theenchanter: omo, PH to Maiduguri far o... And there's an already laid cape guage there. So, the plan was to reconstruct the cape guage because building a new standard guage will cost more than $10b, far above ur $3b estimate, and if it'll be double tracked, more expenses. There's actually nothing wrong with the plan, in my opinion, and it's not a spend more to achieve less approach too. It’s been Reconstructed. Work is already ongoing

Donjazet2: When buhari started, the same noise was actually made.
I remember how we were making noise as to how buhari's "body language" was already setting the time for a ruthless government. Alas we were disappointed to the highest levels.
Propaganda will take you nowhere. Nope

Ashantehene ( the Kumasi king power and influence stretch to some part of ivory coast , they are many native twi speaking ethnic group that pays homage directly to the kingdom of ashanti .on the population size , Ghana is slightly bigger too. Ghana can't be Nigeria 37 state. A region in Ghana for instance is bigger than the whole Eastern Nigeria and probably south west too. ( The northern region of Ghana . Remove northern part of Nigeria , and Ghana will be bigger than Nigeria three times or more by land size . How is Ghana stronger than Ivory Coast economically? They have a bigger GDP and a more diversified economy than you. |

vaxx: You didn't proof anything kid. The wikepedia is there for you to learn . Northern region in Ghana is bigger than the entire south east. the largest state in Nigeria is niger state follow by bornu state. In Ghana, it is old northern region, it is almost the size of bornu state . The Northwest region in Nigeria is bigger than your entire country. But when we talk about size of a country, we tend to look at it through a prism of population. The Country Niger for example is the largest country in west Africa, but they don’t really feature in discussion of “Big” African countries |

raumdeuter: Yes that one dey and student loans are the worst It cannot be discharged in bankruptcy
Obama just paid his own student loan when he became a Senator
My friend that took student loan of 40k paid about $500 per month after 2yrs his balance was still like $38k
Many kids wey use student loan study course wey no make sense or rewarding are paying through their noses now
I think in Nigeria the govt will just credit the Uni directly for any student wey apply
For fresh graduates, na your job go be collateral and you must maintain your salary account in the bank that gave you the facility What I’m thinking the government is going to do regarding that student loan is, remove the subsidy on tertiary education and grant the School full Autonomy. This Action will prompt the School to raise their fees to match their teaching standards. Government will then set up loan facility for student that are unable to pay. Trading subsidised education for student loan. |

A001: Nigeria, the largest economy in Africa and largest producer of crude oil on the continent and one of the largest in the world, is poor. If that's so, all African countries are poor including South Africa.
Selling a false narrative to cover up for the thieving politicians. Or is there another meaning of poor we don't know? I'm sorry to bust your bubble but you are not God, Just because you want something to be, wouldn't make it to be. I can proclaim myself as the richest man in the world, but when I go to the bank to withdraw my money, reality will hit me in the face. So you need to adjust your reality that the country you live in is a very Poor country. |

A001: I've already stated clearly Nigeria is one of the richest countries in Africa based on criteria like GDP, GNI per capita, number of millionaires.
You said Nigeria is poor, and I asked you to list rich countries in Africa, you can't. Nigeria is not among the richest country in Africa, Maybe you don't know what you are talking about. GDP is not a measure of how rich a country is, don't be poor in economics. Stop throwing around economics abbreviation and parameter's you know nothing about, you will sound f**lish. |

