I like this list very well. About northerners not being part of the list, there is reason. During colonial intervention was the period when the white men came with western education and Christianity. Mind you all they did not come through the sahara but through the sea, the white people start colonizing the south and providing them education and religion while the invasion hasn't gotten to the north then so this affect the north in terms of western education. Again that is why Christianity dominated the south. While the north has Islamic civilization which During pre-colonial era we were practicing federalism.we also have our schools but islamic ones and also we have a sound and good tax system called "jangali" as a result of Islamic civilization. You need a good guardian and councillor who will advice on your carrier path most especially educational aspect of it. In my secondary schools days, we had the office of guardian and councilling. I was once advised by the person in charge of the office when I was about writing my jamb. I could remember vividly she ask me "Abubakar what will you want to study in your university I said bus adm or econ. She said is commerce, econ and maths you best subject I said know. She ask what I said Government. She said you should study pol sci or sociology" so I was "what will I do with that" she said" course of study don't matter what really matters is you grade" I accepted the advice an applied for sociology because my elder sister studied sociology. Am surprising it became like a fun to me and I enjoyed reading the course and at last I graduated with a 2:1 in the discipline. So I will advice don't follow your heart desire follow what your can do best. From what I have seen you chose the wrong, should gone for English language because you write very well. You constructed very good sentences but if you think Is not let change you dept

Some state uni's are better than many private uni's.

But employers have this @ the back of their mind when recruiting.

First preference: Federal Uni's ...ESP the best 5: U.I,IFE,ABU,UNN,UNILAG,UNILORIN/UNIBEN. Grad's from Fed Uni's like UNIPORT are most often than not viewed with 'suspicion'.

2nd preference: Private uni's.

3rd preference: State uni's.

*The gap between no. 1 and 2 is VERY VERY WIDE

The university is in Gujba road and boko haram are currently in control of Gujba local government area....Last week there was rumour that boko haram were coming and everyone left the school premises....The school has been close for the last ten days,the state government is now asking everyone to resume...Am afraid an attack on the university is imminent and if it happens they will start blaming the federal government for their failure

I respect your opinion. I was in hundred level in yobe state university when the event happened. The military are way powerful than the militias and presently the military barrack is close to the school and we have the highest number of military personnel, equipment and facility close to the school in fact the school is just like a mini NDA with out military training

That guy drive the latest Mercedes c class and his children are schooling in one of the best school in Jos. His wife drive an expensive and fine Toyota corolla. Guy mine yourself.

97 acct. Vc is having like 12 acct, the Dvcs are having 8 each, registrar is having 6, each professor 3, each Dr 2 while other lecters academic and non academic are sharing the rest while the uni is having one acct to manage.

You should go and see your guardian and counselor in school and seek advice. I got D7 in maths and presently a final year student of sociology dept. During my time with D7 in math you can study law, English, sociology, pol sci, public adm, linguistics but for now I don't know. Meet your Guardian and counselor if you don't have one go to the uni and look for the admission officer and tell him your problem and he will be in the best position to advice you. Wish you luck.

Hello everyone. Well I always feel annoyed when people loose hope on opportunities the have while others are dying to have that. I have three people in my family who studied education and presently are living very comfortable, my elder brother studied English education and after Nysc with 5 month he got a job with Nigerian airforce as a flying Officer ( two star). My aunty studied biology education and presently works with the united nation. That women has flown to many country in the world. My uncle is the worst of all, that man studied the most disrespectful education course in fact education single honour called (continuous education) in unimaid but presently he is a bank manager in Gombe with his staff car living not only comfortable but extremely comfortable. But one thing with all of them the graduated with a good grade (2:1). So hope this may encourage all students of edu to study hard because success await you. Bye!!!
