Both dru and Felicity contribute a lot to this forum. Felicity has moved on and is now driving a different vehicle and dru has moved on and sold his. Further dragging this will only cause a divide and/or ostracize one or the other.
I feel Felicity should apologize GENUINELY for anything he may have done that shook dru's trust in him whether it was intentional or not. I think it was not telling dru about it not the actual going out of town that originally pained dru. I know I hate it when I find things out from third parties.
In turn, dru should apologize for using ogbon agba to collect his car from Felicity why? Because he left Felicity in a state of uncertainty as to a source of income when he could have simply told him immediately after he seized the car so he could go seek a new source of income. I think that is what pains Felicity who had a pregnant wife at home.

So when the mechanic was done fixing the car he came for.. It was than we told the mechanic that we have officially collected the car from you .. It was than we ask him to clean out the junk in the car .. As he was cleaning out the junk we now found the plastic bag and Mobil xhp 20w50 AKA engine killer..
So I told my mechanic what is 20w50 doing in the booth of the car instead of the Mobil 1 extended performance. He said he didn't know , the mechanic has been the one doing oil in that car. Anytime the car is due for oil change you call us , and you come to the house and pick up the oil to take to the mechanic.. It is me that still pays for the oil change.
So when we took the car from you, you kept calling us when will the car be ready, my team told you that when the car is ready will call you. You kept calling several times about the car .. You even called "Jide" the guy that helps us at times. Jide just ignored you cause we told him we have collected the car from you ..
So you finally you hit me up on whatapps about the car. You were telling me that the car is taking too long to fix .. It is when I finally told you that " your services " is no longer needed " .. You said we sold a lemon car .. Before selling the car the issue with the car was oil consumption and other issues . We spend money trying to solve the issue etc .. Mechanic that we took it to were doing try and error etc.. They couldn't solve a simple problem that they are capable of solving.. So I sold the car and move on .. The parts for civics are cheap. The car was sold wetin just less than 1 week .. The new owner if patient enough will fix it.. Me I didn't have the patient for try and error fixing.....

JP, whatever business model u have chosen, good for you. Your decisions are as a result of making this basically your major source of income (maybe) and you are trying to protect it, I understand that as well, even the bible says where your treasure is lies your heart. The issue alot of people are having with you is the fact you try to shove your model down our throat and make it look like it's the best decision so far. You obviously don't understand it costs more to find and retrain a new employee than it does to retain an old one. Same as customers. You obviously also don't understand what it takes to build LOYALTY and employee buy-in/ownership in your mission.
The companies that started fresh are struggling with new employees. Not to put my business out there but I made sure not to let ANYONE go during lockdown (even the ones I was thinking of firing before). I informed them because there was no income I could only afford to pay 40% and they were okay with that. How? FROM PROFITS WHEN THE GOING WAS GOOD. I prioritized their safety and opened later than other businesses. It was the employees who insisted they would take the risk and go to work until they couldn't. THEY came up with a plan where they took turns running a skeleton crew. Why? I was thinking of them and in turn they thought of me. They understand we are a TEAM through the good and the bad.
During lockdown they did everything they could to stay open or continue doing business quietly. Guess what? EVERY MONTH SINCE SEPTEMBER THEY HAVE BROKEN THE PREVIOUS SALES RECORD and IN MY ABSENCE! They are currently posting numbers almost DOUBLE what they posted before all the katakata started. Their productivity is through the ROOF and my complaints/mistakes are the lowest they've ever been, even with the ones I was considering firing. I have been contacted by other frustrated businesses owners asking what I did to make my employees so loyal as they tried to poach them repeatedly and they won't budge. I just tell them I treat them like I like to be treated. Even one of the so called "bad NL Uber drivers" now works for me and can testify to this if he chooses to reveal himself.
So please stop coming to this thread to insult and demoralize people trying to make a living. Create an Uber owner partner thread where you can criticize, insult and advice all you want and no one will bother you but savvy business man you are not in my opinion.

The key to success for any interstate transport system is FIRST having your own park where you control income from ticketing. At point of loading, the driver is given only money that will start and finish his journey (fuelling)... If you believe you can sit at home and give one driver a sienna bus to be driving and paying weekly delivery, your own is GOBE ooo .. you will hear stories like 'Oga, many buses dey ground, we never load since 2days' or if you think by giving buses on delivery agreement with transport company owners sorry is your own 'they first load their own buses before urs'
Another Key to success is understanding that the longest routes isn't always the money spinner... Lagos to Benin is a shorter route that delivers on the same as Lagos to Control - portharcourt.
I can go on and on ... But do your swot analysis hundred times... The transport system in Nigeria will change the analysis narrative by the time you venture into it...
If you don't own a car park around jibowu, iyana ipaja, ojota, ajah, ojulegba etc.. please don't throw money into interstate
Till you are able to sit at each major car parks from 5am till 9am and monitor flow of passenger and money ...then bring your swot analysis...
