garsul: Assalamu alaikum. The OP only spoke the minds of some muslims, of what use is a topic on the FP, when the thread will almost certainly be derailed by intolerant bigots casting aspersion on the deen and saying regretful things about our noble prophet (PBUH) with some muslims battling to distance islam from their threacherous lies & slanders. For me and some other brothers & sisters that I know, we would rather come to the islamic section and pick an uninfested thread for our consumptionPlease where are the "your other brothers and sisters", let's see them. After all, most of us here have affirmed that the op spoke our mind. Please brother, your post even suggests that you're not conversant with happenings on this section. tbaba, have told you that this was borne out of the meeting that was held recently in Lagos. Even wizeboy, buttresses the fact that a thread hidden in this section, doesn't mean derailers won't come. I can also attest to that FACT. i think with the above you understand why we are clamoring for this. |
Ajibam: Enlightenment and education? After giving you a whole section! You still complain about enlightenment, you must be a joker!I Don hear you oga, I am a joker. Clap for yourself serious man. |
anselm791: Actually I think religion is what a man does with his solitude and all man should keep thy religion to thyself in thy section, anything on FP should be fair game and open to opinions, no matter how funny.Yes, everything on front page is opened to opinions but without breaking the Nairaland rules. How do you justify, when someone bursts to Islamic threads and start calling Muslim different names like Boko haram members, terrorists. Likewise insult Allah, his messenger etc. Be honest bro, is that an opinion? So, in that case the moderator has no choice than to ban or remove the post. That's it bro |
cirmuell: The ones that make FP on Fridays are not from Islamic section abi, the ones that make it during your festivals are not from Islamic section too right? How many thread about the "other faith" do you see on FP on a day that is not their worships day or special event? Do you know how many made it during Ramadan? or is their any other section belonging solely to muslims apart from Islamic section that we don't know of?. You should have made your point without roping in people of "other faith" I don't give a damn whichever you had in mind.Let me ask you this question: When last did you see Muslim threads hit front-page? It used to be so before now every Friday, but seun just decided to stop it abruptly after making only guests to view it. There's a biggie in front-page because some people don't bother to visit other sections except the front-page. So, we need to enlighten our fellow Muslim brothers and educate other non Muslims about Islam. So, bro that's why we are clamoring for this. |
The truth is that Mr seun osewa thus far has not really justified why the Muslim threads haven't been hitting front page for sometimes now. Despite the fact that Muslims have served meritoriously and still doing so on Nairaland. One thing you should realize is that many nairalanders just visit the front page, and don't bother visiting other sections. That's why most at times, threads on the front page get lots of attention, contributions etc. When you decide to isolate the Islam for Muslim sections because of bans, negative comments by others, and your thought that Islam/ Muslims are violent is totally uncalled for. No matter how you try hard to hide the section, those who still want to be mischievous do still come there to do what they are good at. So, i as a Nairaland Muslim, together with my brethren humbly request that You Reconsider your action of not putting our threads on frontpage , and be fair in your judgment and do what's right. #seun Muslim threads needs to hit front-page cc: Seun mukina2 maclatunji Jarus tbaba1234 penmight |
The rate at which people bashed the OP is really bad as though he created the news himself. We all know Nairaland is a forum where different issues are discussed whether it pleases you or not. Please, let's stop all these name callings for once. As for Shekau, I initially believed what the DHQ said earlier. But with this video, they will still have to look inwards and carry out a thorough investigation to ascertain whether he's truly the one killed, or appeared in the video. Boko haram is the enemy of all. And the military must be supported to see to their eventual end. Shekau, whether you are alive or dead, the fact is that nemesis will soon catch up with you and your cronies. God bless Nigeria |
rama5555: @shehuAba: Pls wat dept and level r u?300 level. Department of Mathematics |
davo3286: Who gave them credit? Tell us sincerely if you have heard of these names before, if not now that Fashola is bringing it to the fore. Jonathan and PDP should stop politicising the issue of Ebola, and make it seem as though his govt worked wonders to curtail it. |
davo3286: Fashola is saying trash, in my opinion, and should quit saying it. Since when has 'we' become 'I'!?Did Fashola praise himself for making this work. He only said, that credit should be given to whom it's due and the GEJ led govt should stop politicising it. He even went as far as letting the whole world know the role of each of them in curtailing this. Have you heard of these names before? If not now that Fashola is bringing it to the fore. I used to respect you a lot on this forum, but definitely your ranting against Fashola is totally out of place. |