A001: Nigeria, the largest economy in Africa, is poor yet her politicians are among the highest paid in the world. As I said earlier, only the ignorant ones and hypocrites say Nigeria is poor.
Our leaders who know the situation of things much more than you and I don't believe that. Or have you seen your darling Tinubu proposed any austerity measures as it's expected from poor countries?
No.
Did he make any move to cut down on state spendings? No.
He's going about the business of governance just like past leaders did even during the oil boom. There's an office for the First Lady that will have many staff under her.
Throughout Tinubu's tenure, that office will gulp billions, if not trillions, of naira.
There might soon be an office for the First Daughter as well in an unprecedented development.
Does that look like how a poor country operates to you? It seems you know more about the country's financial resources than those running the government.
Keep chanting the country is poor all about while your leaders like Tinubu continue to receive some of the highest allowances in the world and stealing billions of naira now and then.
The country is poor for the masses, but not for the politicians.
If Nigeria — the largest economy in Africa — is poor, then all countries in Africa are poor as well. Of course Africa is Poor, it's the Poorest continent after all. You are speaking from the domain of Emotions, I'm talking to you based on fact and reality. The reality that Nigeria is a poor country is not a misnomer, it's a hard base facts!!! Tinubu can create the office of first son, first daughter or first uncle, it will no change the fact and reality that you live in a very poor country. You are the Largest economy in Africa but have the lowest revenue to GDP ratio in the world. South Africa spent has much money on Just education Alone as the Whole Nigeria Budget in a year. Just think about that for a minute, the Total Nigeria Expenditure for a year is what South Africa spend on Just their Educational sector. And no, the Government Spending problem we have is not the Purview of Tinubu, Maybe you forget but they are three arms of Government. The Nigerian executive spending does not even ranked in the Top ten in Africa, Heck the Nigeria President is one of the least paid in the world, The Nigerian president earn less than Ghana, Kenya and even Ivory coast and yes I'm including the allowances. But we have the highest paid legislator in the world and there's nothing the president can do to limit their spending, we the electorate need to start putting and applying pressure on our senator's and rep member to limit their spending, because right now we are channeling our grievances to the wrong source. |

A001: That's the view of ignorant people like you. Obviously, your politicians that know much more than you about the country's financial resources don't think so judging by the way they spend state's funds lavishly including your darling Tinubu. What finances? $30B is not a lot of money. Maybe you meant obi, cause Tinubu has been in Government since 2007 |

A001: Nigeria is poor, but Tinubu wants to appoint 20 special advisers, each of which will have many people working under them. The country is poor, but the Adamawa state governor is about to appoint 50 special advisers, with each employing multiple individuals.
Who is fooling who? Alex Otti appointed 21 special adviser, I didn’t see you complaining |

A lot of petrol station will close down in the coming month.
This is how you fight corruption, not using efcc to chase people up and down.
And this was in 2018, the number of petrol station will have doubled by now.
There are economic zone and “cities” in Cameroon where there are no single fuel station, every body there depends on smuggle fuel called “Nzoa” from Nigeria .

You’ll always know who is prepared to lead a country.
It’s delusion grandeur for anyone to be looking for a saint especially in political leadership.
Saints do not exist in politics!!!!
Anyone campaigning to you on his perceived “Goodness” is a liar.
Let them campaign to you on their policies instead, check what their track records are. |

GeneralDae: Such is life. You campaign with poetry and govern with prose. I always find politicians who like sweet talking and dishonesty to be distasteful. All they have is flowery words that can not be backed by actions, when the chips are down they always flounder, because they care more about maintaining some self conceited image of themselves. You remember that social media president of Zambia? “ The capacity of his social media team to promote the president even when the reality is far from rosy and the absence of effective opposition to expose the emerging policy failures of his administration and popular discontent have created the impression that all is well. ” https://mg.co.za/thoughtleader/opinion/2022-12-18-why-zambias-president-is-popular-abroad-but-a-disappointment-at-home/Same thing with George weah of liberia, People fell for his propaganda. Now Liberians are regretting voting him in. Same thing with Akufo addo, dismal policy direction. Now the Kenya president is towing the same line. Africans should stop falling for all this “messiah” leader’s preaching change. Telling us how they did not wear shoes to school or thereabouts. During the Nigeria presidential campaign, BAT was always talking about his policy, while some were telling us that he has only one shoe and wristwatch for 30 years. |
