Felicity0001: You dare not allow rider to update trip what so ever, I've experience this more than twice on uber, the moment you update trip especially if the request came in with a surge and it's later updates believe you me such trip will be calculated base on the present update.
My last experience waz about 3weeks ago. I was in Surulere one evening when I got this 3rd party card trip to Unilag area, on our way the girl said she would be going to isolo afterwards. I complained that I needed cash instead and then we agreed to offline.
1stly I was addressing BOLt app... Diff strokes.for different app
And for ur analogy You got a trip in Surulere without surge, U updated in a surge area and U re expecting to have d trip updated wit d surge area... Kolewek naa
For Uber once am on round trip, I update from.my own end and even after d KM and Time I also calculate manually to be sure we re on dsame page
On getting to Yaba, different request was just balling in and even with surge as high as 3.0. Before her friend joined us in the ride we tried to settled price for the offline trip by checking the estimate which was around N3500-5000. Babe refused to pay 5k, in my thinking make I just run am like that with the card believing the sum up would get to 6k at the end of trip.
I updated the trip from my end and the girl asked her bf to also upsate from his end as well unknowing to me, which ever way I believed the surge in the area as at then would up.
Trip lasted about 2hrs to get to her destination, lo and behold trip ended N3,400 or thereabout.
My brother I almost cry.
Best thing is just leave the app to be running like that with the first request while you input the address on Gmap.
I've also experience a surge trip cancelled out to update of address on the app. I mailles uber but no proof to backup my claim. I just rest. |

Beng1234: Bros, I updated the trip ooooo. E pass 2km. I personally off automatic requests and did update. From omole, we go ogba (Yaya abatan), we come back omole (he forgot his phone), we go back ogba, I waited 1hour there. As we were coming back from ogba, we branch kfc for wemco area, I wait again ooooooo (kfc took 7mins), we come to back omole. All these movements were personally updated by me. I thing say I go see 4k . E shock me Riders update is only recognized on BOlT... Urs is just like water.... The app is crazy, updating personally for return trip I have done it several times na still fake, always tell rider to update from dere app or U end it dere and d person books anoda |

Beng1234: Today get as he be ooo. I carried a rider, for more than 2hours. Made plenty stops, waited at the boutique, went to kfc, back to the pick up point (a hotel). Trip ended 2k (e added 1k to it sha) . My morale just drop. Naso I park for the estate, off app, on AC, sleep better sleep, as I wake, I go house go continue my sleep. I cannot come and kill my self . U cheated yourself in a way, next time if you re doing a return trip, always tell the rider to update as you re getting to a particular stop. Sometimes Bolts app rolls back especially if the trip is a round trip, only d minutes will be correct. Two ways to solve dis. 1. Asking rider to always update as trip progresses 2. For such trip when you re about to end it, note dis , wen U slide on end trip as the app is rolling, switch to Airplane mode or off data(anyone), d app will.write no network connection, once U see that switch on again, Ur fare will be calculated to the last KM. Note i have tried this several times and I don't have issue wit incomplete KM again |

I picked up the rider and I decided to follow one way (just abt 50meters) to link up the Express. I knew what I was doing thr other route linking the Express was badly flooded and damaged.
Next thing police jump out from nowhere make I park. Na so I park, Olopa sharply enter my car.
Police: your offence is 50k..blah blah blah Me: Oga calm down, the other road is bad that's why i took this route.

Felicity0001: Guy you cancellation rate is high ooh... Lol
Even me wey get 3 cancellations out of 88 uber still sent me a message that my cancellation is high.
So this brings me to a question which has been trying to ask.
How can one avoid cancellation on uber, some requests come with very long distance PU to avoid cancelling can I just avoid the request? What is the detriment of not accepting some request??
Ogas in the house your take please.
Thank you. On Uber acceptance rate is a mere number... But ur cancelation rate is a very important factor. During the festive period, due to d fact that I do only surge trips, anytime a request comes in and is not surge or not a surge I want, I don't accept it. For ur info my acceptance rate on Uber has gone below 20% before and I was still getting trips well but my cancellation rate is always below 10%. So just knw the diff approach for diff company. NB: Uber frown at higher cancellation rate , dey will block you for ever after 3rd warning |

promskid28: What if I change the owner picture to mine? That's amount to Auto ban for life... Let me tell. You how the identification system is programmed on Uber. 1st.. Your Drivers license pics is taken as d fundamental pics 2nd ur Profile Pics is taken as d very first comparison wit d DL pics. 3rdly any pics You.snapped during identification is verified and also Saved too. Subsequent Identification (s) does a major comparison with 1,2,3 above ( notice if Ur ears re not.showing during identification 95% dat dey may reject it is possible, reason is because the eyes, ears and head forms d basics for.d.comparism. Now to u changing the pics to Ur own... That will.not.match any of d previous background data, and dey will assume someone's hacks into d account or a fraudulent act and once Uber takes U off d platform.cos.of.fraudulent act is more like Bye bye |