taharqa: Fashola shld keep his fucckin mouth SHUT. WTH!!! I kinda like Fash but I just find frivilous peeps disgusting! If d ebola outbreak had become an epidermic, wud Fash not hv been amongst d loudmouths callin Jona's name and askin for his head. Wait! Weren't dis same Fash and Co already blamin him for 'allowin' Sawyer tru d 'national' airport wen they thought it might get outa hand.... Who provided the facilities and personnels at d National Disease Control Centre, d very body in charge of coordinating the onslaught against ebola? Who provided d framework for d tracing of suspected 'contact' persons? Who servd as d link bw critical international bodies like d CDC, World bank and Doctorswithoutborders? Who provided continuous and effective screening at our Airports, Seaports and border crossings? Who provided d protective gears, drugs and oda equipments to most states centres across d country? Who coordinated Info dissemination during d period, a very critical part of disease control anywhere? Who fucckin gave both Lagos and Rivers state #200m each to fight d disease? Who in their read senses wud even questn d central role of a national Govt in any sort of disease control sef??Why will the federal government suddenly lay claim to Curtailing Ebola when people laid down their life to let it be. Suddenly, none of them is remembering Adedavoh and the other nurses who died due to the disease. You were shouting money, money, money as though the money will cure the disease if people didn't sacrifice to make it work. The truth is that, Fashola acknowledges those people who made this achievable and not necessarily laying claim to it. In fact, if any government, should be commended for a job well done. It will surely be the Lagos state government for its protectiveness and efficiency. |
mattAR: hav u been cleared? how.Not a new student bro. Just telling you, how things are done in school. |
mattAR: Some pple are seating down in their parlor or where ever they are crossing their legs and typing "i've not yet been cleared o, fingers crossed i will be cleared soon" hmm seat down there and be waiting 4 unilorin 2 clear u, don't u know u av 2 go to your department in school and start ur clearance procedure. They can't clear you in the department. If you have issues with your clearance, the next place you can count on is the 'COMSIT'. You don't have anything to do in the department yet |
Joy83: Okay..... Noted! Tambuwal loyalistOga, it's not about loyalist or not. I don't have any affiliation whatsoever with him, and even if he declares for presidency, I don't see me supporting him. But, Truth must be told at all times, no matter what, who, and how. |
Joy83: Okay... It is well with Nigeria! |
Joy83: Okay... It is well with Nigeria! What interpretation is it nationally or internationally except the one you're giving to it. You're making it seem as though, if he's not there Nigeria won't progress. You didn't even give him, the benefit of the doubt maybe he's not in town or some other important excuses. What if he has informed the President aforehand, and let him know why he won't be there. You just came to a conclusion that, he's not doing this or that bla bla bla. Sometimes, we let sentiment guide us and we discuss matters that can't add/subtract from Nigeria's development. Whether Tambuwal attends functions or not, it's none of anybody's business in as much as he's not going against the constitution. |
Joy83: Another live program is on now, "Special Independence Anniversary Celebration Dinner", where dignitaries ranging from president, vice president, senate president, deputy speaker house of rep, and many more.Mr man, stop been sentimental and face the facts. Is it compulsory for him as a speaker to be there constitutionally. If not, to hell with GEJ, and his wasteful celebrations. |
Ahmadjr: Evening dudes and dudettes and of course those who are in between. Pls guys I've just heard of this dept dressing code and I wanna know if it's utterly compulsory as in private school compulsory. Thanks.Dressing code is specifically for some departments and it's usually sacrosanct especially in the case of Law and Accounting. I think counsellor education, marketing use that too. That of counsellor education is not that sacrosanct as others. Then for medicine, and other courses. There's no dress code for it especially in P.S. Not sure of when they get to Oke oyi. But to add to that, there's a dress code enforced for all students I.e You must dress properly while on campus. There is a penalty for offenders but it's not really been strict for sometimes now. |
Jammy2012: I'm still at it again o..Well, to the best of my knowledge, the course you were given by UNILORIN might supersede. Because it might be due to the fact that you didn't meet the cut off of your course that you were given the other course. My Advice: Wait until you get cleared, or better still you can go to the admissions office to lay your complaints. All the best. |
homesteady: if your sibling is celebrating something like marriage, is it compulsory for you to attend? That's my sibling and I will be judged by what is morally right first, in fact I can be punished in that regards, for going against that. But as a public official, I can only be judged/ penalized for what's constitutionally right. If the president or any other person is celebrating and I didn't go there. No one CAN punish/ penalize me for that. So, let's judge Tambuwal by what's constitutionally right and not otherwise. |
Joy83: You have just said nothing in relation to the topic. Try to put sentiment apart and address issue accordingly. In fact, you are somehow outdated. So, because David mark attends functions, you now like him more abi. Come to think of it, is attending a function by the government a compulsory duty that the speaker must partake in. If not, to hell with your liking of David Mark or not. |
