[color=olive]Pardon me, but I need your opinion on this. Why is it that ever since the "new millenium" nigerian artistes have never ceased to surprise us with meaningless slangs embodied in their songs?

I mean, when it was just 'Tongolo', 'no long thing', 'nothing dey happen' it was cool and refreshing, (I think). Then weird stuffs like 'efrebor' can to the surface, like wth?? Maybe we shoulda seen this coming from the 'woske - yeewo' lady?

I was suprised to go through Nairaland today and found song titles like 'Disco Peperemepe' (are we supposed to move backwards or forwards?), 'skiboropopo', kalangolo.

Others are just obscene like Lala's Idi nla, what the heck is going on? Like seriously.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they have to be 'britiko' or 'yankee-ish' about this but there should be a little bit of reasoning when naming/making a track.

Even things like 'kamakaze on a kentro level', if you ain't going to say what it means, take it out of the song. If it's some cult slang, damn! every listener has been hypnotized. Lol.

But on a more serious note, we need musicians with deep thoughts and not just those that want to make it quick by saying every rude word under the sun? It's good to try to be on the US standard but Americanization is not the key. neither is being RAZZ and vulgar. It's good to try innovative things in songs but nah, too many slangs just kill the whole idea.

Christianity is not in outward observation. This people hv changed the meaning of christianity to now mean i don't drink, i don't smoke, i wear long skirts, tortle necks, jump up trousers and so on. Tell me, hw does that benefit the next man? Its all selfish. . . Me me me. You don't hear them talk about love which is the central theme of the gospel. I played both installments of Max Payne on PC. I liked the storyline in both of them. Especially the first. Sounded like something Frank Miller would write, draw (is there a word for what he does?) depict. Anyways from what I hear of the film, I'll see it if I can just to satisfy my curiousity. I don't know where they got the demon bits from. Except if Payne was hallucinating in the film. Either way they've spoiled my guy's persona. The Maximum Pain in bad guys' collective asses

Okay, you say he rearranges your furniture. . . how so? Does he have a particular pattern or order he wants things? For instance, does he arrange by color or by size? What you should be worried about is what is he trying to express, You'll be surprised to know how geniuses started.

Please don't stiffle his creativity and genius ooh.

About the remote control, don't ask for it. . . just pick up something else, something YOU want him to have and pay attention to that thing. Gush over it, make a big deal over it. . . soon he's going to want that, then you make a production about not giving to him, even tell him to go play with the remote control, while you play with what you have. When you do give it to him, do it grudgingly. The goal is to make the remote control as unattractive to him as possible. Do this a few times and trust me, your remote control will be yours in no time.

Reverse Psychology Baby! You have no idea how many things I've gotten children to do using that method. The power is yours. . . use it wisely. Grin

I am tired of locking the toilet doors from outside so that he would not go and wash his hands in the WC, I am tired of sellotaping the DVD player's slot, the Skycard to the box, the phone to its cradle . . .

His current obsession is with light and TV switches etc, he likes flicking it on and off constantly, which totally pisses me off, one minute you are reading, the next you have to jump up to go and switch back on the light, and he goes back to switch it off because he thinks its a game
