PoliticsRe: South-west Polls Results By Bantu Page by SharpD: 1:49pm On Jan 05, 2023
Peter Obi will win this election on the first ballot going by the mode of electorates.
If you analyse by region, Obi wins SE, SS and NC and closely come second in the SW behind APC leaving the remaining 2 regions for APC, PDP and NNPP to share.
If you analyse with swing states, then Obi wins Rivers with a wide margin and slightly edge APC in Lagos leaving Kano for NNPP, PDP and APC to share. Now if you are objective, tell me how Peter Obi will not win this election?

so I can't travel by bus? See how dull you people are? My guys in Germany take buses and trains. Besides even if I took flight there's no airport in my town so I will still end up in a bus.
If you are doing well then flight to the nearest town and then a connecting bolt/uber ride to your village will do you a lot of convenience. I can confirm you are suffering and deserve to suffer for another 8 years.

What i still find insulting to sensible nigerians is how APC thinks that the electorates should vote their party on the basis of a written manifesto as if they have fulfilled the promises of their 2015 and 2019 manifesto. This people really thinks nigerians are dummies.

So if El-Rufai interview is an old interview, does it mean Tinubu is now younger and has more strength than when the interview was granted?. It will be in our best interest as Nigerians to accept the truth in spite of party affiliation.

From 2007 - 2015 import restriction was removed

Foreign rice. 50kg N9,000
Local rice. 50kg. N4,000

From 2015 till date import is restricted
Foreign rice. 50kg N35,000
Local rice. 50kg. N30,000

God bless you. I know if not for restriction foreign rice would still be affordable. Restriction only made both foreign and local rice beyond the reach of the common man. Imagine a bag of rice being higher than minimum wage. Obi all the way jare....

Obi is right

I can bet it with you that 50% of people involved in endsars protest which are majorly 95% southern Nigerians will not go out on the election day.

The agitation you're portraying here is just like the tiktok trend that youth always follow bumper to bumper until the euphoria wane of overtime, a clear recent example to not use any online activity to weigh in on political matter in Nigeria system when it comes to us is the current Russian-Ukraine brouhaha, my man when last did you hear about any particular strong opinion from this nairaland forum dominated by youth makes headline on the war matter? Why the sudden forgetfulness and remember there was a time we got more than 6 post daily about it online here just few month ago... suddenly the youth here become uninterested and go back to look for something new.

Youth are nothing in Nigeria dispensation and that's why nothing will change and we will remain at the bottom of the barrel as a nation. The youth are cowards and northern youth don't share southern youth opinion for obvious reason you already know as I presumed you to be a learned individual since you can give an opinion that pass cognitive test.
I use to think this way before now but I have to disagree with you because of what I saw today in PH. I was surprise when I could not go out for an official assignment today because of heavy downpour. To my surprise I i fanally got out to find out that a lot of youths defied the rain to join the solidarity walk for Peter Obi. I am convinced the youths are determined to take the bull by the horn this time around.

I agree with you.
In my state which is a core pdp state in the ss region, both apc and pdp supporters are already queing up for obi presidency. The mantra now is to deliver pdp in all other positions while Obi takes the presidential election. This presidential election will be interesting because people are voting for individuals not party.

DaddyFreeze2020:
Both Tinubu and Shettima are capitalising on the efforts of their successors to campaign for Presidency.

Tinubu capitalises on Fashola and Ambode's efforts to develop Lagos State while Shettima is using Gov. Zulum's projects in Borno State.

Many of the projects in Lagos State BAT campaign team uses to campaign for BAT were not developed by Bola Tiinubu. That's the same campaign template Shettima wants to also use.
God bless you for this comment. I can remember vividly when Tinubu openly said that his successor Fashola has performed more than him and it was clear for everyone to see. But suddenly because of propaganda campaign everything good about Lagos is now attributed to Tinubu as if he has been the only governor in Lagos.

RomanceRe: Her In-Law Advises Me Against Marrying Her by SharpD: 11:45am On Apr 05, 2020
There are questions you should be asking your friend like;
1. When he gave his consent initially did he not know that there is a curse on the girls family?
2. The curse that he claims to be fighting from his wife's family can he point to anything tangible that you can relate with?
3. If it is true he is fighting a spiritual battle then how did he know it is from the wife's family.

You need to understand that it is not every body you should listen to when it comes to spiritual counsel as regards who you want to marry. I had an experience about a self acclaimed prophetes who told me not to marry my wife because of spiritual reasons from her family. I ignored her and went ahead with my marriage and we are still happily married with kids.

I can relate to your present predicament. Since the landlord is not willing to cooperate with you on this, I will advise you go to their office and plead for them to set you up on a flexible payment plan say 20% debt and 80% units each time you recharge. That way you will be able to service the debt and still get units while you are staying in the apartment and then plan your exit when your rent expires. Meanwhile i will like to know which disco you are connected to.

Madam ,the main issue here is that you are not comfortable with a third party in your home at this early stage of your marriage and can deduce it from your last paragraph. May be you would have wanted to explore your husband the more and be more expressive when you are alone with your husband. To make matters worst, you are staying in a one bedroom flat which means the sitting room has been converted to your BIL bedroom. Just manage the situation and treat him as your brother since you had earlier agreed with your husband to accommodate him.

