I read somewhere this morning that PMS prices might double soon in Benin Republic 🇧🇯.
Benin have been having relatively cheap fuel compared to Ghana, Mali, and others grin.
Of course, what do you expect.

The prices of a product is 164 in Nigeria, and same product is selling for above 500 in Neighboring Benin and you expect the market no to take advantage of that? That's wishful thinking.

I can tell you for a fact that around 40-50% of Subsidized PMS is not sold in nigeria.

Salaries delayed one 1 week in just one month of April because Ruto administration is refusing to borrow like a drunken sailor we had. Or PRINT MONEY LIKE BUHARI - which has caused inflation in Nigeria (now Naira is 650 to a dollar :: - PAYING THE PRICE)

If Nigeria is to change - you need to execute PAINFUL PAINFUL reforms.

Already you petrol prices have gone up from 180 Naira to now 600 NAIRA.

Now that is THE PAIN to move from a Zoo to functional country.

If TINUBU is half as serious as Ruto there will be a lot of painful reforms that will be required to fix the ZOO!!!!!!

Almost every Nigeria has made illegal electricity connection - you MORONS in the ZOO expect somehow the electricity company will RUN on AIR?
Please, Tinubu and Ruto should not be described in the same breath.

Ruto is a clown, who only knows how to speak big English just like the Ghana President, he has nothing upstairs.

Since he became president, all his decision has been a disaster, most kenyan's with working brains are already cussing him out everyday.

Evidence. Kenya has 10.5m metered customers. NIGERIA n Ghana 4M.SOUTH Africa 17m.
Lol. Mad fellow.

Kenya has only 8 Million household connected to electricity, out of that number less than 50% is metered, giving you about 4 million metered customer.

Nigeria has 11.06 Million Household connected to electricity, of which 46.3% are metered. which means Nigeria has 5.13 million metered customer.

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) says it is ready to issue licences to companies interested in petrol importation.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Farouk Ahmed, chief executive officer of NMDPRA, said the criteria for importing kerosene and diesel will be applicable for the importation of the product.

However, Ahmed said several conditions have to be met before the applicants are granted licences.

“There are a lot of conditions to be met before you are given a licence to import petrol,” he said.

“I cannot give you all the rundown now but I can tell you that just the way marketers import diesel or jet kero, there are conditions for all that and the same condition will apply to those who want to import premium motor spirit (PMS).”

Only companies that are lessees producing crude oil and/or condensates or who are holders of crude oil refining licences are eligible to supply wholesale petroleum liquids (including petrol importation), according to section 197 (2) of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021.

While the PIA empowers the NMDPRA to issue licences to refiners or producers of crude oil, the regulation, in sections 73 (3) and 111 (1), provides that the minister of petroleum must approve such licences.

Currently, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) is the last-resort supplier, tasked with importing refined petrol to ensure adequate supply and distribution in the country.

Through the direct sale, direct purchase (DSDP) scheme, the country exports crude oil and exchanges it for refined petroleum products.

So NNPC has been responsible for paying fuel subsidy.

Instead of remitting to the federation account, they instead tide the money for subsidy payment

Lmao.. Please again I asked a simple question.

If you say the man bought and equipped the military more, how did security get worse?
Could it be that this "equipping the military" isn't as impactful (truthful) as the admin has been saying?
Or you are saying an ex general nor know anything about warfare
You are asking the wrong question.

What are the Security challenges we are having in Nigeria Today. Kidnapping, Farmer-herder clash, banditry.

What arms of the executive government do you think is best to deal with this? Military or Police?

Insurgency and piracy are 90% dealt with by the Military, So the Military have performed wonderfully.

It's the Nigerian Police that has failed in it's job and should be held accountable.

I am not sure the man has nipped anything in the bud. To this day the notorious sambisa forest has not been carpet bombed and is still a haven for bh.

Sambisa cannot be carpet-bombed, it's not a plot of land.

That's not our counter-insurgency works.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Some jokes do tell themselves .

A government's basic functions are providing leadership, maintaining order, providing public services, providing national security ,providing economic security, and providing economic assistance.

SECURITY ! That’s one major area buhari has failed and we are bringing it to the fore.

Someone who is trying to defend buhari on that comes here telling us about purchase of military hardware. Then he proceeds to state the obvious that military is not the same as security . Yet he says we are the one with low iQ.

Why would a person with high iQ bore us with stories of military spendings that has not reduced our security challenges but instead things have gotten worse on a broader scale ?

Make it make sense na!
That's because you are basing your thought on the presumption that Nigeria was once a safe utopia.

Nigeria has never been a safe place!!!

It has always been a country that grapples with insecurity, just because a bulk of the insecurity that occurred during Jonathan regime was in the north-east a place that really does not affect you and doesn't add much to the economy of the country does not mean it doesn't exist.

I blame the Media for this, in their selective reporting, during the election there was less report of bandit, kidnapping attack in Nigeria, which lead many to believe that the insecurity took a break, but it didn't, in-fact, there was a lot of herdsmen attack during the election but it was not reported, sensationalism journalism, that's what most Nigeria media are, that's why report are distorted.

Below link is the Nigeria security tracker, you can check through it and see that insecurity didn't take a break during election, the media just stop reporting it.

https://www.cfr.org/nigeria/nigeria-security-tracker/p29483

Or do you think the farmer-herder clash in Benue started during Buhari?

According to data which does not care about your emotions, more people died under Jonathan than Buhari.
