MTN Nigeria announced a profit after tax of ₦51 billion in Q1 2020 - a 6% increase compared with Q1 2019. This increase was largely driven by revenue from data subscriptions, which rose to ₦74 billion – a 60% increase compared with Q1 2019. Revenue from data subscriptions is expected to further increase this quarter (Q2 2020) as workers in many parts of Nigeria are working remotely due to the coronavirus outbreak.

- Revenue grew by 16.7% to N329bn from N282bn in the previous quarter.

Service revenue rose by 16.7 percent year on year to NGN 328.5 billion, driven by voice and data revenue. Net profit increased by 5.6 percent to NGN 51.15 billion from NGN 48.44 billion in Q1 2019 and earnings per share increased by 5.6 percent to NGN 0.025.

EBITDA grew by 15.3 percent year on year to NGN 173.5 billion resulting in an EBITDA margin of 52.5 percent, an increase of 0.6 percentage points. Mobile subscribers increased by 4.2 million to 68.5 million, an increase of 7.4 percent. Active data users increased by 1.7 million to 26.8 million and data revenue grew by 59.2 percent. The performance was achieved against the backdrop of several developments during the quarter. Value-added tax (VAT) was increased in February from 5.0 percent to 7.5 percent, which adversely affected both revenue and costs.

MTN Nigeria said mobile subscribers increased by 4.2 million to 68.5 million, an increase of 7.4 percent.

MTN Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, Ferdi Moolman, said data revenue increased by 59.2 percent due to growth in data traffic and the addition of 1.7 million active Internet subscribers to the network during the quarter.

The situation has been exacerbated by upheavals in the global oil market, which put significant downward pressure on oil prices, leading to an exchange rate adjustment by the Central Bank of Nigeria on 20 March, increasing some of the operator's costs. In addition, a series of lockdown measures began being implemented globally in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in significant operational challenges and supply chain disruptions.

And send a proof of payment to them on Facebook. To me I was not cautious at this point and forgot about the transaction.
Second Red Flag: They told my wife that she will be paid in next two hours which was to be by 7:00p.m. because the transaction was done around 5:00p.m.
When she opened up to me that the transaction had failed she made a post on Facebook tagging Mrs Joy Binomo Investment as a scammer and shared on her page. Would you believe it that these scammers had prepared for such alarms, they delete every negative post on their page and block the sender. They blocked my wife from their page. They did this so that unsuspecting victims may never see such posts, thereby never believe or fall for their scams.
Third Red Flag: It later becomes obvious that all the so called success stories were forged by themselves. It is after they have blocked that you will know that you have been scammed.

Residents of the Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsea had a disturbing night, because of a couple one Mr John Udoka 45, and his Wife Mrs Sarah Udoka 37.

The Man was reported to have beaten up the wife to pulp because she took more than one meat from the soup pot as they eat in the evening, he said he had told her to remain one meat for the next morning, on going there to check he discovered that the meat was not there, and she denied eating it.

The woman who was seen crying and screaming for help as the husband launched punches on her face.

The Residence however complained that there could be more to the quarrel than just a mere meat from the soup pot.

The woman was them taken to a nearby clinic in that night for first aid treatment as she could be seen bleeding from both eyes, however the husband had ran as soon as the street emptied itself in their neighborhood for fear of being arrested by the Police. Those who saw it first hand called the scenario an ugly one.

Coronavirus, lady cries for help as the lockdown continues. In the video, she was narrating on how the government did not provide for food and other basic amenities to relieve her for the lockdown.

The Nigerian lady who spoke in Yoruba and repeatedly said "she is starving", also went on to reveal what she will do when she gets the "help" she wants.

She further expresses the need to satisfy her sexual urge as she can't cope with the lockdown anymore.
