too many stories like yours.

2. Your attitude.
You act and sound like withholding someone's money is your right! and heaven won't fall.

3. Your last comment to @charlesdinho
Mentally weak species you said. Well I'm not mentally weak so let's go.

Let's start with a little story.
I was driving sometime last month when i met an old friend and took him to a nearby joint for some drinks. The lady promptly started complaining that he owes her 5500 naira. This is a guy whose 30k debt i had to forgive a while back because of his evasive nature.

So this woman was asking for her money and my friend was like.... my name is Wodu89: and it is my right not to pay you till it suits me besides my business is not doing well and i told you so shut up and wait.....
Simply put he was making mouth.

The woman ended up calling the police from a station just a little way down the street and my guy was arrested.
I had to do a lot of talking and stood as guarantor to avoid jail and bail things. I dropped the last 2k on me and promised he would bring the rest within 2 days. They accepted, we dropped our phone numbers and left.

Two days later, the police called me. My guy had dropped a fake number and I was the one they could get. I called my guy and he said i should not worry that nothing will happen.
In anger I sent the DPO both his numbers and promised to drop his home address or take them there myself if they don't see the money in 7 days.
The fool was angry at me for casting him but las las he paid.

Take note that...
1. The police didn't want to hear his many tales of woes in business
2. The money involved was very small. Four times smaller than what you owe.

When i started my writing career I was defrauded by a very popular Nairalander called simonhaby from South Africa using your present technique. I gave him my first work, a novel of over 100k words in 32 chapters. I never saw a penny till today yet that book circulated wide and far even to bookstores and libraries' in the USA. I know because it still carries the original title I gave it. It made best seller on Okadabooks in 2016

Simon was a veteran writer before me. He promised to mentor me. Promised to work on my book, edit and give it a new name before he could even publish it to his new website because i was a novice but had talent. I was excited, was expecting dividends within months. I worked hard and slept little but was happy I had finally found work . At the end... after months of waiting... it was just a scam .

I won't call you a scammer just yet but you strike me as one who doesn't want to pay money you owe.

Your story is too long and complex and your mouth too much.
It is not UmarSEO s place to understand and appreciate your predicament, if at all real, but it is his place to collect his money by all and every means, even the police will help him by first putting you in a cell. Situations' like these are why you have people and companies file for bankrupcy protection or taking the legal status of limited liability ... ... LTD

Telling him to wait till August to get his money is bullshit but you know what? It's the classsical scam now.
Clever scammers who realize they can be tracked or blacklisted to forstall future business online no longer say they won't pay but rather sound like you.... they will pay but you must wait for now. At the end of the day... weeks and months later they still can't pay.

You owe someone money and you are saying you don't have time for his nonsense?
You block him too?

Bro, you are lucky you are not dealing with me now that i have money to spend and experience. I would have had all the accounts linked to your BVN frozen then blocked you. For months you'll be running from piller to post and only my signature can help you but you will never get it.

Your character sulks!

Please bro help me, he is owing me too
If u see the work I did for him and he is so arrogant about it, if u see his excuses bro, u will cry, it becomes obvious he doesn't want to pay. He even insults me for not understanding his so called predicament. Bro, I worked my ass of for this guy, even had problems in my work place cos I used all my time to write for him. He made money from my work, oya pay me nah, he refused. I almost died of one illness that I needed to solve with this money. Do u k ow that this dude did not just care at all. Bro please I would like him to be tracked. He messed up the lives of many nairalanders who worked for him

Funny thing, I have been in this situation.

While working somewhere in the middle belt I had this apartment I use, it's a twin apartment and the other side was been used by a very pretty young lady doing are residency in the teaching hospital. We really don't talk that much after normal and usual greetings and I no wan overdo. That very day I was home alone and it turned cloudy, I saw some of Drs clothing's on the line so I decided to help out. Lying underneath a wrapper were undies. Bras panties and G-strings. I was confused on what to do and I left for inside. Rain started and my conscience won't allow me so I went back and helped her back them. Aunty came after her call and Knocked, I was making cupcakes and that ugly moment set in. The incident made us close I meant a little bit close for comfort that I had to let go after few months. Oh and I enjoyed some incentives from the rapport

What type of incentives, let me know whether to start helping ladies pack their pants