The question that comes to mind is: Is it compulsory that he attends those functions. If he doesn't attend any, is that against the constitution of the country. We should all stop been sentimental about issues and face the facts according to the dictates of the constitution. If he has not been performing his duties effectively then we can start talking. Or is attending those functions part of his duties. The fact is that, no matter how you cry or shout, since he's a public officer, you can only question him for not doing what's constitutionally right. |
BBFM: I give God all the glory for giving me a chance to swallow my innocuous remarks as regads the credibility in Unilorin admission process. My earlier criticism was informed by some unscrupulous element's acts of deceit and misinformation. I held firmly on to my decision not to lure anybody for assistance. I was ready to forfeit the admission if I had to bribe or beg some big guns for assistance having ganerred 86% in the PUTME though a DE applicant. From my own end here, Apology accepted. This is why you don't need to come into conclusions anyhow without concrete proofs and evidences to back it up. My advice to you: Don't make hasty conclusions especially when you are frustrated. Welcome to BBF, and to cap it all, the Faculty of Law (I love and respect that Faculty a lot). |
Runs to the search engine. Abeg, Google help me answer this question. OP, when I find answer, I go come back. |
Tcourage:
I thought your questions have been answered.Tcourage:
Well, I perceive that you are scared, (which is not unexpected), But, you have no option than to be patient and calm. If not, Hypertension go kill You ooo. One thing you must know about UNILORIN, is that if you are not patient, Hmm I really fear for You. Some peeps have been admitted for over a month now, and they are yet to be cleared, and some others uploaded yesterday and they were cleared almost instantaneously. Once more, Be Patient. |

I thought your questions have been answered satisfactorily. Maybe you should check previous pages. Let me chip this in, since jamb have offered you admission, then you are good to go(Hope it's UNILORIN). Because most at times the school sends the names to jamb for confirmation even before releasing it on the school website. Though in few cases, reverse is the case. As for your course, if your jamb combination and WAEC tallies with the requirement for economics, then you will definitely be cleared for the course you were admitted so far it's been confirmed by UNILORIN too. As for the cut off point. Well I can't say much, but the truth is sometimes it does not matter, and even those who said, this/that is the cut off, are also not sure about it. So, be rest assured and await a text message from UNILORIN soonest, BUT if nothing happens till resumption, then you might contemplate going to the admissions office and show them, the admission status/ possibly letter from JAMB, and it will be sorted out, God's willing. But in any case, you are definitely ADMITTED, CONGRATULATIONS. |
THUNDER4real: Hey mind your biznex, and call a spade a spade. If APC present a better candidate than criminals and corrupt individuals like buhari, atiku and tinubu, then they have my vote. If you are a campaigner for APC go and look for blind people like you, that you will convince to sell their votes to APC.Well you have your opinion and it's absolutely yours. But for you to accuse APC members of been criminals is uncalled for, if you don't have facts to back it up. Like I said, stop deceiving us with the fact that you dislike PDP but bla bla bla. Tell the whole world where you truly belong to and not blinded by sentiments. |
Steadmann: Go Suraj Go.E be like say, this oga na herbalist. |
THUNDER4real: Honestly I don't really like to vote for GEJ and PDP in 2015, but when you examine the alternative which is APC you will find out that they are worse and more criminal minded. APC aspirants are mostly hardened criminals that can lead this country to square one.Mr man, stop been hypocritical and sentimental. If you don't like to vote Jonathan, then why don't you support the APC irrespective of anything and stop accusing them falsely. BTW, who are the hardened criminals that you are referring to. You should bring it to the fore and let's discuss it. If we continue with this mentality of 'i don't like PDP', but bla bla bla. Hmm it won't take us anywhere. |
Faun: The man already knows he has lost the spot to Atiku and his vast cash, so this is his own way of accepting defeat before the actual duel.Oga, abeg commot for road. What's your own concern in the matter been discussed here. We know your type "Clueless Buttlickers" |
Where are the fellow progressives. barcanista, egift, berem, Gbawe, GenBuhari, Cramjones, Ngeneukwenu, etc The general has spoken. |
Wish him well. |
Ngwakwe: I have informed whoever knows Buhari to advise him to leave 2015 and come back in 2019.Come 2015. You'll be stunned. Just watch out and see. |
Those involved in the fight to ensure Ebola didn't escalate are Nigerians and did it selflessly for love of job and country. So, I don't think it is out of place for any one who to say we conquered Ebola (even though he wasn't directly involved) to mean that he is taking the credit to himself. When GEJ addressed the UN few days ago about Ebola he didn't say 'I conquered...' But 'we conquered...' So did the minister of health when he addressed the press. Because which ever which way you look at it, we all contributed to the success. I think what Fashola is trying to say, indirectly, is that the credit should go to him and not GEJ. Period!
So, let him come out in black and white and say it instead of trying to argue about who should and shouldn't be credited