RICHIE BOI: soon he will. then PDP will beg him to come back. you think Amaechi is not in secret talks with ACN. I pity GEJ.
If he joins ACN then he is lone ranger because PDP is still the party to beat in the south. If Amaechi is allowing the Abokis to use him against his brother then he is a fool because the northerners will never join forces with others to fight their own.
PoliticsNGF Election: Northern Govs Divided Over Amaechi, Shema by SharpD(op): 11:25am On May 24, 2013
A new chairman for the Nigeria Governors’ Forum will be elected on Friday (today) by the 36 state chief executives in the country.

This is coming as the governors of 19 northern states were unable to take a decision on who they should support among those jostling for the position.
The inability of the governors to reach a compromise was said to have been responsible for the failure of the northern governors, under the aegis of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, to meet in Abuja on Thursday.
It was learnt that the governors would now meet on Friday before the election to see if they would be able to find some common ground.
While some were said to be rooting for the incumbent, who is also the Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, some others were said to be supporting the Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Ibrahim Shema, or the latest entrant to the race, Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State.
It was however learnt that the governors from the zone who do not belong to the Peoples Democratic Party were said to have made their position known that they would support Amaechi for the job.
A northern governor, who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “We are at a crossroads. This is a trying period for us in the region.
“Some of our colleagues are saying we should not allow anyone to dictate to us while the others are saying we should support one of our own for the job.
“Those in the opposition parties are saying that the Forum does not belong to the Peoples Democratic Party alone.
“Even in the PDP, we could not agree on who to support. That was why we did not meet, but we hope to meet on Friday.”
The governor said a majority of his colleagues from the region believed that both Shema and Yuguda were being foisted on the Forum by external forces.
In the meantime, investigations by our correspondent in Abuja on Thursday indicated that there might be more chairmanship aspirants than expected.
Sources at the secretariat of the Forum said there might be more aspirants for the position of the chairman.
A source said that some governors had called to say that they were on their way to file their nomination papers for the office.
The source said, “The race for the chairmanship of the Forum is interesting, because this is the first time the office is attracting so much attention.
“Already, both Amaechi and Shema have filed their papers, and some have called to say that they are on their way. We are waiting for them.
“Before now, there was no much publicity and acrimony on who would lead the Forum. But now that has changed.”
The source, who declined to name those “on their way” to file nomination forms, however said there would be no rancour after the election.
It was not clear if the Governor of Abia State, Chief Theodore Orji, was able to file his papers.
Orji was a candidate in the earlier botched attempt to elect Amaechi’s successor.
The coming to the race by Yuguda was said to have been at the instance of President Goodluck Jonathan who was said to have been shocked that Shema was not too keen about the position.
Shema’s opponents, it was learnt, were said to be spreading the information that the governor was being used by the Presidency to fight Vice-President Namadi Sambo.
They alleged that Shema might be used to replace the Vice-President in the 2015 election as Jonathan’s running mate.
PoliticsYou’ll Account For Our Women, Children Someday – Northern Elders Tell Jonathan by SharpD(op): 11:07am On May 24, 2013
Northern elders yesterday spurned the benevolence by President Goodluck Jonathan ordering the release of terror suspects from prisons across the region, saying he would at some point in time be made to account for the women and children seized by security agents based on unverified terrorism charges.

The northern elders are miffed that the Federal Government under President Jonathan, allowed innocent women and children, who should be spared even in times of war, to be taken captive and incarcerated in dehumanising conditions for many months without trial.
The elders, who spoke to Vanguard yesterday through their spokesman, Prof Ango Abdullahi, noted.
with dismay that the administration had allowed innocent women and children to suffer untold hardship for offences they did not commit.
Abdullahi said: “Let me tell you that what the government did by ordering the release of suspected terrorists was borne out of shame and guilt being suffered by it for clamping innocent women and children into detention camps or what you may call Nigeria’s ‘Guantanamo Bay’, which are scattered all over the place.
“We note with delight that at last common sense has prevailed and the embattled families have regained their freedom. But we hasten to add that this government must account for the women and children from the North, who they took into unwarranted detention.
“As far as we are concerned the release of the so-called terror suspects should have been done long ago as long as this people were not tried or charged.
“To us what the President has done is borne out of embarrassment the government is suffering at home and abroad over the arbitrary detention of innocent women and children. The NEF took very serious exception to the latest threat by militant leader, Dokubo Asari to match the opposition bullet by bullet if Jonathan was not re-elected in 2015, saying that it was a threat to national security.”
In spite of the threat, however, NEF said that while Dokubo did not have the monopoly of war, it
should be clear to him and his sponsors that the country was bigger than a militant leader and his cohorts, who are speaking from both sides of their mouth for pecuniary reasons.
“From the antecedents of Asari Dokubo, we believe that he is making these empty boasts apparently
because of the filthy lucre he is getting from pipeline contracts and the promise of more. But we can bet that he would be the first person to flee to the creeks if the war he is threatening breaks out.
“If not that he is being sponsored by the corridors of power to make this repulsive threat, the best would have been to ignore it as mere ranting of a confused individual looking for cheap gains”
